Tesei Utakata Tsuki had no chance against the Grass Knot, the strands of green rope-like material lashing her to the ground with a deafening impact from the increased Gravity. "Hmm. Aren't you clever? Tsuki, Dark Pulse." Reno shot back with, watching as the Weavile drew in as deep a breath as her crushed lungs could manage. Her mouth would gain a dark glow for a moment before she spat at the Exeggutor, firing off a Dark Pulse towards her opponent that was still on the ground in front of her. The dark chi would wash over the Exeggutor, the living coconut tree letting out a moan of pain as it suffered. Despite the intense fight it put it the Pokemon just couldn't take anymore as it passed out from the pain, fainted. "Well that was cool for just the beginning, huh?" Blue declared as he recalled the Grass type back to the Safari Ball, stashing the now minimized ball into his pocket before bringing out another Safari Ball, tossing the ball onto the field where it would slam into the ground due to the still lingering effects of Gravity. "Rhy!" Roared the Rhyperior as it appeared from the ball. "Another beast I caught all by myself. Aren't I something amazing?" Blue said with a laugh. "Rhyperior, Rock Blast right above it!" The gym leader ordered. The rock creature seemed to be able to resist the increased gravity better than Tsuki (as far as standing in place goes) as it stood strong and rose its cannon-like arms into the air, firing off a volley of large rocks from within. The rocks would soar into the air a little ways before being forced down to the ground violently by the gravity, causing multiple stones to rain down upon Tsuki with great force behind them. Smart.

Tsuki would do her best to evade the descending rocks, managing to keep one or two from slamming into her. What she could not avoid were the massive swarm that the rest of the rocks consisted of. Buried underneath the sudden appearance of these meteorites, a single claw would manage to paw its way out of the pile before going limp. Seems that bit of luck had run out.
Wordlessly returning the Weavile, the trainer would begin to examine his remaining Pokemon. Based off casual observation, it appeared he might only have one realistic choice to go with. Well, at least he was used to the increased Gravity. "Hook. Time to lay the hammer down." Reno muttered, releasing the shiny Kingler as it sent itself flying towards the Rhyperior. "Very impressive. But hows this for you?"
While the crab was certainly slowed a bit by the gravity well it had appeared in, recent experience was allowing him to adapt quickly to powering forward towards its opponent. Hauling its larger claw back as the limb began to glow, Hook would leap into the air and attempt to bring the Crabhammer slamming down onto the Rhyperior. Two could play at the abuse Gravity game.

"Perior!" Roared the Drill Pokemon as it took the super effective hit like a champ, standing strong as its Solid Rock skin allowed it to absorb the powerful blow the best it could. While it certainly hurt a mix of the Pokemon's ability, weight, and Gravity allowed it to stand in place, virtually unmoved but still had a bit of wind knocked out of it as it tried to regain its breath.
"Now you're using the old noodle!" Blue laughed. "That's what my gym is all about, thinking on your feet, taking whatever life throws at you and deal with it. One day you're the Champion and just hours later you're not. What do you do? You become the baddest gym leader in the land and make sure no punks sully the title you once held!" Blue declared proudly. "Like this! Thunder Punch!"
With the two monsters in close quarters the Rhyperior would rise one of its thick arms, it beginning to crackle with electricity. With help from the Gravity the Drill Pokemon brought the Thunder Punch down with fierce force.

Watching the Thunder Punch come flying in felt similar to watching a bomb drop down towards a target. Just this sense of inevitability that would climax upon impact. Worst thing was, usually Reno had a strategy for just such occasions with his Pokemon. Unfortunately, he barely used Hook. All he could do was meekly order, "De-defend yourself, Hook." The response was something that Reno had not expected. The Kingler would suddenly flare with energy, a slight shimmering shield appearing around the Pincer Pokemon as it moved to evade the Thunder Punch. While he moved slowly compared to the punch, Hook watched as the Rhyperior's attack was deflected off of the shield and sent away from the Water type due to the slight change in angle provided by its movement.
"Evidently, he does that thinking on his feet part better than me." Was Reno's only response, staring in awe at what had just happened. Kingler learned Protect naturally. Who would've guessed?

Blue just sighed as the Protect appeared around the Kingler, Rhyperior's blow bouncing off, sparks flying in the air as it did. The Rock type would spin around a bit from the redirected momentum, however righting its self so that it faced the crab again. "Delaying the inevitable. lame." Blue scoffed at the Protect. "Rhyperior, let's respond to their cheekiness accordingly, Drill Run." The gym leader ordered, annoyed already by this Kingler. With surprising reflexes the Rhyperior would get a running go towards Kingler before launching its self off the ground and into a spin, the Drill Pokemon's entire body rotating violently as it jettisoned its self towards the crab Pokemon horn first. If successful the Rock type was aiming to slam the big crustacean into the nearest wall.

"Well, want me to make it interesting then?" Reno griped at Blue, glancing over at Hook with a crazed grin on his face. "Time to make a little wager. What are the chances that my Kingler manages to catch his claw perfectly on your Rhyperior over your Rhyperior running down my Kingler?"
"Guillotine. Lets have fun, Hook." Reno chuckled out, staring with anticipation as he watched Hook wind up and prepare to ram that claw straight into the Rhyperior's throat perfectly, using its own momentum to take the great beast down. Well, hopefully. Otherwise it was going to be a bug on a windshield.
(1-3 for critical success and knock out. Otherwise, new Pokemon time.)

Blue would be shocked by what happened, the little maneuver the Kingler pulled had to be a one in a million shot but it still managed to pull it off. The Rhyperior was snatched up in the Kingler's mighty claw and thrown over and into the wall, its own speed and power turned against it as the Horn Pokemon drilled its self into the wall, the Rock type knocked out by the force of its own attack as it now laid motionless buried in said wall.
"...you're paying for that wall..." Blue growled as he recalled his Pokemon, the gym leader obviously more annoyed by the implied insult Reno had just dealt him rather than the damage done to his wall. despite what he said. "You're going to pay for it one way or another!" With a shout he tossed out a Great Ball, the device bursting open to reveal a certain Psychic Pokemon.
"Alaka." The Psi Pokemon moaned as it appeared from the ball, floating midair in an 'Indian style' sitting position with its legs folded, spoons in hand.
"Dethrone that so-called king and wipe the smirk off its owner's face! Energy Ball!" Blue ordered.
Without much effort the Pokemon would point one spoon at the Kingler's direction and conjure up a large ball of Grass energy at the tip of its spoon. Within a second of being formed the Energy Ball would fire off with the sound of a cannon firing and jettison its self straight for the Kingler, more specifically it was aiming for its giant claw. Let's see it use it after this.

Reno would let out a manic cackling as he watched the Rhyperior get hurled across the room in some variation of a judo throw. Well, as close as a crustacean could manage at least. Either way, he got to watch as the Rock type nearly obliterated the wall it impacted.
"You mad, bro?" Reno shot at Blue as he began to bark orders, a smug grin on his face as he watched the Energy Ball slam into the Kingler and send him flying into the wall. Glancing over at Hook, he could see him stumbling back to his feet but he seemed to holding his main claw a little limply. Alright, so the big hits were a bust right now. Time for something a little different.
Reno would give a snap of his fingers before pointing at Hook. "Mud Shot time, my friend!" Reno crowed, watching as the Pincer Pokemon quickly gathered up material from the ruined walls and fired it out in a vision obscuring arc in front of himself. The Mud Shot would....spread out much more quickly than expected, falling into a large swath in front of the Alakazam to reveal Hook charging forward with a Slam to hammer into the Alakazam with his full body weight.

Blue would just glare at Reno, choosing not to further escalate the shouting match...for now, he knew well and good he wasn't going to be able to stay silent for long. As the Mud Shot was fired the gym leader suspected a trick and so was quick to order a move which he hoped would at least damper his opponent's plans. "Psychic burst, Alakazam!" The man commanded. With no true target and as ordered the Alakazam would cross both its spoons as the Mud Shot spray came down on it, unleashing a burst of Psychic all around it. At that moment Kingler closed in with its slam attack and while the Alakazam was hit, and knocked out of its floating position, the burst of Psychic would help to cushion the blow as it acted against the force of Kingler's Slam and hopefully also sent it flying too.

Hook would only manage a half-hearted Slam before the Psychic blast sent him flying backwards, slamming back into the wall again before the Kingler grumbled at the Alakazam. Slowly getting up and beginning to limp towards the Psychic type again, Reno would quietly palm a Pokeball and return his Water type. "He wouldn't have lasted a second out there after that. But this one should do the trick." Reno told the Gym Leader, tossing out another ball before clamping his hands over his ears.
Emerging from the ball would Nova, and the Volcarona looked to fully prepared already to fight the Alakazam. The Bug type would begin to vibrate slightly before a piercing ringing would erupt through the room. While normally he would have a witty response, Reno was too busy trying to not be deafened by his own attack.

The Alakazam would wince as the Bug Buzz sounded off, the Psychic type feeling that horrible noise in its very brain. No physical damage done but plenty of mental fatigue dealt to it. "I've heard better coming out of a Snorlax's back end!" Blue cracked a joke about the sound Volcarona made. "Let's stick with the tried and true, Psychic!" The gym leader ordered, his Alakazam performing a repeat of the last attack as it unleashed a burst of Psychic energy against the moth.

Reno watched the Psychic blast slam into the somewhat cocky Volcarona, wincing as he realized what was about to happen. "Oh feel that originality. It wounds me so. Nova, do your thing." Reno yawned out, watching as the now angered Volcarona sent off a Fiery Dance. With the flaming scales now sweeping through the air, he hoped that the cover would provide him with an advantage for his next move.

Ally Switch!" Blue commanded. Without delay, wanting to get out of there as quick as possible, the Alakazam would cross its spoons and vanish into thin air, teleporting back into its ball. His spot would not remain empty for long however as an Arcanine teleported into existence, filling the void. "Arr!" Howled the canine as the burning scales were flared up further and disappeared upon contact with its body, Flash Fire activating as the Fire-types 'inner flame' began to burn brighter thanks to the Fiery Dance.

Watching the switch with a slight groan, Reno felt himself snap into an idea of what he could do to counter the Arcanine in front of him. I mean, he wasn't going to be the one to wimp out and simply swap his way to a type advantage. Not today. Directing his telepathy, Reno would communicate and calm Nova down from her impending rage-induced firestorm before shouting, "String Shot!"
Using a flurry of stick strings from her mouth, Nova wouldn't be able to actually fire them directly at the Arcanine as the Fiery Dance was still drifting through and would've set the majority of the strings on fire. However, enough would make their way through to try and bind the Arcanine slightly, while the rest simply scattered across the battlefield. "Well. Not exactly what I hoped for but it should work." Reno said, sheepishly looking at the results of the String Shot.

Blue just watched as the bulk of the String Shot fell short, a little bit of it actually making it to Arcanine as it lazily wrapped around it. Sure, the sticky string would hinder it a bit if it got to moving a lot but just standing around or walking a bit brisk wouldn't cause it too much trouble. "That's it?" The gym leader said, fighting back a laugh. "Good job...I guess. I guess we should show you a real move and show your bug some reason fire...Fire Blast, Arcanine!" While Blue could have ordered a more accurate Fire move and do a big chunk of damage anyways it looked like the cocky gym leader planned on humiliating Reno by ordering this one. With a wall trembling bark the 'Legendary Pokemon' would conjure from its mouth a giant blast of almost white hot fire in the shape of the Kanto-Johtonese symbol for 'fire'. The burning symbol would barrel towards the fire bug, threatening to crash into it with devastating force thanks to its Flash Fire ability having been triggered. But would it hit? (1-85, hit. Anything else, miss.)
