Yeah he did. Goku had to achieve Super-Sayianess to win because Freeza survived his most powerful attack.

What's retarded is that they always wanna fight their opponent at their best, and then only 1 one 1. Only the villains ever really gang up on anyone.
Hell, if all the Z fighters fought the villain at once, they'd easily cut out like 500 otherwise pointless episodes. That's ultimately what killed it. Every battle got exponentially longer and longer to the point you'd yell, " JUST GET DONE WITH IT ALREADY! scream "

I enjoyed DBZ up until... after Cell. After Cell it just got ridiculous. But like Raditz, Garlic, the Androids, the Red Ribbon army even. Those were cool, but when they were going after Bobbidy and Vegeta didn't even have to go Super Saiyan to defeat that first guy they fought, thats when I knew it was beyond ever being good again/

I wholly enjoyed Dragonball far more, I mean, after Vegeta got beat and ran off, the series lost most of its zing once they started off to Nammek.

For kicks I recently picked up the evolution pack of Clonetroopers, which is a three pack of clones, starting with the AotC trooper and ending with the ANH Sandtrooper. The figure stuck in the middle is some sort of Campaigner Clonetrooper or Clone Commander from RotS, with a black belt spat and pauldron as well as dual pistols. It was a nice collection and they pose well and look cool, especially the Campaigner Clonetrooper. I do have a few complaints, though. The two Clonetroopers have removable helmets that show a jango-esque face underneath. The set comes with an extra Pilot Helmet so you can swap 'em around but the Type 2 Clonetrooper armor helmet doesnt fit completely on the Clone Commander's head. The Pauldron kind of gets in the way and so theres a bit of chin showing when you put it on. Second, the Kama and weapon's belt of the aforementioned trooper was snapped. I discovered this after removal from the package and it annoyed me minorly. I also dont like the silvery color of the weapons (They should b black) but thats a minor gripe at best.

I need something to sketch and study. Pictures of Clonetrooper armor only go so far. A physical representation allows me a better reference.
Besides, the Clone Commander gives me a few interesting ideas.

It seems we're all in agreement that the Dragonball franchise got silly after a while. ._.
Cale: Ever seen those one action figures they have out based on McQuarrie's old sketches and things? I've been thinking of snagging the original of the character that eventually became Luke.

I've been thinking of snagging the original of the character that eventually became Luke. I've got the McQuarrie's Chewbacca. It's hanging on my wall, still in the package. I saw the Luke one in the store the other day. He looks more like George Lucas than Mark Hamill.
God Bless,
May the Force be with you, always...
