Her attempt failed her at every level. Not only was she dismissed, she was pushed off. However, in the winter where the land was coated with a layer of snow, the boathouse was no exception. The slippery stone beneath her feet and the low traction between her shoes and the ground, in addition to the loss of balance due to Sunny's shove, Autumn fell backward. She slipped and fell onto the icy surface of the lake.
She stayed on her butt for awhile, her brain barely registering what had just happened. A crack. Something cracked beneath her. She gasped, and right then and there, the thin ice beneath her gave way, sending her plunging into icy cold water. Immediately, her muscles started to tense, her body losing more heat than her metabolism could provide. She screamed, helplessly splashing around, barely keeping her heart above water.

Autumns random splashing resulted in somehow finding her way to a solid chunk of ice. Her muscles were tired, tense, and couldn't provide enough strength to haul her onto the block. So using her fingers, she clung onto the block, helping her keep her heart above the freezing water. It hurt... it hurt so much. "Don't come any closer!" Autumn exclaimed, watching her brother run towards her. "Don't..."

It was a chilly evening, but her thick hair kept her head warm. All she had to worry about was her hands. The air was thin and cold and dry, yet here she was, walking the grounds like it was a summer day. Suddenly, there was a shout, a cry for help, which sent Akira running towards the voice. When she arrived at the Boathouse, she found a young Gryffindor frantically staring at an even younger Hufflepuff. "Oh my- Don't worry! I'm coming!" she called to the girl as she kicked off her shoes and quickly stepped down from the dock. Her bare feet touched the icy surface of the lake and a shiver ran up her spine. But, she couldn't do this job in heels, now could she? Holding her arms out for balance, Akira slowly made her way over to the hole where the girl had fallen through. Well, she tried at least. About half way there, she slid, landing right on her rear, and the ice broke beneath her. She plummeted into the freezing waters, a nearly silent squeak escaping her as the water consumed her. If she wasn't cold before, she sure was now. Blinking her eyes under the lake water, she found the girl, and slowly began to swim to her, keeping one hand above her on the ice so she did not lose her way and start to sink. Finally, the girl was in reach, and Akira wrapped her arm around her, bringing the child to her and holding her tightly. Glancing up towards the ice covering the water's surface, her free hand pounded on it, trying to break it and set them both free. However, she had not the strength, for the last few bubbles of air spilled out of her mouth, and she began to sink down into the depths of the dark lake. Her eyes closed, and the world became dark. Who would save them now? ••.•´¯`•.•• ••.•´¯`•.••.•´¯`•.•• ••.•´¯`•.••● They might be bigger, but we’re faster and never scared ●

Faster than humanly possible, a grey streak made its way onto the Ice. Jason of course had been in the forest with Remy, as usual whenever they transformed. However, a very human cry sounded on the night, a plea for help. He'd given Remy a stern look before bolting off, his feet effortlessly gliding across the ice as he ran. It wasn't until he got to the area near the boathouse that he realized what happened. Someone had fallen in. Bloody hell. He counted two holes in the ice, however. Growling low in his throat, he bounded for the closest hole and dove his head in.
The cold felt like needles in his skin, but thankfully, the fur on his body insulated him from the worst of it. He opened his eyes and looked around, his body bumping along the ice when he found what he had come after. Damn, a woman and a girl. What the bloody hell were they doing on the ice to begin with? Deciding now wasn't the best time to be asking that bloody question, he wiggled further and clamped down on the woman's shoulder. Making sure he had a strong grip on her clothes, he started tugging her up from the ice.
It wasn't until the two females were up and off the ice that Jason finally collapsed, shivering violently. A bloody stupid move on his part. He suspected the entire event with the family must have softened him. Giving one tired glance around, he crawled over to the two and curled around them, hoping that the extra heat he had would keep the two alive for people to help.

Autumn was shivering so bad, she thought she would die. She could barely feel being pulled underwater, and she didn't notice getting out of it either. Being in the cold water for so long, Autumn already lost the ability to move around freely, and was pretty sure she would die at any second. Only the warm-ish fur that hugged Autumn gave her slight comfort, that she hadn't lost all of her senses yet. Her vision blurred as her body shivered uncontrollably, and lost consciousness.

Everything about her was frozen, cold like the water that was swallowing her and this helpless student whole. Until suddenly, there was noise, splashing and kicking and grunting. And she felt something, a bite to her shoulder as someone, or something, pulled her upwards towards the surface. She gripped the girl as tightly as she could, refusing to release her to a dark, cold, watery death. Then, the water was gone, and she was on the ice, coughing and hacking up bits of the lake. She felt something else: warmth. Just the tiniest bit of it, but it was there. Her nose picked up the scent of soaked fur, and when her cyan eyes fluttered open, they set themselves upon a massive wolf encircling herself and the girl. For a moment, she was speechless, until the girl went limp in her arms. "You up there. Your name is Sun, correct? Please, come get this girl. We need to get her to the Hospital Wing, and fast." she called out, her voice a harsh whisper that broke in her throat. Still holding the girl, Akira carefully pushed herself off the ice, making small steps until she reached the dock, where she lifted the unconscious girl up and set her down for the boy to take over the duty of carrying her. The professor glanced back at the wolf, the creature that had saved not only her life, but the life of the girl. It was shivering, nearly frozen, with clumps of it's fur quickly freezing together. Even from here, she could tell that it's breathing was growing sharp and quick. She just couldn't leave him here to die. Returning to the animal, Akira lifted it from the ice in a sudden burst of adrenaline. With this burst, her shoulder stung, but it was hardly noticeable due to her body being nearly frozen as well. Once atop the dock, Akira looked to the boy, Sun. "Come. We must hurry if we are to save them." she said. The thought of her own safety never even crossed her mind. ••.•´¯`•.•• ••.•´¯`•.••.•´¯`•.•• ••.•´¯`•.••● They might be bigger, but we’re faster and never scared ●

Sun watched as a wolf jumped in and saved the two girls. But he was panicking, since all three looked as if they were about to die. He didn't do anything, and couldn't offer any help, so he simply stood on the platform and trembled, either from the cold or shock. The Gryffindor nodded, picking up Autumn and enveloping her with his warmth, trying to keep her from freezing to death. Even out of the water, his sister felt like a block of ice, and was shivering uncontrollably. He hugged her. I'm sorry. I'm so, so, so sorry. He never wanted to hurt her, much less kill her. He did not dare ask for forgiveness, because he knew Autumn may never do so. She was worried about him, and yet, he returned the favor by pushing her away and into the icy waters. It was all his fault.
"Yes," Sun said in response to the woman who almost died as well. Because of his carelessness, two others were hurt as well. With Autumn safely in his arms, Sun ran towards the hospital wing.

Her boat was the first to slide into the boat house. She stepped out on to the docks and proceeded to help and unsteady students out of the boats. Moving over to the bottom of the stairs out to the courtyard."Alright listen up, please line up here and talk if you wish. Soon we will move to the castle for your sorting." She instructed checking the time. Sorting was almost there and she was excited to start another year.
