It was true that normally Samuel had an endless supply of questions. For now, he was content with all the answers he had been given. This wasn't to say he would not bombard Micha with more questions later. Just that for now he wanted to allow them both some time to eat their meals in peace. Samuel went on to eat everything on his plate and was incredibly full. Eventually he would walk it off, but for now he was feeling quite content. He sat back in his chair waiting for Micha to finish his own meal. He was in no rush so he didn't complain. Instead, he stared out the window at the steadily falling rain. Hopefully his hoodie had somewhat dried while they had been in there, but he was a bit doubtful. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed the male pick up the bill. He turned his head to see him rise from his seat and come around the table. He smile up at the male as he spoke and stole a kiss. Samuel kissed him back and sighed softly. "Take your time." he replied.
As agreed upon, Samuel did nothing in the way of helping pay for the meal. It felt rather strange to not pull out his wallet. Not even his share of the tip was left on the table. He watched the rain a little longer before Micha came back to the table. "Just a second." he said. Rising from his own chair, Samuel took his hoodie off the back of it and pushed his arms through the sleeves. It was still damp. But he wouldn't complain. It beat going out with a newspaper over his head like in the movies. Once he was ready, he motioned Micha forward. Together they walked through the cafe and back out into the rain. "Alright, I admit I have absolutely no idea where there's a station. So, lead the way." he said, motioning the male forward once more.

For the time being, Jepsen was welcome to stay as long as he wanted. He liked having his company. Even if he was a little judgey. Then again, maybe some judgement was what he needed. A fresh pair of eyes to look at the hot mess he called a relationship with Liam. He couldn't exactly say that everything Jepsen pointed out was wrong. Liam hadn't been the kindest to him these past few days. And their relationship was a bit shaky for a while now. Maybe he was trying to make it fool himself into believing it was more than what was there because he was in fact, lonely. Liam had been nice at times, but he wasn't the one by any means. As much as he tried to romanticize what they had, Jepsen just wasn't buying it. Maybe he was right not to.
Having sex with Jepsen did more than just make him feel good. It made him feel sexy and wanted. Unlike Liam, who barely touched him and never really tried to further their relationship. While he knew sex was not the main focus of a relationship, he felt like he had waited long enough and still Liam did nothing. The most insulting thing of all was how easily he went to sleep with another man right in front of him. As if he didn't feel shitty and unwanted enough. The thought alone made him want to cry. But he didn't want to upset Jepsen. He didn't want to give him the wrong idea, like he had done something wrong. After swallowing the muffin he had been nibbling on, he set the rest aside and glanced towards the male. "So did you want to do anything else today? I'm not keeping you from any plans, am I?" he asked curiously. He didn't mind if Jepsen chose to stick around. It would give him another change to place twenty questions.

After paying the bill, he returned to the table. Micha was rather surprised that Samuel hadn’t taken out his wallet and let him pay. He knew it was hard for Samuel, but he was only paying because he wanted to, not because he felt obligated to. Micha didn’t want Samuel to always pay for his meals. It was only fair he would be allowed to pay for things every once in a while.
Once Samuel put his hoodie back on, Micha followed him out of the cafe and outside. It was still raining outside once they stepped out into it. He didn’t mind, but knew Samuel did. Micha laughed softly knowing Samuel didn’t know where to go especially to get to a subway. After all half the time they drove around in Samuel’s car if they wanted to go somewhere.
Taking Samuel’s hand, he laced their fingers together. ”Come on, let’s go.” Micha spoke smiling at Samuel as he started down the road. He walked a few blocks before reaching the subway tunnel steps. Micha released Samuel’s hand, as he walked down them, leading the way down out of the ran. Reaching the turnstile, he paid for the both of them not minding, as he had his own card. Once past the turnstile, he continued through the station, leading the way toward the subway. It would be a few minutes before their subway was here to lead them toward Time Square.

Samuel was trying his best to respect the males wishes. He knew just how much it irked him to have Samuel pay for everything. So much so it seemed to be a constant battle during their last relationship of who could get to the check first. This time around he was going to have to learn to just accept it. Micha was a grown man who could pay for his own stuff. Including average meals. He doubted Micha would allow him to pick the drinks during their next night out.
When everything was set and ready, he stood from his chair. He soon followed Micha outside and looked to him for guidance. He rolled his eyes as Micha laughed at him for not knowing where to go. It couldn't be helped. Samuel hadn't taken the subway in years. Even before he could drive he barely used it. Most days his parents would hire a car or one of his brothers would take him wherever he needed to go. It was just another perk of growing up rich.
Samuel smiled as Micha took his hand and laced their fingers together. Holding on to the male, he followed him down the street. They walked a few blocks before coming upon a tunnel. He barely had time to read which station they were entering before noticing the man had released his hand. Samuel quickly hurried after him as he walked down the stairs and out of the rain. The subway was darker and grosser than he remembered. He edged closer to Micha, watching as he used a card to pay for them both. He had heard of metrocard's but had never used one personally. He was going to have to ask him later how they worked. Once they were passed the turnstile, Samuel followed the man through the station and towards the subway. He glanced up at the schedule and saw that they had some time before their train arrived. He stood beside him as they waited.

Indeed Micha was a grown man who could pay for their meals at times. However when it came to large expenses such as last night, that was all on Samuel. He was not going to pay for needless drinks. Samuel was more than welcome to pay for his own expensive wine, if he wanted to drink it. Micha knew that Samuel had money, which didn’t bothered him. It was more that he didn’t want to be taken care of in such a manner. He didn’t need Samuel to buy him expensive things either, even though he knew he liked doing such things.
Standing below the lower level of the city in the subway station, Micha glanced toward Samuel. ”The subway should be here soon.” He spoke, as he glanced in the tunnel to see. Micha was impatient when it came to waiting. He didn’t like to wait. Standing there, he soon saw lights in the tunnel. Micha smiled, glad to see the subway was on time.
As it pulled into the tunnel stopping, the doors opened, allowing a group of people to get off. Micha grabbed Samuel’s hand, as he started toward the doors. ”Come on, lets get in before the doors close.” He spoke pulling Samuel along not wanting him to get left behind.
Once inside the subway, he walked toward a bench. Micha took a seat as he released Samuel’s hand. He sat back in the seat, as the subway doors closed and soon took off again heading toward Manhattan.

Of course, when it came to his fancy drinks he did not mind paying. He knew that Micha didn't have that kind of money. Nor would he see the necessity of ordering such drinks. Lucky for Micha, he had no plans of ordering something like that again anytime soon. It was going to take time, but he would eventually get used to allowing Micha to pick up the bill every so often. He didn't want to upset Micha by being overbearing and disrespecting his wishes.
Following Micha down into the subway, they made their way towards the correct line. He stuck close to the man so he did not get lost in the crowd. He nodded quietly as the man informed him that the train would soon be arriving. He looked around as others crowded toward the line as well. Within minutes, Samuel saw the lights of the train rounding the corner.
Soon, the train pulled into the tunnel. The brakes squeaked as it came to a stop. Samuel inched nearer to Micha as the doors hissed open and people began to file out. He looked down at the male as he took hold of his hands. He allowed Micha to lead him off the platform and on to the train. He glanced around a bit, taking not of the other passengers. It wasn't long though before Micha was tugging him again towards an empty seat. Samuel sat down beside the male as the doors closed and the train began to move. "So how long until we reach Manhattan?" he asked curiously.

Samuel couldn't help acting a bit like a kid as he sat there. It had been years since he last took the subway. He knew that compared to driving his own car it would take some time before reaching Manhattan. Though he had to wonder would it really be that much of a time difference. After all, the weather was pretty crappy today and he was sure the traffic would be much the same. He turned towards Micha with a curious look. Micha merely smiled back at him as he answered his question. He nodded quietly. "So add in the traffic, road work, and traffic lights, it's pretty much the same time if we drove." he replied. While he did prefer driving, Samuel was glad he didn't have to today. He didn't especially like driving in inclement weather. Sure walking wasn't much better. But he planned on buying them an umbrella later. As the train started to move, Samuel settled beside Micha. Like it or not, he wasn't going anywhere now.

He didn't really care if he came off as a curious child. It had been at least ten years, if not more since he last took the subway. For him, this was all so shiny and new...with a mild scent of urine and hobo. Despite the weather, Samuel was looking forward to hanging out with Micha. They didn't get out enough the last time they were together and that was something he wanted to change this time around. That didn't mean they had to go out everyday. But it wouldn't kill them either to go eat once in awhile, do some shopping together, or just go take in some of the sights. Not every date had to be some big thing. The point of the matter was that he just wanted to spend time with him.
As he settled in to his seat, Samuel heard the male speaking beside him. He nodded quietly but did not feel the need to say anything more. He soon felt Micha relax beside him. Samuel did the same as he knew it would be awhile before they reached their station. Indeed, there was no reason to be in a hurry today. The rain would still be there, as would Times Square.
