If you cut it, don't cut too much and maybe get some layers thrown in there or something to spice it up.

Layers don't necessarily mean emo. If he straightened his hair, then it would be more of an emo style.

My hair grows like a ********' weed. I got it cut above my shoulders about three months ago, and just in the past couple of weeks it seems to have grown an inch. Now it's about 4 inches longer than it was. neutral

My hair doesn't grow much at all D;
I can go a few months without getting an actual cut, and I take pretty good care of it so my split ends are usually minimal.

She was pretty hot. xd XDD Layers is a hair style when the hair growing underneath is longer than the hair growing on top. It gives it a very textured look when done correctly, and also gives more volume to the hair. It can give a wispy, feathery, or choppy look to hair.  Most times, layered hair is straightened to give more definition to the layers themselves.

It seems like it would be a lot of work to maintain the layers and keep them at their proper lengths.

Meta_Fish It seems like it would be a lot of work to maintain the layers and keep them at their proper lengths. Not really. I just use a straightener and use some shampoo and conditioner. Then you can keep track of the layers by yourself, just take some scissors and be careful, you can take more off, but you can't put any back on.
