Uh. Ok.
I drink and smoke with friends. I have been for years. Since I was 15 or 16 I believe.
At 18 I was able to buy cigarettes, work full time, join the military, play the lottery, get married, apply for a loan, buy a car, get a tattoo, etc. but I wasn't allowed to drink alcohol.
It doesn't make any ******** sense.

I guess. Alcohol can mess up people's growing and stuff, that's why it's so late of an age.

And if the government says it then it MUST be true, right?
Cigarettes are extremely damaging to a person's body, so why isn't that age also raised?
A student can drop out of high school at 16 in most states. Why is that legal?
A person is too young to get married at 18, and most marriages end in divorce anyway, so why isn't that age also raised?

I can drink three years from now, if I follow the rules. But I wonder if we're the slow ones, or if the others are. Isn't there a five year difference in the drinking laws?
