The borderlands I feel from it is the 'mods' and 'upgrades'. Which makes you NOT want to pick up more weapons in a pinch, because all of a sudden you have the equivalent of a +5 Baseball Bat of Shocking, and having to replace it with a wooden board makes you feel all bad inside. The way I feel about it, as far as weapons go, is that the weapons by themselves are plentiful and picking up new ones isn't a problem. The problem is you spend hundreds of dollars on something useful (like a sturdy flanged mace), and it breaks so freaking fast even though it's a blunt thing made of metal (structural integrity aside), so when it breaks completely and you have to pick up something else like a paddle, and the level system turns the paddle into a useless piece of crap, then you're up a creek with a paddle that'll do you less good than your own fists. Grumble grumble grumble. Half of my problem is that I was following that game since it was being hinted of being created, and had such high hopes for it, and they utterly destroyed those hopes.
But that all aside, I too know where they're going with it, but the promises they made pre-release didn't come true. And I was saddened greatly.
But also back onto Elder Scrolls, my favorite thing to do was save up my money and create a spell that summoned some of the higher end stuff (lich, big demon monster thing, etc etc). Sure I could only cast it once on my mana bar, but it decimated EVERYTHING and I felt so freaking amazing when I used it. Cost a SHIIIIIIT ton of money, though.
