With a nod, Dan began stirring the concoction that made the pokemon go crazy. He had to admit though, it smelled good. "He's right Freya. You can sit this one out, we can handle it" he reassured her.
Rain was puzzled as to why Purrloin was circling around him. (What are you doing? Is this a game? How do you play?) he says slightly excited. Surely, it was his one true weakness.

Once again, Freya's attention shifted to Dan, her new .... boyfriend? The term made her blush a bit and her heart rate pick up a bit but she smiled. "Alright, if you're sure." The girl turned her attention back to her Pokemon, along with Dan's and Terashi's. Wow, there was quite a collection of Pokemon in the kitchen right now. And ... it looked like they were all getting along. Pichu and Electra seemed to be fast friends, no surprise there, but it was a bit surprising that Purrloin seemed to be getting along so well with Rain, Dan's Oshwatt.
Purrloin circled him a few more times before pausing at the questions that were shot at her. A game? The Pokemon was a little dumbfounded for a moment before a grin only a cat-like Pokemon could wear appeared on her face. (A game? Well ... I suppose you could call it that. I guess it is a game .... of sorts.)

As the berry soup came to a boil, it was set to the side as instructed by Terashi. Grabbing the next batch, Dan started to stir it just the same and watched it carefully so it wouldn't burn. He began to wonder what kind of berries Terashi put in it since it would effect the overall taste.
Nova watched as Purrloin circled his friend, afraid of what was to happen. (I-I don't know about this game Rain. Maybe you should just sit here and wait patiently for the food) he suggested. The otter kept watching the cat circle him, waiting to hear the rules to the game. With a smile, he turned to the Pignite stating (It'll be fine. You should play too- in fact, everyone should play!) Nova frowned, a little unsure of the game Purrloin wanted to play. She seemed like she was up to something and kind of reminded him of his old trainer.

Spheal watched the goings on, his face wrinkled up as he failed in his attempt to ignore the smell of the cooking food. Those blasted humans, always gotta ruin good food.... well... maybe roasted nuts weren't so bad, but the rest of it was just wrong! Some of the other pokemon were playing some kind of game, according to the Oshadewott thing. Feeling a bit left out, he rolled on over and began circling Rain as well. (This is a game? feh, some game this is...)

Samurai set Bagon down and returned to his friend's side, only to be confused by the actions of the other pokemon. (What's going on here?)
(Some sort of game, according to Purrloin,) Sunny replied.
Although Samurai and Sunny didn't take much of an interest in the game, Drillbur found it amusing and decided to join in. Darmanitan and Scrafty, however, found the spectacle laughable, and so they proceeded to do just that - laugh. At everyone.
Meanwhile, Bagon had other plans. (I'M HUNGRYYY!!!) This elicited a sweatdrop from Samurai. (I hope they get done with the food soon, before Bagon starts some kind of riot.) he sighed.
Meanwhile, I was checking on all the prepared food as Dan worked on the last batch. Most of the berries among the various types I used were sweet, and I made sure of that before putting them in. However, some were more dry, but I hoped the soup itself would help with that, not to mention the juices of the berries themselves. The small scraps of meat I put into each batch were a secret - I hoped they would make a nice surprise, particularly having been sweetened by all the berries in the soup. This should make for quite a meal, at least that was my hope.
But then, not all pokemon liked sweet foods, let alone meat, so this probably wouldn't be any kind of grand culinary success or anything.

Blizzard120 Articuno managed to look back behind him a bit. "Arrrrri?" The bird spoke up, trying to check in on Tails. Tails scratched at Articuno's neck, and with enough force to assure him that he was nowhere near sleeping. "I'm okay. I'll get up when we're just above the trees. Promise," he said. A bit of thought. "Hmm...do you like pig, rat, bird or...rat?"

"Hmm...do you like pig, rat, bird or...rat?" Articuno, being the bird of prey, wasn't picky. Though in lands like these, rat was probably the best thing on the menu. Though on that note... Articuno looked down from above, trying to see anything from the sky. Raticate sounded quite nice right about now...

Tails was not a bird of prey, so beyond thirty yards, his aim was terrible. But as they descended, the chill left the air. The danger of losing too much heat was gone, so he radiated a little to melt the frost off his fur. "If you see anything, just dive in, he said. "It's pretty sunny. I got lots of ammo for Energy Ball."

"Arrrr...Arrrri!" The bird called out to Tails. There was one right there. A Raticate roaming through one of the more open areas, heading for the trees. If they didn't act now, they'd lose him. "Arrrriiii!" The bird then spoke to Tails. Tails may find the need to hang on tight because Articuno was going for a dive.

Compared to on the mountain, the air down here was like spring. Tails was ready, grabbing onto Articuno with one arm, pressing himself against his back. With his other hand, he let flow the celestial and fire chi that made up an energy ball. If Articuno got him in close enough, there was no escape for that succulent rat.
Fat and tender in the upper flank, lean in the gut and loin. The best rat to eat, he thought.

The Raticate then stopped in its tracks then looked around. His ears and whiskers twitched. Something wasn't right at all to it. Nothing in front of him, nothing behind him...though above on the speedy descent right for him. "ARRRRRIII!" The bird shouted to Tails. They had the rat's attention.

Five hundred feet. Four hundred feet. The chi congealed about Tails' hand, a globular form because of their movement. He found it hard to stabilize its structure. Three hundred. Two hundred. This unstable wad would have to do. He could aim it, but was not sure how focused the concussion would be.
One hundred feet, and he swung from Articuno's back, grabbed hold of one his his feet and let it loose. His aim was true, and the ball held together. But its explosion was wide, very bright, and even a little hot. If that Raticate was strong enough, Tails wasn't sure it would be knocked out from this alone.

The Raticate fell back and tumbled a bit. Tails uncertainty, however, would be founded as the Raticate found its way back up, dazed a bit from the attack. But it had the idea that it was bad to stay here. He quickly made a 180 and darted for the trees again as fast as it could. Articuno had to loop around a bit so it wouldn't end up making a crash landing with Tails hanging around like he was, but as soon as the bird was once again clear of the ground and knew he was safe, he went back on the pursuit to the rat again, hoping that it could catch up to the rat again.

The way that ball exploded gave Tails an idea. If he could pack it more densely with the same instability...
This he attempted, and Articuno might even have felt the pressure from beneath him. Tails' hand recoiled against the ball, struggling just to hold on at this speed. "C'mon, Articuno," he said. "If you got a quick attack, we need it now!"

Almost blinding for that matter. This would be rather familiar to Tails if he truly knew his surrogate father's repertoire.
