The World of Darth [ON HOLD]

The male vampire did not reopen his eyes at her answer, on the contrary, he kept them closed and focused on the image of the moon.
He did not comment on her words and just remained silent.
As she drank her glass and put it down, Louis's eyes slowly reopened. When Angeles jumped on the guardrail, he gaze at her hair floating in the wind, white strand against the lightening darkness of the night sky.
"I know..." his voice was a whisper.
His eyes drifted to her face and he smiled sadly at her.
"If one day you change your mind, I shall be there..." his voice was so low that it might just have been a thought accompanied by the image which had disturbed Angeles during her hunt earlier in the night.
His eyes moved away from her, but he remained where he was staring at the sky now tainted by the arrival of the first sun rays.

Angeles flinched slightly at the image again and fell forward, falling down the side of the building. The need to get away from Louis now was stronger than ever. She flipped in time to land on her feet and vanish. Using her speed to run as long as she could.

This was wrong. But why it was wrong Angeles did not know, or rather, did not want to admit. She tightly closed her eyes and stopped just inside the city limits, balling her hands into fists.

Louis looked at her falling, not fleeing. This was the first time she was ever fleeing in front of someone, even more in front of him. He looked at she disappeared in the haze of the early morning. He turned to his glass on the table, full next to her empty one.

Slowly he detached himself from the guardrail and walked to the table. He sat in a chair and took her glass between his fingers. He brought the glass to his eyes, looking at the mark left by her lips on the crystal. He sighed and took his glass.

As the sun raised slowly, the male vampire empty his glass. Today was going to be a hell of a day.

Angeles sat down and watched the sun rise, bathing her pale skin with an orange glow. Her hands slowly unclenched and she sighed before whistling. It was several minutes until Alexandria trotted up. Angeles stood and petted the horse's nose before leading her out of the city. Once they were fifty yards away Angeles let go of the horse.

"I need you to stay here," she said softly to the horse, rubbing her neck. She pecked her neck before walking back into the city and made her way to the castle.

Louis closed his eyes. He needed to rest a little. The sun was annoying but not painful and he did not want to move from the terrace.

A silhouette appeared by Louis's side only minutes after he had decided to rest.
He did not open his eyes yet he spoke.
"Yes?"
A dark yet strangely high male voice answered.
"I am not going."
Louis sighed and turned to the male werewolf looking at him.
"This is your choice, you know the risk."
The wolf nodded.
"I don't want to die."
Louis did not say anything, he just looked at the young wolf named Charles, who had join the Unit only fifty years ago. At first he had hoped to get along with Emilia but she had shut him down quickly. Then he had done his duty without flaw nor exceptional abilities.
The wolf wanted to say something but he just shook his head and disappeared.

Louis closed back his eyes with a hint of sadness on his face. Sorry Charles...

Leon looked over as Emilia went into the river. Eventually he stood from his spot by the tree and walked over, putting his pants on and lifting his cloak from the ground, shaking the dirt off of it before throwing it around his shoulders. She seemed disappointed, but it mattered little to him whether he had failed at pleasing her or if it was something else. He had warned her after all.

Gathering his belongings and his weapon he walked over to Samuel and untied him from the tree, placing the waterskin and the bowl in the bags on the horse's rump. He did a quick check over of the horse, tightening the saddle straps slightly before moving to locate his boots.

Emilia's eyes stared at the sky above her. Her dark hair were floating slowly around her and half her body was above the surface. The surrounding woods were preventing the sun light to reach the clearing yet but she knew by her body that the night was over.

She sat, her movements were slow and unsure. During the day, there surely was nothing that the ranger would fear from her. She finished cleaning herself then stood up and dried her body as much as she could. She winced as she felt her rib. That would be a bother for a while but she would do with it.

The looked around for her clothes and found them...at Leon's feet. Strangely she hesitated. He was already fully dressed but for his boots...and still extremely attractive with his brown hair some of it sticking to his face from the sweat of their encounter. His scent had not changed.

She growled at herself and headed directly in the direction of the human.

Leon looked at Emilia before bending and lifting her clothes from the ground and held them out to her. As she approached he leaned forward, his voice slightly softer as he said to her, "be ready," he let go of her clothes before walking to his boots and put them on, "and remember what I said," once his boots were on he walked over and got into the saddle on the back of his horse, "if I can't save you, I won't," he turned Samuel around and nudged his horse towards the city.

Kageko woke up as the sunlight streamed into her room. As usual, she wasted no time in getting ready for the day, following her usual routine. Even with a day like today, it would be best for her to follow a pattern that she was used to. As usual, she washed up, dressed up, and ate breakfast. Instead of going out as she usually did, though, she equipped herself as if she was going out on a dangerous errand or maybe a training spree. Although, there was little change to her outer appearance, just a few additional pouches and bags. Most of her weapons were hidden.

Emilia looked at Leon as he picked up her clothes. As he leaned towards her, she wondered what he wanted. The softness in her voice surprised her and she stared at her clothes which fell in her hands.
She remained silent as he spoke to her again and started leaving.

"I know!" she barked at his back when she had found back the usage of her tongue.
"Don't you believe yourself special either!" she snapped as he disappeared behind the trees.

Who did he believe he was?! She hated him! Why had she let him...? Because you wanted to...
Her anger calmed down a bit and she dressed herself quickly before walking across the woods towards her family domain.

Leon walked into the store of the seamstress in the city. She looked up with a polite smile before looking back at the dress she was mending. Quickly though she did a double-take and stared. Her mouth worked the air and he shook his head, "attacked by a werewolf," he offered and the woman sputtered, her eyes going from his bare chest to his eyes.

"I need a new shirt."

"R-right, let's see what will fit you," said the woman walking over with a string and began to measure him, beginning to slowly blush.

Emilia was walking slower than she wanted. She wished she had asked the ranger for a ride but was happy she did not.

As she reached the familiar border of the familial domain, she sighed and moved as quickly as she could towards her room. To her luck, no one was in sight. Her father was extremely weak during the day and hated for anyone to see him in such a state as for the two pups, they were probably snoring in a corner.

Sleeping seemed like an amazing idea and she was soon in her bed, yet sleep did not come immediately as the memories of the ranger came haunted her. She grunted. This man was dangerous for her sanity!

Kageko walked through the city gates, her hood drawn up so as to not be recognized by others and her breathing slightly labored. the girl thought to herself as she walked calmly down the streets. With the extra weight of the weapons, although the amount was negligible for the most part, she had to slow down to a walk multiple times because of her inability to keep going even at a speed that she considered as moderate, For a while, the girl walked through the main streets before inconspicuously turning into side-street after side-street. Each street becoming less and less crowded until she reached an alleyway. As usual, all of her sense were kept alert should anyone have been following her. There was no one, so she was good for now. Walking into yet another alley, the girl approached a slightly run-down building built on the very edges of the city. She entered without knocking, her hood still up. She sensed the energy of the owner of the building somewhere in the back, perhaps preparing some new concoction, whether it was deadly or healing the girl did not care. "Is anyone present?" the girl questioned, more for announcing her presence than for actually asking a question.

Leon walked out of the store with a new tunic and sighed, missing his old one. He got back into his saddle and turned him towards the castle. He paid little attention to what was going on around him. His mind drifting to the night just barely past. But a shock of white caught his eyes and he looked up to see the vampire from last night glaring up at him through jade green eyes.

Emilia at last fell asleep. She was agitated though even in her sleep. Faces of Angeles, Leon, Louis, Kageko, the other members of the Unit, everyone seemed to be mixing up.
She was sweating and shifting in her sleep yet she did not awake for several long hours.
