In the training room aboard the SS Anne II...

Keiko made sure the door was closed and nobody could enter, then made sure an Immunizer was in effect before pulling a certain Pokeball out of her purse. She remembered me telling her that Rala wouldn't want Keiko to see her like that, but that already happened after she used Shadow Kiss on me back in HQ. Steeling her resolve, she let the infected Gardevoir out of her ball. Rala turned to attack Keiko immediately but was just as quickly held back by Audrey, who had forced her way out of her ball to protect her trainer.

"You can consider this punishment for what you did to him," Keiko spat, staring at the corrupted Rala. Part of her wanted to mock Rala's tendency to call me Master, but she had to remind herself that this wasn't Rala, but a disease controlling her body. "I know he was the one to promise to purify you, but I'm not going to stand by and let you mess with him like that. Audrey, Doubleslap!"

The Audino leaped into the air, assaulting Rala with a series of nos and slaps until the Psychic-type had enough and pushed Audrey back with a Psyshock Audrey, while not unharmed, bushed aside the pain from the damage she took and glared at Rala once she was no longer airborne.

"Rala's sick, but the sickness is making her fight as hard as she can, so be careful, okay?" Keiko asked Audrey gently, realizing that Audrey might not fully understand the situation.

The infected Rala, however, saw this diaolgue as a chance to strike back, and lunged at Audrey with Shadow Blitz.. Audrey caught this just in time to quickly put up a Protect, but the corrupted energy of Shadow Blitz tore at the protective energy of Protect, and the attack broke through, giving Audrey a face full of super-effective pain.

"Audrey!" Keiko shouted, shocked that Rala could tear through an otherwise perfectly defensive move. She then hastily recalled Audrey before she could tell if the Audino passed out or not and let Natalia out of her ball. "Can you help me purify Rala?" Keiko asked her. Natalia responded by flooding the room with Ghost-type energy, pushing the corrupted Gardevoir back with Ominous Wind.

The infected Rala got to feel electricity coursing through her body just like her enemy did, only this time it came with an increased difficulty of movement - paralysis setting in. In a rage, Rala flooded the room with viral energy, striking wildly with Shadow Half. This would weaken Natalia even further, until she was on the brink of fainting. Not wanting her trainer to have to pull a third Pokemon out, however, Natalia steeled her resolve and took to the air, striking at the corrupted Gardevoir's heart with Air Slash. Rala roared in pain as Natalia landed, struggling to remain on her talons. But the Gardevoir would not retaliate, having worn herself out in battle as well. Keiko sighed in relief and recalled Natalia, but before she could say anything, she felt something odd. The vile Shadow energy consuming Rala had started to weaken. "You're so close to being purified," Keiko sighed, looking down at the worn-out Rala. The infected Gardevoir looked up at her trainer's lover with a weak gaze, and stretched her arms out, as if seeking forgiveness.

But all she received in return was a furry fist to the face.

"I'M NOT FALLING FOR THAT!" Keiko snarled, her Frustration flaring up. She felt the desire to punch Rala again, but forcibly calmed herself before she lost control of her body to her anger. She then recalled Rala, and walked out of the training room, focused more on calming herself down than leaving the room the way she found it.

((Before the Pokemon World Championship tournament began}}


Wren entered the training room with Nutmeg, his Steenee, at his side. He knew she was going to need a bit more training before she was ready to evolve again and this would be a good opportunity for it.

Hearing the usual explanation from GRAY, he would pull out his SNAG and begin to set up a training scenario for his young Grass-type.

Once everything was set up, he watched as the room shimmered and changed into a series of stone towers with targets atop them. "You're going to training using Stomp and Bounce today, mainly. But these targets are so you can practice some of your other moves as well." He instructed. "Start off using Bounce and then, once you're in the air, use Stomp to hit one of the targets. After that, you're to use Bounce to jump from one target to another and use Stomp to land each time."

Nutmeg nodded and did as instructed, wrapping herself in Flying energy before launching herself into the air with a gust of wind beneath her sepals. Once in the air, she'd take aim and begin her descent with a powerful downward kick, her tiny foot glowing bright white from the energy contained within. Upon crashing into the target, Wren wouldn’t wait for the dust to settle before calling out to her. “Again!”

Nutmeg would nod and pirouette in place, rainbow-hued leaves launching from her sepals as she spun in all directions. After a moment or two of the “petals” hanging in the air, they began to move in tandem. Nutmeg continued to spin and dance in place as the leaves soared through the air like an immense flock of Starly razing the sky.

Wren watched as the attack was executed, multiple targets struck by the leaves. They were hitting many but they were inaccurate. She was definitely better as a physical attacker from the look of those destroyed targets she’d hit with her first two moves. “Use Stomp again!” The trainer finally called to his partner. Nutmeg nodded and leaped from her current space, allowing her Magical Leaf to drop harmlessly to the floor as she raced toward another target and slammed her minuscule foot into it with incredible precision.

“Now use Bounce again.” The smallish Grass-type would nod and leap into the air, coming crashing down on another target with very little margin of error.

“Zen Headbut!” Wren called out, wondering if it was perhaps only her feet that were so accurate. It would seem that no, it wasn’t. She Nutmeg threw herself through the air, head first, and slammed her blue-glowing sepals into a target on a wall, destroying it with ease and accuracy only a moment after the call had been made.

“Now use Aromatherapy!” He ordered, watching as he dance changed up slightly and a lovely scent filled the area, a soft lavender wave of scents drifting outward from the “stem” sprouting from Nutmeg’s sepals as she danced.

“Very good! Try something different now Reflect! Then Light Screen!” He’d call out. He knew she could use both but wasn’t certain if she actually knew both. This would be a good chance for her to show him. He would watch as a wall of light appeared in front of the Steenee and hardened into a solid wall of shimmering light but when she tried the second time, so mirror-like structure appeared. “So you can use Light Screen but not Reflect… Good to know!” He’d inform the Grass-type. “Don’t be upset! You can’t be expected to know everything, after all!”

Nutmeg would nod but she still wasn’t happy about that. It meant she’d failed at something.. Wren wouldn’t be happy about that, no matter what he told her. Or maybe… It was that she wouldn’t forgive herself for failing?

She wouldn't be given much time to consider, however, before Wren was calling back to her to return to using Stomp as instructed. From there on, it seemed Stomp and Bounce were the attacks he had her sticking with. She'd Stomp a target on the floor, then Bounce to another on the ceiling or a wall and Stomp one near there before falling back toward the ground and Stomping yet another target below her. She could feel the power in her legs growing with every attack so it was clear the training was working but something else was there. A chilly tingle? What in the world was that?

Katie threw the last round of stones and watched as Crystal dogged every single one with ease. "well done Crystal you seam to have gotten much faster I think its time we stop for now and see if we can find a mission to do. im sure there has to be something easy we can do to start with." She said as she grabbed her ball and placed it on the ground at her feet. The Ralts walked over to her and tapped the button in the middle of the ball and was sucked inside. Katie picked up the ball and held it up rubbing I before putting it gently in her bag then shut off the simulation and headed out of the room to find a mission she could handle.
