While a number of the members moved towards Charles, Kageko remained where she was and could neither hear nor see what was happening. However, she did manage to see Emilia hold up the head of the werewolf. the girl thought to herself, wondering what exactly her senior was doing. The werewolf could get extremely scary at times, but she had never shown any hints of being even remotely crazy. Feeling the tensions rise even further, the girl could tell that this precarious calm would not last long before the storm began.

The King looked at Leon.
"Well I was being honest when I said I did not want you dead."
He clapped his hands and four strong guards with swords dashed for Leon who was in the center of the group.
"I want him alive!" shouted the monarch.

The first guard was met with Emilia's sword across his throat.
"How tiring!" she sighed.
The three others tried to get to Leon to pull him away from the group.

The King could not give the order to fire the arrows, not with Leon in the middle for he wanted him alive!

Leon reacted nearly as quickly as Emilia did, jumping into the air and flipping backwards, but he did not go for his weapon, instead, a flash of silver came from within his cape and a knife stuck out of the forehead of one of the armed men. Angeles immediately drew her deathwhisper and transformed it into a bow, four arrows forming between her fingers, aimed for the remaining two men.

Why was Leon so important? The ranger landed on the ground then spun around, his hands moving around him and a sudden wind picked up, so strong even the gold coins were blown backwards as he threw a gust of wind at the last two men, who were then pierced by Angeles' black arrows. Leon stood up, still spinning and gathered the air around him then spread it out around the unit, a tornado formed around them, and Leon steadily fed more power into it, their arrows would not go through. His eyes looked into the kings as he kept his arms spread to hold up the tornado, everyone's cloths thrashing wildly about themselves and Angeles changed her weapon into a sword, realizing that arrows would be ineffective.

"If there are any secret ways out of this place Louis now is the time to reveal them," said Leon to the unit leader.

Figuring that it was either now or never, Kageko began her attack before the tornado reached her. She launched two of the six vials towards the archers and in different direction, spreading a gas that would quickly take out the guards from the left-front to the left-back. The ones directly to the left and in the middle would likely be given some time to react. After launching the first two vials, the girl then began to launch another pair but soon found it unnecessary as she saw the tornado extend over her and surround the Unit. Backing away slightly from the wall of wind so as not to be hit by the high-speed debris, she waited for whatever was going to happen next.

Louis smirked.
"That way."

Emilia had to admit that she was impressed by Leon's ability and a wide grin could be seen across her face. She almost looked happy if it were not for the wolf head in her left hand.

"Horses are waiting outside." explained the Unit Leader.
The group moved quickly towards a side door.
But before they could all reach it safely, the guards started throwing silver arrows, but more dangerous some holy water bombs which once in Leon's tornado were casting water everywhere.

Louis got some on his back and neck, but Sven got severely hit in the face. Blinded he stumbled on Lilia who was trying to bend the water away from the group. The vampire's movement propelled both of them out of Leon's tornado.

The guards who were directly behind did not lose a second and both the human and the vampire were slayed in seconds.

Emilia shouted.
"Nooooooooooo!"
She launched to try to help them but hit heavily the door that Louis had just closed behind them.
The Unit leader looked in front of him: Kageko, Leon, Angeles and himself. No one else was left. The Unit was no more.

"They are dead." he said harshly at Emilia whose fist hit the vampire's chest without remorse.
"We need to keep moving." he said but dragging the werewolf was too much of an effort for him as his back was hurting like hell.
"Let's go." he said almost losing his calm but letting go of Emilia.  

[Angeles Valentine]

Angeles moved quickly as Leon walked back, once he saw the water splashing out around him and began to move faster, noting that a few members began to get thrown out or were running out in panic. When the door closed, only five remained. He turned to Louis who he knew had gotten hurt and saw Emilia attack. He walked over and with a grunt lifted her up and whistled. His horse came galloping up, "we don't have time to argue," he snarled, throwing her onto his horse and grabbing teh reigns of another as he took off down the road.

Angeles followed suit, dashing over to Louis and without exerting caution to his injuries lifted him up onto a horse and got onto one herself, grabbing the reigns of another and took off after Leon. It had gone worse than she wanted, only five had been saved, and two of them were not in the unit. She had failed her king, and she tightly gnashed her teeth.

As Kageko followed after Louis and the others, she tossed two more of the vials in separate directions after everyone else had gone inside. Leon's tornado would rapidly spread the gas as the group exited the court yard, causing the guards and kings to fall asleep. After doing so, the girl headed in right before Louis slammed the door to stop Emilia. As the others mounted horses, Kageko did so as well and waited for whatever would happen next. She could tell just from looking that everyone was tense. Even her own hands were shaking a bit from what had just happened. the girl could still see the attack in her mind's eye, She had expected it, but it was another thing entirely to see it, even if she had managed to keep herself from witnessing most of the blood. With a shake of her head, the girl managed to push back the image. Right now, she needed a clear head to follow wherever the others would start traveling to.

Emilia barely noticed that Leon was carrying her, only when she realized that Louis was in no shape to take care of her. She dreaded what was to come because she knew that she would have to be on a horse again...with Leon.
As the ranger threw her on his horse and jumped behind her, she grunted.
She still had the head in her hand and this time there was her blade between her and the ranger.

Louis was moving as fast as he could. He needed his back to be washed quickly for the holy water was still burning through his skin.
The vampire gave a nod of thank as Angeles helped him up and he hurried his horse forward. Each move of the horse was casting waves of pain up his spine but he rushed his horse faster and faster.
They needed to put distance between the guards and could not stop until the night.

The group was soon out of the city in the forest but the sun was still high in the sky.

Emilia was dark and silent, her emotions ready to burst out. She wanted to fight, to kill, to destroy!  

[Angeles Valentine]

Angeles kept a close eye on Louis for signs of failing. She would run him until he fell off his horse, only then would she stop o help him, for now speed and distance were key.

Leon led the way down the road, using his power to cut the wind ahead of him and cut the wind resistance for the group, allowing them a bit more speed towards the woods, careful of the blade between him and the werewolf but otherwise ignoring her, running his horse faster, kicking his ribs. When they got out of the city they passed Angeles' horse who turned and began to run alongside the small herd, tossing her head and neighing loudly. The vampire looked over at her then looked ahead again, bending down against the horse.

Kageko continued to search the auras around her as she rode in the back of the group, focusing on long-distance energies rather than short-distance ones. Her main reason for doing so was because she would be able to notify the group of any suspicious energies much sooner at long-distance. Her secondary reason was because the aura that Emilia was emanating just now was very scary to the human woman and she really hoped that the werewolf wouldn't decide to let loose her anger on the human girl. That wouldn't be fun for Kageko, not at all.

Emilia's hands clasped onto the front of the saddle, trying to prevent the bumps and movements of the horse to hit her to strongly, but the shifting of position pushed her a little back, yet she did not care, nor notice.

Her eyes caught a glimpse of the kid. Of all the members of the Unit who made it, she had to be one of the three.
The mind of the werewolf was racing with rage and anger. She needed to explode or she would lash on someone.

Louis was bending lower and lower on his horse. The pain was growing with each turn, each acceleration, each stone on the ground. He was barely holding on the reins and his face was grey with an awful grin of pain.

If Lilia had been there...she could help with her water healing bending...but she was dead...trying to save Sven.
Louis shook his head.
As the Leader, he should have died. He knew for Charles, but the others...he had hoped.
Physical and mental pains were creeping upon his body and soul as the group moved further and further away from civilization.  

[Angeles Valentine]

Angeles saw Louis fading fast and wondered how on earth she had lasted so long with the wound on her shoulder, Louis' wound must have been worse and finally she leaned over and stopped his horse and hers and all but dragged him out of the saddle and onto the ground, "dammit Louis," she snarled as she began to tear off the upper layers of his clothes before she dug her fingers into the earth and began to spread the cool dirt over his wound to absorb the water.

Kageko stopped with Angeles and Louis. Her senses were still alert. So far, it seemed as if no guards had been dispatched to chase after them, yet. It seemed as if the sleeping gas had done its job exceedingly well. Now, though, the problem was where they would head to. Hopefully, someone else within the group knew of a safe place, but Kageko was unsure. Her hands tightened on the reins as the images of the brief fight flashed through her head again. While it was true she had rarely interacted with most of the members within the Unit, the girl could still not believe the entire set-up. It made her angry just to think about it. Kageko thought to herself as she waited for Angeles and Louis to get back on their horses and continue,

When Louis felt Angeles closer to him, he almost jolted.
"I am alright..." he said weakly.
"We need to keep going. Attach me on my saddle if need be, but we cannot stop."
The dirt did some good but he knew that would not last.
"Thank you Angeles."
His hand grabbed her wrist to stop her.
"Help me up and let's go."
He forced himself to his legs and with Angeles's help was again on his horse, trying to stay in control of the situation.

Emilia witnessed the scene with her feeling of anger and helplessness growing in her heart.
She turned her eyes to the head she was still carrying.

Angeles snarled but objections were cut short when Leon's voice came to them, "come, I know where we can stay," he said, "it's far from here, but if we hurry we should make it a little after dark," he turned and began to gallop again and Angeles dashed over to Alexandria and hopped onto her back and took off. The other riderless horses followed out of herd instinct. She kept her crimson eye on Louis in case he began to fail again, her fangs were bared.
