Trigramatic Tails gestured with both hands at the Raticate. "It's okay. Go ahead. I don't know what kind of cuts you like. Or if you're as wild as other birds. No offense, I mean." The Articuno took its share of the game and had it set out on the ground. Placing one toe from its talon to hold the meat down, it bent over and starting to bite and pull on the meat to eat. "Armmmrrririi..." It spoke up with beak full. Apparently this is tasting pretty good.

Tails grinned, sat back and watched Articuno eat. He could wait. There needed to be a pair of eyes to watch for opportunists in the brush. Articuno couldn't maim the meat so badly that Tails couldn't scavenge a healthy meal for himself.

The bird spoke stepping back a bit for Tails to get some.

Once upon a time, Tails would have gnawed at the strips of flesh where Articuno had finished. He still wouldn't have eaten from the offal. Instead, he pushed the carcass to its other side and began to carve with his nails. He tore himself five strips of meat from all about the rat, and contented himself with this.
A kill never went to waste. There would be other Pokemon to come upon this and decide this was a very lucky day.

He looked back up towards the sky for a moment then back at Tails. This has been a nice reprieve. Stuff like this, it realized, is what he was missing out on all this time. It was probably a good thing to take Tails on a flight and just enjoy a day for a change. "Arrrrr..."

As like Articuno, Tails finished his last strip and began to lick his fingers. A nice char always had the best flavor. It was almost better than the meat, he thought. He rose, but did not yet leave. "You know," he said. "There's a little spot of meat on each side of an animal near the legs that's -really- good. I ate one of them. Do you want me to carve the other out for you? It'll just melt in your mouth."

It seemed like between the two of them, there was hardly anything left now.

Tails knelt down once more, flipped the Raticate to the side from which Articuno had feasted. He pulled off a line of muscle from the haunch, webbed with ligaments and tendons. He peeled it apart until there was nothing but golf ball sized, pink chunk of meat. It glistened with juice as he handed it to Articuno.
"Check this out," he said. "Do you have room?"

Tails' grin widened. "It's my favorite part. Pokemon like Miltank have it, too. It's called the...filay minyon or something like that? I dunno. But you -gotta- have Blizz get you some of that."

But you -gotta- have Blizz get you some of that." Articuno thought for a moment. He heard of such a dish before...thing of it, he also recalled one other detail that Tails is apparently missing. The person in question that Tails is talking about prefers his food generally cooked and not kicking, further more, not freshly caught straight out of the wild, like the now-eaten Raticate. "Arrrrriiiii..." The bird replied. It wasn't sure how successful it would be in that task.

Tails could hear the doubt. He nodded. "Don't worry. Miltank is a domesticated meat source. You can buy the meat from stores. That fillet...mignon thing is just pretty expensive. I think it's thirty dollars for an eight ounce piece."

For a slab of meat, as far as what the bird knew about typical human standards, that's quite a lot for a mere eight ounces. The bird stood back up then looked down at Tails, stretching its wings back out. "Arrrrri?" The bird spoke. It was wondering if Tails was wanting to go.

Tails recognized the gesture. He rose, and went to stand aside Articuno. "I think we've been gone long enough. Blizz might be worrying," he said. "And sooner or later there's gonna be Pokemon fighting over our kill."

The bird then sat back down, to get low the enough so Tails can climb right back on to get the flight out of here, then looked back, waiting on the fox boy.
