Woo Hoo! We just picked up my uncle from the airport (finally!) He had been on a business trip in New York, and he brought me back a red Chinese dress from Chinatown! I love it!! I told him that he just bought me my Halloween costume....and strangely, he was delighted.... blaugh

XDD and from a mod no less... well I found out the problem, and so I changed my sig a bit... what do ya'lls think now? xd To be honest, it looks more or less the same to me. It doesn't bother me in the least, and it's kind of cute; my eye reads it and then sort of smiles to itself and moves on. Whereas this sig image really annoys me, so I notice it and remember it.

I feel so blessed! Today, everything managed to go well. I got to stroll around the flea market at the fire department today and found some wolf-statue things (a pair of em, who I have named Ronnie and Ren.) I also (for reasons unknown) bought a brass fan (wall decor item, I presume). Went to Walmart and got a few things, including Fullmetal Alchemist: Conqueror of Shambala! Whoot on that, the movie rocks. Finally got around to picking up a blanket I bought earlier, and just now, when I was out on the porch, what do you suppose I saw? Not one, but TWO praying mantises! Oh, the joy of it! There was one on the lower part of the wall near me (I was sitting on the floor of the porch), looked like white marble camoflage, very pretty and also had an unusally large abdomen, so I presumed it was a female full of eggs. She was wary of me, and when I got up to leave, she flew right past my face and settled on a porch railing. I noticed the second one after standing up and stretching. This one was thinner and darker colored, and seemed to just be hanging there, trying to catch a snooze or something. Anyway, I'm content. heart

Mmmm ~
A nice long catnap does so much good after nightshift, groceries, and then pwnzorating the crap out of the GunZ Online players. mrgreen
But yeah, I totally got night shift for next week, though I only have 4 days.
When I went to see the manager, she told me she's trying something to check on one of the other employees who's apparently been coming in or not at random and when he DOES come in, he comes in late.
Conclusion? IF he doesn't show up properly for his next shifts, I'm gaining half his hours. WHOO! This means I'm doing good enough to not be fired! XD
~Doomie gains a level in workplace ego!~
But yeah, then I finally got around to do the groceries.
I now totally love IGA and their rebate coupons. I'm now fully stocked up on chicken wings, pasta, condiments for meals, cereals, soda out of the wazoo and one nice big giant bottle of Sangria, because I'm actually starting to like taking a glass of alcohol drinks everyow and then, though I do my best to keep it in moderation since I know my dad's entire family line was alcoholism-prone by nature. What can I say, it's the Gaspesian way! XD
Doomie ish happy. I got new games lately, finally got my things cleared up, my time's finally mine to toy with, work's going well, apartment problems are settled, it's all good! I love this. Just, being in control of it all. Being able to choose what I want to do, when I want to, and not having to worry about anything else unless it'd be detrimental to me. XO

Hate being sick. gonk Had to miss work today and I really hate missing work. Well... I love it when I don't have work, but hate it when I am suppose to work and have to call in saying I might not make it. confused
