Sayla-girl Yikes. Dont those sort of outfits usually run several k? Oh I don't know. I buy all my armor off of a Mando'ad who knows my aunt. FireStorm, i think his businesses name is. I got a full set of plates for a beskar'gam for 30 bucks. All because he and I are good friends through my auntie. THANK YOU AUNT LIL!

I'm torn between doing a swashbuckler or a scotsman. I have very few pieces right now and both ideas sound fun. I'll probably go with the Scot idea because I'm going to be getting a kilt soon anyway.

Sayla-girl Oh! That reminds me! Jad'ika, have you been to Mandalorian Mercs? Whats Mandalorian Mercs? @Johnny: I'm right with ya, buddy. Only I'm not really into the whole Scotsman thing. Actually Johnny, tell me this: My outfit is a Barbarian. Bear skin, big weapon, big beard, big body. You know. So in your opinion is that something for a Ren Faire or more like... SCA?

http://www.mercs.firespray.net/And I think barbariansare perfectly acceptable at Ren fairs, Jaden. If Goths can go out in public there, so can unruly savages.

That works just fine. Besides SCA is almost always at the Ren Faires I go to. Speaking of which I need to see about joining the Medieval Martial arts classes that are taught in Lincoln on Thursdays. (IT's not SCA but it's still pretty cool.) Nebraska Swordfighters Guild: http://www.mercierarmory.com/nsg/nsg2.html

I can fence, but I want to move past that into other styles which are less about sport. Plus these guys seem more structured than some of the groups out there with the padded weapons who just beat on each other. Huzzah for real swordsmanship!
