I made another discovery this week.
Anyone heard of Star Wars Revisted?
Apparantly, some guy actually got permission from George Lucas to edit the original movies so that they coincide more with the prequals.
Here's some of the stuff he did for Episode IV, the only sequal to have been remade so far:
- C-3POs leg is silver, as it originally was on the costume
- Sound effects are louder
- Bright graphics
- Lengthened scenes; many scenes were made longer by adding different camera angles to the film that were already in existance
- Broken Battledroid inside the Jawa Sandcrawler
- Luke's Lightsaber Intro; parts of the scene were switched around to how they were originally filmed, instead of as they appear in the movie
- Star Destroyers and Death Star; most of the Death Star scenes are now over some unnamed planet, probably Naboo, while being accompanied by Star Destroyers. One gets really close, showing just how massive the Death Star is, when you remember the SD being huge compared to the Corvette
- Cantina scene; not only does it show Obi Wan cutting off the right arm (the human not the alien), but the wound is also cauterized
- Greedo's Death; He doesn't even get a chance to fire his blaster
- No Jabba scene
- "I know a few maneuvers". In the original movie, he keeps flying straight. Now he actually pulls a few tricks
- Falcon interior shots; you see more of it, and realize the room is circular
- Death Star radar. The radar that shows the Death Star approaching Yavin is 3D now
- Death Star schematic is red, like the one in Episode II
- "Blasted Wedge where are you." Luke correclty names the pilot that helps him
- So close. The final scene where the death star blows up shows the laser charging, and almost firing right when it blows up. They were literally not a second too soon
- Chewbacca gets his medal
Look up the movie for yourselves
