Kade nodded too. "It'll make me uncomfortable but if it's to protect you then do that please." He said and ate some of his sausage. Good it was cooked through. "Will she be hiding too? Or is she brave enough to deal with his beast?" He asked tiling his head wondering because he figured she'd be brave enough to try it out.

Scarlett heard movement of the sheets but thought it likely that he was just changing positions, tossing and turning. She’d check on him again before she left she decided that was until a finger ran down her spine and she straightened, the only thing that kept her from leaping over the coffee table was that first she recognized that voice and second that her beat was practically purring under the attention of the speaker.
She turned towards him nearly naked and put her hands on her hips, not that she looked all that intimidating. “ Ye know it’s a bad idea to be sneakin’ up on an irritated Lykae.” she said looking up at him, she was gauging his lucidity. For the moment he was all there, but how long would that last. “Twas going to walk down stairs for a bit, gettin’ right lonely up here with ye off in oblivion.” she frowned looking from him to the bed, the maid had again brought fresh sheets, but he’d been asleep.

“S’pose I could change the sheets before yer fever spikes again” she said as she stepped around away from his nude form, oh she’d looked her fill, or she thought she had, she wanted to look some more but she’d sworn not to take advantage of an ill man. Oh damned her and her morals. She thought as she moved over to the bed, clad in only her under garments. The bed was so tempting, but she dared not look at it or him, her eyes glowing blue as she pulled the sweat stained sheets from the bed, then pulled a fresh set from the night stand. With efficient movements she made the bed complete with military corners, then turned down the sheets for him. “ If yer hungry I can order room service for ye. I’ll find me something else where.”

Clara decided she’d try the sausage after the toast and she nibbled at it hungrily. She nodded at his comment about protecting her and then frowned. Was he calling her a coward? It sure seemed like it, she took a deep breath forcing herself not to jump to conclusions, get overly emotional or pissed off. That wouldn’t solve anything, in fact it might make it worse. “ I don’t know, I’d have to ask her I suppose. I can always text her and ask if you’d like me too.” She said ignoring the jab real or imagined.

Kade knew Clara was brave enough but also knew she was only thinking of their baby. "Sure." He said smiling a tiny bit. "I. . . I don't want to hurt our baby so I wouldn't let you anyway." He said smiling a bit and ate his food. "I know you could handle it I'm just worried your friend won't. She strikes me as. . . special. . ." He said smirking a bit.

Clara nodded “ I’ll text her after we finish eating…I know you don’t. Without knowing how your beast will react to me not being Lykae, and then me being pregnant, it’d be a large risk to take.” She said finishing the toast and testing a piece of sausage. She frowned but ate it. Ugh pregnancy foods, she didn’t even want to think what would be next. “ I’m sure Sonja will be fine, when she’s ready” she said, then moved back to her more appealing omelet.

Sonja smiled and snuggled him. She'd been gaining muscle from the amount of blood he was letting her have. She blushed a little thinking about it. She loved how he scented her all the time. She really was thinking about staying around for the full moon and seeing what it was all about. And she liked how he didn't like her leaving the bed for any reason. But she was getting a bit antsy about staying still. Yet every time she started to feel stagnant he'd stroke her desire. Like he could read her mind.

"Do you like this place?" She asked wondering why he hadn't gone snooping about her mansion while she slept. "I picked it cause it's lovely and doesn't get a lot of sun." She explained tracing a tattoo of his.

"Well I'm not off in Oblivion now am I?" He countered crossing his arms while watching her, only barely dressed, make the bed. Just seeing her like that had him growling and the thunder outside rumble closer. Already it was sprinkling outside from the clouds growing overhead. How much convincing on his part would it take to get her to not get dressed and instead take off what she had on so that he could show her just how much he appreciated her care and attention. Sure he could do things the normal way and buy her things but he could do that any time he wanted. Even if he did get sick from sleeping with her it would be totally worth it.

"Anyway I'm not sick anymore. If you don't believe me" Adrien said while sauntering right up to her before lowering himself enough so that he could press his forehead right up against hers. "See for yourself just how well I am. Besides I'm more then happy to stay in this room and make up the last few days to you. Maybe go see some of the sights later . . . Much later in the day."

Kade nodded a bit. "Yeah." He said around a mouthful of sausage meat. "No one will tell me so I think the safe bet is for Sonja to get you somewhere away from me." He said eating some more food. "Once the full moon is over we can figure out what to do afterward." He said. "A place for us to call home, baby stuff and all those things." He smiled a bit thinking of somewhere safe close to the sea for her. "And, after breakfast we hit the beach."

Scarlett tilted her head as she ran a hand over the sheets smoothing them “ Nae, not right now, but ye’ve been in and out fer days now” She said scenting the air she could still smell the poison, the sickness, but it wasn’t as volatile, nor nauseating as it had been. The rumble of thunder had her tilting her head, to listen, being in the penthouse suite nearly had them in the sky. The storm was almost be around them. “ That’s ye doin’ that isn’t it” She said closing her eyes to listen only to open them to find his forehead pressed against hers.

Her nostrils flared as she scented him and she gently pushed away from him “ If yer nae sick ye still smell of poison and sweat. They’ll be nae makin’ it up to me in anyway, until ye clean yerself up. There be a choice of bath or shower, seems ye be preferring the shower usually” She said motioning towards the bathroom. Perhaps he was well, but at this point she wasn’t sure. The shower would help him regardless though, so she still advised it. Besides she could take a quick walk downstairs while he showered.


She waited until he was in the bathroom then hurriedly dressed. She wouldn’t have to overly long, before he emerged from the shower. She dressed and put on her boots then made her way out of the room quietly. She took the elevator key with her that she’d been given and made her way down to the first floor. The gambling casino was full of course, but she paid the people no mind as she took a deep breath and moved into the gift shop. It sold oddities and the usual souvenirs. She moved to the section with magazines and selected one and tucked it under her arm, then looked at the stuffed animals, admiring a large teddy bear before moving on to the candy and snacks.

She selected several candies including a lollipop or two, a couple of sodas, and then eyed the variety of novelties that had her giggling. She moved to the counter ignoring the just married gear and pulling the bit of cash she had from the pocket of her jeans. She paid and then walked out of the gift shop, only to be met by a very well dressed man, human, carrying the teddy bear she’d been looking at. The man was a smooth talker and she soon realized that he was the owner of the hotel, and he appeared to be interested in a little more than just good public relations. She was polite and kind, eventually he handed over the teddy bear which she happily cuddled then bounded off towards the elevator. Small as she was the bear was obviously an awkward carry but she toted it back to the room with only a few hang ups.

She entered back into the room her spoils in hand and moved over to the corner of the room and set the bear down, it smelt of lavender and she grinned softly as she decided to make herself comfortable. Seating herself in the bear’s lap, and retrieving her magazine and one of the large Lollipops from the bag and unwrapping it. By time Adrien emerged she was settled in, contentedly licking the length of the lollipop and flipping through the magazine.

Clara gave quiet nod of agreement as she continued her breakfast. When she finished she stood carrying her plate to the sink and rinsed it out then moved to place all the dishes into the dishwasher. “ yes all of those are still a concern, but we have a little bit of time left. She’d already figured up her due date, if it was correct or at least ball park they’d have time to get everything settled outside of the main winter season. Not that winters were overly harsh down here. She finished stacking the dish washer and yawned, stretching. Perhaps she’d take a little while to just lay in the sun. “ let me go text Sonja, while you finish eating.” She said as she turned and headed back to the bed room. She picked up her phone from the night stand and sent a text to Sonja ‘ need you to trace me out of here for the full moon’ She sent then set the phone down as she dug around in the drawers of her dresser to find the bathing suit she wanted.

Sonja smiled softly. "We can explore together. Apparently it has secret tunnels all around the place." She said. She blushed darkly at his hidden meaning. "Yeah. . . um. . . okay. . . And I have a big courtyard for when you want us to be together on the full moon." She blushed darker biting her lip realising what she'd just said.

Sonja sat up and shook her head. "Not this one. I have to take Clara away from Kade. While I may be ready, she isn't, and from what you've been telling me not ever shattering his eardrums will keep him from taking her. And she's expecting so she's terrified the claiming will harm the growing child." She added. "Um. . ." She thought about it. "I think so. I know I have to eat food. . . But I don't really know mama never told me. I could go ask her?" She added smiling a little. She knew exactly what he was talking about. Her phone went off and she reached over him to get to it. She smiled a little and texted her back that she had a place set up for her already and to just text her when she was ready. Then she texted her mother asking her how she was born.

Kade nodded a little and watched her go finishing up his food then put it in the dishwasher and set it up to clean and did the dishes for her. He smiled softly happy that she had a friend to count on when she needed it. Just like he had Daven. Since they met Daven was like a younger brother, they had each other's back.
