Love is a battlefield. Love is something that must be fought for once you have it. Valentine Amores is a Knight of Hearts, she fights to keep love intact and to reunite those who were separated by those who dare interfere with the heart's desire. It was on one of those occasions when she encountered her brother's soon to be mate; the mare had become a monster and left a pile of Amores bodies in her wake. She was trying to kill Coop when Val stepped in and saved him. She was badly injured, near death, but she lived to fight another day. She now has a fear of skinwalkers but will not let it prevent her from frighting for what she believes in and nor will she allow the previous love of her brother hurt her family again.
