"Really? That's good." She said before squeaking a thanks and entering the restaurant. After scanning the tables before them, Kaede quickly went over one that was close to a window facing the city. Once seated on her chair, she didn't waste time in looking out to what was outside the restaurant. "Well, it sure is different from back home..." She started, still focused on the many citizens going about. "But, I like it so far." The girl admitted with a small smile.

He chuckles a bit as she looks around and out the window. "Yeah, it is different, but hopefully this'll be a good change. Papa's glad you're liking it so far, Kaede-chan." He grins again before handing her one of the menus he'd picked up on their way in. "Order whatever you want, Kaede-chan. Papa's just happy his little girl is here!"

The girl took the brochure from him. "Are you sure?" she asked as she focus was now at the appetizers, main courses and desserts that were offered, "At least tell me you already ate! But are you still stuck with fried rice?" She looked up at him in an accusatory way that matched her tone.

Kotetsu grins and nods. "Of course I'm sure!" At her accusatory look and tone, he at least had the decency to blush a bit, coughing slightly before hurriedly pulling the menu up in front of his face. "Hai, hai. Papa just really likes his fried rice. And it's healthy, Papa swears!" In his mind it was healthy, anyway, since he always got it with some form of meat and veggies with it.

"But eating the same dish everyday is no good!" She continued, "Too much rice can be bad for you, you know?" Kaede paused to take a last look at her menu, decided to order a strawberry gelato, 'Pizza can wait', she though, before keeping up their weird role-reversal of parent and child. "Honestly, it wouldn't hurt you to try something else..."

Kotetsu flicks his tail slightly at the admonishment, then heaves a sigh. "Alright, alright. What do you suggest I try then, hrm?" He asks, deciding to at least attempt eating something other than his norm, if it'll make his daughter happy for a bit.

She really couldn't help grinning in triumph at that. Kaede was now holding up her menu in a way that he'd only see the cover, while she looked those that peaked her interest. "Like, a soup? There's a lot of them..." She suggested. "Maybe a hamburger, or even a cake!" she added, never letting her eyes off the brochure.

Kotetsu blinks, happy that she seemed so excited that she got to pick something for him to try, but at the same time, a little worried about just what she would pick. "Ahn... Nothing to sweet, please? I'm an old man, after all, and that'll keep me up all night." He says in a slightly joking tone.

As bright brown eyes peeked at him from over the menu she held in her hands, Kaede considered what he said. "Alright, alright" she said a bit defeated, "No sweets then, you'll probably have a stomachache anyway." she quipped. The girl made a little noise a small noise as if thinking up on something, then folded out the paper on the center of the table, this time turned so he had to look at it. "What about we pick together, then? she asked, "Just no rice."

Kotetsu eyes the menu as she folds it out for the both of them to look over. "Hrm.... What about a pizza then? You said you were interested in some pizza earlier."
