Orielle I'm going backpacking around Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and China for 2-3 months.. I've been planning this trip since forever, so I can hardly believe it's actually happening in just one month. mrgreen It's not for school or work or anything, I'm just flying down there by myself, and then have to find some way of getting from Bangkok to Beijing, stopping at all the pretty places of south east/east Asia along the way. Where are you from, Lothrig? Just curious... whee Wow, amazing. surprised I wish I could do something like that. whee Unfortunately I lack the money, and, yeah, the money, mainly. razz I'm from Argentina. sweatdrop

Thanks, Emily! smile
Well, I had to take a year off school to work and save up enough money. But I think it's going to be worth it.. Argentina, cool.. A friend and I are planning to go to South America some time this summer or the two next. We haven't decided on where yet though. whee Anywhere you'd recommend?

Going to Argentina would have been awesome. Thanks for the offer, I'll take you up on that if that's where we decide to go.. smile
My best friend and I are trying to make it into a tradition to always go somewhere cool for a couple of weeks once a year. So far we have been to Turkey and Tunisia, and both were great.
You've never been out of Argentina? I can't imagine just staying in one place all the time, I probably travel out of the country at least 3 times a year (excluding Sweden, which I have been to a gazillion times). Then again, Norway is tiny, you can't go very far without crossing any borders.. xp
I'm babysitting my sister, and I'm bored, so please... If anyone feel like talking to me, talk! ninja

I went to Poland a couple of years ago, and it was unbelievable. I didn't get to see much of the nature though.. But the salt mines in Krakow were one of the most incredible constructions I've ever seen, and I will never forget the nazi death camps.
I've never been to Ireland, but a friend of mine just moved there. So maybe I'll visit her some time.
Where are you from, Emily?
Edit: Oook, I'm going home now.. Have a nice weekend!

Sure thing. Can't offer a place to stay, but at least I can translate if you can stand my obvious accent. ;P
Argentina is rather hot (particularly now we're in summer razz ) but the sourthern end is colder. places like Bariloche (a great recreational spot for winter to go skiing and such) are usually cold even in summer. Buenos Aires (where I live) Sucks because it's hot razz *misses the snow*
I've never been out of my country, nope, I've hardly been out of my province, actually, except when younger, that I used to live in the south (Santa Cruz and Chubut, actually) and shortly ago that I went to Rio Negro for a week.
I wish I could travel nearly as much as you. Heck, travelling just once to see a friend abroad would be a blast. crying I can't even go to Chile nor Brazil, and that's right next door. XD;;; How do you manage? sweatdrop

Skadi of the Snow surprised Oh my goodness. xp I could have sworn I gave you this ages ago, but I guess I forgot...it's not complete, but I sort of fell off the art bandwagon. Sorry about the wait. eek Thank you!! It's adorable, and I absolutely love the pose.. *clicksaves* I've been living in a blizzard for the last two months, so I don't mind hot.. xp I'm really lucky that I get to travel as much as I do, my family has always taken us places. And now I do everything I can to save up money to go travelling on my own as often as possible. The closest I've ever been to South America is Key West though.. XP And thanks, TPM! whee

I'll probably print out a bunch of avatars and OCs before I go, so that I can sketch them when I have some time to spare. And I will have just that. In order to get from Oslo to Bangkok I'll have to fly for about 8 hours, plus a 6 hour stop-over in Wien. So if I somehow manage to keep them safe from sand and water you can expect a major art dump some time in the middle of May.. xp

Yeah, I think Poland is one of the most beautiful (and historical) places ever. If you ever get the chance I really recommend that you go to the forests. Very good mushrooms there. My mother used to ride her bike as a kid to a death camp near her house and play there when the war was over. Ireland is really breathtaking too, I'm going when I'm out of college. I was born in the United States, but my family if pure polish on mother's side, and a strong mix of german and irish on my fathers. I get the best of three worlds, which I am so lucky to have.
