Rosa blushed darkly and nodded softly. She smiled and snuggled at his side kissing him. "Sleep well my love." Her thoughts strayed now to that ceremony. She smiled more hoping he liked the dress she had picked. Well, she would find out soon hopefully.

Rosa. . . Rosa quick hide! Her mother's voice whispered as hands grabbed her and shoved her into a little hiding spot under the floor that was under the bed. She remained quiet while the strange men kidnapped people from their village to experiment. They found her. Hands grabbed her. She tried to fight but they injected her with something.

Rosa threw herself up in the bed with a gasp. Trembling. Her eyes were bright red, her fangs long. She felt wet all over like she'd been sweating. She looked around and saw the same scene. Everyone she loved dead.

Another scream and she woke shaking hard. Then she burst into tears.

Oburos woke to the sound of screaming and he was instantly upright, searching for another intruder. It wasn't until Rosa screamed again and woke, shaking, that he realized she had been having a nightmare. As she cried, he pulled her close, rubbing her back soothingly. "Shh, love. Shh. Do you wish to speak of your dreams?" he asked softly, unable to keep the tiredness out of his voice, but too worried for Rosa to even consider going back to sleep.

Rosa continued to cry. "It's always the same." She cried clinging to him tight. "Always the same."

Fire had broken out again, but not as bad. Just some hay bales around the farm areas nothing to serious. Luckily none of the Queen's wedding plans had been ruined. Though Rosa really wanted to shred the pink. Even in her horrible state.

Oburos hugged her close, rubbing her back. "Shh . . . ssh . . . I'm here." he whispered, unsure of how to cheer her up. He was close to tears himself, not knowing what to do to help. "I'm here." he repeated, resting his head on hers.

Rosa had stilled her trembles but her gentle sobs and hiccuping was still happening. "I don't want to hurt anyone Ro." She whimpered. "Don't let the darkness take over." She whimpered. "Don't let it take over me. I don't want to lose you."

Oburos still didn't quite know how to respond, or how to make her feel better, but he held her close, and did his best to reassure her. "You won't . . . I won't . . . You won't." he murmured in response to her three fears. "I'll make sure of it." he whispered. "You'll never lose me . . . and I'll never lose you." he added, the last bit added more to reassure himself. He was worried about losing Rosa. The humans were still a very real risk. Suddenly he heard the sound of the alarm being raised. Not only had there been a fire, but there was a rather unruly intruder in their camp.

Natasha growled as she lunged at the fae surrounding her, trying to help her. Ha! Help?! They didn't know what she'd been going through. How could they possibly help her?! Except, perhaps, to feed her unquenched thirst. Her fangs bared, she tried to get to the nearest being, but found herself held back. The ground shook slightly under her as her anger, thirst, and desperation grew. Humans had captured her and her sister . . . They injected fae DNA into her system, DNA that her own body had very nearly rejected. She escaped when there was a disturbance in the facility . . . before they could also try and add the damned wolf blood into her body. She was sure her sister Desiree had made it out too. The scent was too similar to deny, but it had been changed. Perhaps, like her, Desiree's DNA had been changed, but she had followed the scent, staying out of the sun, though it seemed to have no power over her anymore, the habit was very strong. "Let me feed damn you! I'm starving!" she growled at the fae holding her back, preventing her from taking ANYONE'S blood.

Rosa frowned a tiny bit. "I have to help." She said to him removing herself from his embrace. She figured that it was her job now to protect these wonderful people. She went out to the balcony and stared at the woman who appeared to be going crazy. She turned to Oburos wondering if he followed. "She's like me. . . but without control, without and anchor. She'll be deadly. But not as deadly as I am." She smiled softly. It took special people to survive what she went through. She knew only one out of fifty perhaps less would survive. Would she be able to help this poor woman? She hoped so. She jumped near the woman, her eyes glowed red. "Stop your attack." She said to the attacker. "Or I will have to harm you. It is not what I want but you are bringing harm to those I love. Desist before I make you."

Oburos frowned as he followed Rosa to the balcony. "Be careful." he murmured, watching her head to the woman, following her at a bit of a slower pace, although he was ready to intervene at a moment's notice.

Natasha growled angrily, making eye contact with the new comer before her eyes widened and her struggles ceased, the similar red glow in her eyes fading as well. "Desiree?" she queried, her voice sounding dry and cracking. She shook her head, seeming confused. "Did they change your appearance as well as your scent? It seems quite possible . . . I mean, look what they did to me!" she said, a manic grin now on her face, as she spread her wings, the stones in the dirt leaping up to form the outline on the otherwise invisible appendages, knocking quite a few fae backwards and causing the vampire-fae to stumble forwards as she was suddenly released. She fell down, lacking the strength to hold herself up any further. She had been running from the humans since she had escaped, and several times she had lost Desiree's altered scent. She didn't bother to feed herself . . . or sleep. Her only thought had been escape and of finding her sister. So if she seemed a bit off her rocker, it wasn't that far from the truth. But she trusted her instincts, and they had led her here. This place was safe. But her hunger was too much. "Please . . . I need to feed." she whispered, reaching out a hand towards the woman who had the glowing red eyes. "Desiree . . ."

"You are unstable sweetie." Rosa whispered going to her taking her hand. "Oh honey you haven't been feeding." She Recognized this scent, but barely. "We can go feed, lets go hunt." She smiled softly and lead her away so the healers could tend to the injured. She turned her eyes to Oburos and smiled softly. "There are rules dear one." She said again. "We have to follow them or the humans will take us again."

Natasha hissed, her fangs extending as she stumbled after Rosa. "I'd like to see the humans try to take me again. They caught us by surprise the last time, remember Desiree? We'll be ready for them this time." she growled. "Drain them of all their blood." she mumbled, starting to lose herself in a haze of hunger.

Oburos smiled back, but it was a fleeting smile that was replaced with a frown as he looked at the newcomer. A vampire . . . who was also a fae? Not unheard of, but she didn't seem used to her fae heritage, if her aversion to the sunlight was anything to go by. So he had to assume she was like Rosa, not a halfling to begin with. A vampire first, as she seemed to have more control over her thirst, though it was slipping, how long had it been since she had fed? "Rosa! Our guest can have her fill in the dungeons. We had captured some humans, but we've gotten all we can out of them. They're no longer of any use to us." he said, waving his hand dismissively. There were no innocents in the dungeon either. Captured in battle, battles started by the humans, these humans were a danger. And if they could be used to feed a starving vampire, well let it not be said that the fae were not a generous race.

Rosa turned her eyes to the girl. She cupped her cheek bringing her close. "Calm yourself," She whispered. "They are smarter than we have been giving them credit for. they put memories in our minds to keep us insane enough to be controllable." If the girl denied that then she'd let the girl feed on the humans. She wouldn't get the memories if she was only newly experimented on, newly escaped. Judging from her mental competence she was new to it though.

"Oh my love that's an excellent!" She purred bouncing on her toes. "They scream so well." She whispered lowly to her companion.

Natasha scoffed. "I know precisely who I am. I am a very thirsty vampiress, who has had faerie DNA mixed with her own." she grumbled. Upon hearing that there were humans to feast upon though. "Oh, yes, the screams always were your favorite part, weren't they?" she murmured, smiling at Rosa knowingly. "I like when they plead for us to spare them." she said, chuckling darkly.

"Do you need me to lead you to them?" Oburos asked, focusing more on Rosa than on the newcomer. Rosa was easier to speak to than this odd stranger who acted like she knew Rosa . . .

Rosa smirked a tiny bit. "I've only recently fed," She purred. "So I'll give them to you, as a gift." She felt a flash in her memory and shook her head. "I think an escort would be lovely, my love." She said turning a happy smirk on her lips. "So we don't get lost. This place is so new to me still."

Oburos smiled and bowed to Rosa. "Follow me ladies." he said, very proper in his tone, but he smirked a bit at Rosa to show that he was teasing a bit. He then led them down to the dungeons where, as soon as Natasha smelt the scent of humans, she rushed forward, her eyes red with hunger and she dug her fangs into the nearest prisoner, drinking deeply.

Rosa turned to Oburos as she watched the girl. Her words in the Fae tongue. "She'll be devastated when I tell her that I'm not her sister and that her sister was destroyed. . . to create me. . ." She watched as another human fell. "There is a chance her sister made it out alive. . . but I'm. . .I'm not sure. I don't want to entertain her hopes."
