This would prove to be a bad move, Aden bracing himself for the abrasions to come. Mareep wouldn't be able to escape this one so easily. She'd have to hold her ground. But he had an idea. As the dust blew through, small pieces of wool came off the victim...
"Mareep, run towards him as much as you can. Don't worry about your wool, just keep your eyes closed and keep moving until you tackle him!"
It seemed like an odd request at first, having her try and tackle Scizor despite the dust making travel difficult. The point, at least to Aden, wasn't really to try and hit Scizor at all. As she moved closer, those small pieces of wool coming of could serve as another way of slowing him down, if any of it came in contact that was. At best, it was a reckless, crazy idea... but if he learned anything from the mental journey he went through, it was that the crazier ideas might be the best shot at success.

What the hell was going on here? A blind, reckless attack? And here I thought Aden was actually coming around. Something wasn't right about this picture. As Scizor descended back down to confront the Mareep, I watched the sheep make its charge. I waited a few seconds as the Mareep made hard run, then finally... "Scizor! Counter!" The Scizor shifted to a defensive pose, ready to strike. This sheep was going to get hurt.

"Mareep, change of plans! Veer to the right and stop yourself!" Aden called at once, watching her do just that and barely avert contact with Scizor. Bits of her wool came close as a result, if nothing else, on top of the smallish cloud that was in the air from the earlier dash. A crude attempt at best, but he found it best to try everything. "I'm not that reckless, Blizz. Letting her actually come in contact with that Scizor would be suicide, but I can still find other ways to keep it slowed down."

All well and good, but Aden forgets some tricks other birds can learn, which fortunately, Scizor can pull off as well, and Falkner will very much use for that matter. "Alright then, Aden, cope with this then. Scizor! Quick Attack!" "SCIZOR!" The scizor kicked off the ground and darted for the Mareep with blazing speed towards the sheep.

Okay, Aden hadn't thought of that possibility. She wasn't getting out of the way of that... "Mareep, Thundershock!" It was his only remaining option short of switching her out, or at least the only one he could readily see.
Mareep tried to run anyway, firing off a jolt just before being slammed and flying a short distance from the impact.

Mareep tried to run anyway, firing off a jolt just before being slammed and flying a short distance from the impact. The jolt did in fact make Scizor wince a bit after his attack finished. "Sciii." The bug spoke with a shiver. Well, to say the least, that Mareep did some damage, despite the fact that Aden probably didn't succeed in what he was wanting to do. That said, was probably astounding was the fact that the Mareep managed to stay around as long as it did against a highly trained Pokemon. Rather it be because of Aden actually was thinking this through clearly or what have you, that was a huge change compared to how he was before. I looked over towards the Mareep with arms crossed, wondering if that attack put it out of this battle.

"Mareep?"
Aden could hear her panting, watching her look to Scizor, then to him. He could hear a soft voice following, perhaps her trying to speak. It almost sounded like she was pleading "No more".
"Okay. You did really good for your first time, Mareep. Here, you go ahead and rest." He was quick about recalling her, knowing not to push things further by keeping her out. Someone else would have to come in. "Let's keep from where she left off... Raticate, you're up!"
And at once, his Raticate took her place on the field. Admittedly, Aden didn't know what Blizzard had in mind, so he figured to just get someone else out there to be safe.

I knew a couple of moves that a Raticate could have that would really put a rain on Scizor's parade. I wonder if that is what Aden is going for to take Scizor down. I had to keep the pressure up on Aden, because obviously, Jackie and Falkner will be next to relentless on him, and they would better provide the flying type barrage than what I could provide. "Alright then, Aden. Scizor, go skyward." I said. Scizor took flight once again, getting himself ready for the next order from me.

"Lesse if I remember this right... Raticate, Pursuit!" Aden wasn't too keen on letting Scizor get into the air so easily. If he wanted to so bad, it'd be with a rat careening at him for the price. He did have other ideas in mind, but using them so soon could be a bad move on his part.

I watched as the Raticate made harsh run for the Scizor. "So thats how it is? Scizor! Meet it with your Metal Claw!" I shouted. "Sci-ZOR!" Scizor's claws glowed a powerful silver then he came down at the Pursuing Raticate. Lets see which attack would overpower what.

"You know, Blizz, there's another who can play the game you tried on Mareep." Aden spoke up, as the attacks connected. Scizor's quickly overcame Raticate's attempts, but it wasn't over by any means. "Give him your Counter!"
Immediately, Raticate jumped into the air again upon landing and went to strike back at full force.

Immediately, Raticate jumped into the air again upon landing and went to strike back at full force. This was a bit on the unexpected side. He taught his Raticate a Counter attack? Worse still...Scizor got caught, taking the heavy blow. He quickly plummets to the ground and hits the ground hard. "Scizor!" I called out to him. Scizor manages to get back on his feet. "Scizor...Scizor?" "No, no bus." I said to him. "How are you feeling?" I then asked. "Can you keep going?" I know that Raticates at time are hard hitters, but sometimes I forget just exactly how hard. "Scizor." Scizor was ready to keep going it seemed. Seemed a bit on the uneasy side though after an impact like that, but he's still raring to go. "Alright then." I said. Enough trying to imitate Falkner now, lets throw a few curveballs, shall we? "Scizor, Swords Dance!" I shouted. Scizor spun about, focusing his power. This bug was now ready to beat the hell out of something for sure.

"Almost forgot what that move could do... Alright, Raticate, you get yourself ready too. Focus Energy!" Raticate might not have had the same focus in his power, but the deep breath he took was enough to keep him pumped for this fight. "He's not that intimidating, now is he?"
Raticate nodded in agreement, but he wondered what might've prompted such an unusual question in the first place.

I called out. Aden would soon realize why Miles keeps saying that he pities my jaw. With blazing speed, Scizor rushed towards that Raticate with claws glowing bright. Then a flurry of rapid fire punches would be launched upon the rat.

"Quick Attack!" And yet another clash, one Aden was hoping would work a little better. Only, punches were met with repeated tackles. It made sense in context, at least to him. And Raticate had some speed on his side.
