Clint saw the twitch from Tony and braced himself for the yelling. He got exactly what he expected and didn't flinich back as tools went flying. "If someone tried to steal Natasha I wouldn't leave anyone left alive to try it again." Clint replied. He wasn't the least bit remorseful about his statement in that sense. He knew it was true and if anyone would ever try and steal Natasha or his child he would kill whoever dared. "Don't be too hasty Tony, if you die Loki would be devestated." Clint continued.

Tony’s lip curled slightly at Clint’s words. He should have done that. He should have killed every person at that base the moment he had Loki in his arms, but he hadn’t and now they were dealing with this mess. He’d been kind…or perhaps he’d just allowed himself to be distracted. “I don’t plan on dying…..but I will not allow them to so much as lay a finger on Loki.” he responded. Running a hand through his hair, he glanced down the hall. He wanted to go to Loki, to sit in the room and watch over him, but he had to finish this, had to get the mansion safe again. “I don’t care what they say or what their reasoning, Loki is my mate….they cannot have him.”

Clint saw the look in Tony when he had mentioned killing everyone who had threatened to take Natasha. He knew Tony was regretting not having done that. But Clint wasn't sure it would have solved the problem in this case. Tony might have been called the merchant of death but he had never been the one to pull the trigger or push the button when he had built his weapons. He wasn't sure how that man would handle killing people when he didn't absolutely have to and he doubted Loki would have wanted Tony to put himself in that much danger for him. "We're not going to let them either." Clint assured. He watched Tony look off towards the room. "Go on, there is no way anyone will try something with all of us here. You've got JARVIS up, go be with Loki and Fenrir for awhile." Clint urged.

Tony swayed slightly as Clint told him to go. He wanted to, he really did. He needed to be close to them now. It hurt not to be. But he also needed to work, needed to repair whatever had been done to the mansion's security and make it better. Keep this from ever happening again. His jaw clenched once or twice as he tried to figure out what to do. Finally he gave a quick nod and replaced the panel on the wall, watching it seamlessly blend in so people wouldn't even notice it. Leaving his tools, Tony slowly moved toward the bedroom. Slipping past the guarding suit, he paused, unsure what to do or where to go now. He hadn't shared a room with Loki in months...and he honestly wasn't sure he was ready to again. Still, he was tired and more than a little freaked out. Slowly moving around the bed, he carefully sat on the empty side. Sitting up against the headboard, he settled there. Carefully reaching out, he pet Fenrir, watching the pup nuzzle closer to his mother. Then, ever so gently, he pushed the hair from Loki's face, fingers brushing his temple gently. Pulling his hand away, he eventually drifted off, arms crossed and chin resting on his chest.

Clint watched Tony consider his suggestion with hesitation. He had been about to open his moth to try and persuade the man a bit more when Tony was nodding and moving. He watched as Tony closed the panel he had been working on and left. Clint felt smug with himself for helping the two wayward men.

Loki was fast asleep when Tony returned to the room. He didn't wake or even stir as the man stood indecisively in the room and still as the genius made it to the bed. He only gave a soft noise as Fenrir nuzzled closer and his hand in the pups fur tighten for a moment before relaxing. But when Tony brushed hair from his face fingers brushing his skin he turned to the man a soft sigh escaping his lips.

Tony slept soundly for a while, longer than the hour or two he'd been managing recently. But the nightmares inevitably returned. He was so deeply asleep that I took a few minutes for him to rouse himself. But when he did, he startled awake, gasping for breath and just barely biting back a shout. Shivering at the cold sweat he'd broken into, he raised a shaking hand to his face and tried to ground himself again.

Loki slept and got the best rest he had gotten in months. When he hungry but with Fenrir still curled up tightly against him he stayed pyt. It wasn't like he could go anywhere anywway, his chair still gone. He looked around to make sure of that fact and saw tony. He was surprised to see the man but also pleased. He lay there watching tony and was startled when Tony awoke gasping for breath. When the man put a hand to his face loki hesitantly reached out and placed a hand on Tony's leg.

Tony tensed when he felt a touch, blinking at Loki, having not realized that he was awake. Taking deep, slow breathes, he slowly calmed himself. Leaning back against the headboard again, he glanced at Loki. "I didn't mean to wake you...." He mumbled apologetically.

Loki didn't take his hand away when Tony tensed and blinked at him. Red eyes watched with concern as Tony calmed his breathing. *I was already awake.* Loki a mitten gently. *Are you alright?* he asked. He knew Tony had terrible nightmares and that they could devestate the man. He had helped when there wasn't such a big gap between them. He wasn't sure he would be allowed now so he would give what comfort he could.

Tony sighed at the sound of Loki’s voice. Head resting against the headboard he stared out at the dim room. “I’ll be fine.” He said slowly. Once his heart stopped racing, it would be alright. He had grown used to this process by now. Exhaustion and fear was his semi-permanent state of mind. Without Loki around the nightmares never seemed to stop, just like before he’d found Loki on his roof. Looking to Loki slowly, he took him in for a moment before nodding at the night stand. “You should drink some water.”

Loki's concerned look didn't fade when Tony told him that he would be fine. No matter how much Loki knew it was true and that Tony would be fine he still wanted to take the pain away. When Tony looked to him Loki was unsure what he was meant to do. He still had not pulled his hand away and he was relishing in the warmth of Tony's body heat even coming through his clothes. When the man said that he should drink some water he gave a soft smile. *Hard to do with a pup covering half my body.* Loki stated.

Tony couldn’t help the small, half smile that tugged at his lips at the sight of Loki’s smile. He had trouble remembering the last time that smile had been directed at him. “I think I can take care of that.” Tony replied. Reaching out, he carefully pet Fenrir’s head once or twice. When the pup huffed and shifted, Tony carefully lifted the pup and moved him to his lap. Shushing him as he began to stir, Fenrir settled back into sleep a moment later. Tony had gotten rather skilled at dealing with Fenrir and maneuvering around him when the pup decided to attach himself to his hip.

Loki's smile brightened a bit seeing the smile that tugged at Tony's lips. He watched curious when Tony said that he could take care of fenrir. He watched as the man moved Fenrir without fully waking the pup. Loki breathed a breath of relief and sat up reaching for the water. He downed half the water bottle not realizing how thirsty he had been until that moment. When he pulled the bottle away he looked to tony. *Thank you.* Loki thanked.

Tony continued to pet Fenrir as Loki moved. Glancing at the god, he nodded slightly. “It’s not a problem.” He said lightly. Smiling as Fenrir tucked his paws clos to himself, he shook his head. “It’s hard to remember how big he’ll get.” He mumbled. Fenrir was growing steadily, but he was still keeping the proportions of a puppy, all big paws and long legs. It was rather cute, but then Tony would remember that was all because he’d end up being a massive wolf, not a normal sized canine.

He watched Tony smile at the pup when Fenrir shifted but his words made his chest tighten. It had been one of the things he had said in the arguement that had caused him to leave. Fenrir would be big and Loki had thought that he needed to know how to shift to get around in Midgard. *He will be big.* Loki agreed softly. It would take a while for Fenrir to be fully grown but when he was, well even Loki was unsure how big he would be.
