Rose walked through the Quad and scanned the area. She could barely believe that she had been at Hogwarts for three years now. It all went by in a blur and then here she was. She had barely talked to Ellie with the two of them being sorted into different houses. It had been rough. It wasn't that she didn't like Hogwarts because she did, she really did but...she didn't really know. Just something felt off and this place made her miss her dad. Rose sighed and flopped on the hard ground just staring off into space.

Caitlin only stopped running when she arrived at an empty place. She threw herself onto the ground and pulled her knees to her chest, resting her chin upon them. The second time this year she had been cheated on. Was Sam even really worth it? She bit her lip, hugging her knees closer to her chest. Cait closed her eyes, willing herself not to cry, but in the end, she did. Slowly at first then it became a river. What did she do?

Dhyl ran around, determined to find the girl. He almost passed out at the Quad, so he decided to go and sit down. He looked over and saw Caitlin... right... there. She was bloody crying! He vowed to pummel Sam to the dirt next time he saw the dolt, but had more important things to do. He sat beside the girl, awkwardly patting her back. "I saw what happened," he said in his quiet voice. He really didn't know what to say, so he more or less tried to be comforting. He felt the same surge of protectiveness about Caitlin as he did for Minn... but with this girl, it was different. It was a different emotion. He looked at her, wondering what her reaction would be.

Caitlin looked up at Dhylan when he spoke to her. "I-it's not the first time he's done it..." She muttered, wiping the tears off her cheeks. Not only was she mad at Sam, but she was jealous he had Remy too. Why couldn't she just curl up into a ball and leave the world behind? That seemed a whole lot easier. She hiccupped softly, tugging her hair again.

Dhyl listened to her words and nodded. She looked ready to cry again, so he pulled her into a hug. While he had her in his arms, he whispered, "Any man worth your tears... will never make you cry." He squeezed the girl lightly, before releasing her to wipe away her tears. He hated seeing the heartbreak in her eyes, and knew he would do anything to stop the pain.

Caitlin wrapped her arms around him. She really needed a hug. She couldn't even tell if Dhylan was right. Her heart had been ripped into two and were given to each of the people she found kissing each other. When Dhyl wiped away her tears, she gave him a sad smile, "Th-thank you..." Cait pulled at her hair, trying to distract her thoughts of what happened. She gulped and closed her eyes, a tear or two running down her cheek.

Dhyl was happy she accepted his hug. When she apologised, he offered a sad look. He softly stroked her hair, looking off into the distance. It was a few minutes before he spoke, still gazing off, "You know, you're better than that bloody git. He isn't good for you..." Dhyl peeked back over to the girl, before he gently tipped her chin up and softly kissed her lips. What he meant was....
He was better for her.

Caitlin blinked at Dhylan as he spoke. She nodded slowly. Then he kissed her. On the lips. What? Her eyes widened, but she closed them. Why was he kissing her? Was there a reason behind his madness? Cait responded awkwardly. After what seemed like a while, too long, she pulled away slowly. Caitlin gave him a look that said "what was that for?" She slumped against his shoulder gently.

Dhyl smiled lightly when Caitlin pulled away, looking into her eyes. Her look asked questions, to which he simply replied in a shrug. He pulled her into his arms, lightly squeezing her around the middle. When she leaned against him, he softly rubbed her back, kissing her lightly on the cheek. "Caitlin.... I-I...." he started, not quite sure how to finish here. His cheeks went a soft pink, making his navy eyes seem darker.

Caitlin blushed when Dhylan tightened his grip on her. She looked at him when he said her name. She went light red when he kissed her cheek. Cait fumbled with her thumbs and remembered what Heather had said. She didn't know why he got so mad at her. She decided not to ask either. She bit her lip softly.

Dhylan blinked, leaving his eyes closed for a few seconds. When he opened them, they were glistening with tears. "Cait... I feel so bloody messed up inside. I'm not ready for this! Ever since Mum died, life has been so hard, you know?" He looked at her, slumped over and mussed. He waited to see if she would reply, then gave up and whispered,

Caitlin curled into a ball, "I hardly ever know what I'm ready for anymore. I watched my dad be murdered, I was threatened, then kidnapped and..and Gracie...Then Sam and Remy. Es ist zu viel zu handhaben und dann küsste mich ... Das ist eine sehr schwere Zeit für mich und ich bin über verwirrt und gestresst. Ich habe nicht zu quidditch oder Klasse auch ... weg Wahrscheinlich andernfalls alle meine Klassen und Darren, er wird bald hier sein." She rambled off in German. Cait closed her eyes.

Dhyl nodded along with the girl's words, sighing at the German. He wasn't fluent by any means, but he picked out a few words. He looked at her, then softly rubbed her cheek. "Caitlin," he started, then blanked on what to say next. He tipped her head back and kissed her again, this time lingering a bit. When he finally pulled away, he grinned. His words had returned. "F^ck Meridith," he said as he went back to kissing Caitlin.

Dhyl smiled along with Caitlin. When she accused him of having told her to shut up, he played offended. "I would never utter such words to a beautiful young lady! What sort of man do you take me to be?" He asked, smiling all the while. He looked into Caitlin's eyes, noting the sunlight's sheen upon them. He stroked her cheek, long, nimble fingers barely brushing over her skin. His eyes shimmered, full of happiness. He hoped that she felt even a fraction of the admiration that he did.
