Darksol88 Aden, never being one to eat all that much, settled for a couple of pancakes, bacon and a biscuit. Doubting that Mareep would be all that fond of such stuff, though, let alone be used to it in any way, he figured it was better to get what few berries he could. A little of everything, to figure out what flavor she might prefer. Seeing what people were around, he was kinda glad. It meant less of a chance for Mareep to be overwhelmed so soon. If anything, he'd wager it was similar to what some might've seen passing by the area on a normal basis. He set his plate on a nearby table, then the one littered with berries near a curious Mareep. "Yeah, it does... been a while since seeing anything like this." He finally said. I got couple of pancakes myself, with a bit of syrup to go along with it. Some eggs, some bacon as well. And a biscuit. Hey, I did have the room on my plate. I made my way off to a table and sat down. "Well, how are you feeling about today?" I asked.

"Better than I was yesterday, or at least before last night. I just hope Mareep's not too nervous about it." Aden would've added that she probably didn't know much more about fighting apart from necessity, but this seemed like a moot point and a mild reversal of his newer outlook. It'd cause unnecessary worry for Mareep as well, something he wanted to avoid if at all possible. "You know, being new to the party and all."

"Just don't go in all tense like you were before. I know that the gym leader tour is difficult but this is supposed to be a learning experience among all else."

"I know. What happens, happens. In a way, it's all for a reason, right?" Aden asked, looking back at Mareep to see her shifting about. "Now, there's no need for you to be all tense either. You'll be fine." He knew it wouldn't give that much reassurance, but so long as there was a low chance of her running in a circle bleating about what to do, he didn't foresee anything to worry over.

I started eating a bit trying to think. Aden truly seemed to have a bit of a turn around which, personally, I could only pray that he could keep such an attitude. Lets see just how much exactly he had gotten from the Ruins of Alph. "Well, go on and start finishing up eating and well see what to do afterwards."

Truthfully, Aden was at least a little more quiet for the remainder of the meal. If anything, he did glance at Mareep every now and then, soon realizing one thing. For one that seemed nervous, or maybe even of a timid or shy disposition, she seemed to have no qualms eating the more bitter portions of what had been given to her.
If anything, he found it as a unique difference. Nidoran often complained at such offerings, instead preferring something with a little more spice. Poliwhirl, to actually have a minor oddity, liked a drier taste. How that one ate anything, however, was beyond Aden's comprehension. He never got a clear look at it.
Raticate, on the other hand, didn't care one way or another. So long as it wasn't bolted down, there was a good chance it'd be eaten and its container chewed on if one existed.

I finished eating and gave a relieved sigh. "Well, I think I'm good. So Aden. What's on the agenda?" I asked. "What now?"

"I thought about a small spar with you, actually. But that and trip to the gym would be a little much for the four. In light of that, it might be better to make sure they're as ready for this as I am, and go then." Aden figured it'd be a decent plan, until one thing crossed his mind. "Though before or after then, I might want to finally get those supplies as intended."
Mareep tried to take this in, but truthfully, she was confused by nearly all of it.

Again, Aden showed how much of a surprise he's being since after that trip to the ruins. Just what the hell happened back there. I couldn't hold back my surprise, but also I couldn't hold back a bit of...well. Joy. Aden was actually living it up. Unbelievable. "Well we can have a match with each other then figure out what to do from there." I said. "It wouldn't hurt to get a bit of practice in. And hell, maybe we can go around the routes and see if anyone is itching for a bit of a battle while we are at it. My Pokemon are in a bit of need for exercise anyhow."

Initially, the surprise confused Aden, but it didn't take long for him to figure out the most likely reason. For what it was worth, he was surprised with his sudden changes in personality too, but at the same time, it felt natural. A likely result of the more personal circumstances, he figured.
He nodded to Blizzard after hearing what he said. "Yeah. If nothing else, the wild Pokemon around will help for a little practice if they attack. Don't worry, Mareep, I'll try to avoid encountering any others if that happens."

Off to the west from here is a bit of an open spot. There are a few trainers over there, but not too many. We might not be bothered at all while we have our spar, which will be good to start off with."

"I think I might know where you're talking about. Didn't we go by there when we traveled here yesterday?" Aden asked. He had a feeling he might've been wrong, given that his knowledge on the region wasn't anything vast, at least compared to someone that's lived there for several years. At best, he knew of routes and cities thanks to the availability of a map.

There's a few spots we can have at it there as well without being bothered too much, if at all." I said. "Up to you."

"That area would be fine So long as those two from before aren't still around. I felt bad thrashing them like I did last time." Aden admitted. "Wasn't much of a practice run."

"Well, Im ready to get going if you are, Aden." I told him. "I think I might know who to have to go up against your Pokemon too." I then said, musing a bit. Oh I had several in mind. Part of me wanted to be down right cruel and go with Porygon-Z again, but eh. One step at a time.
