Jason laughed when Sela suddenly piped up after he had agreed to Lillian's date, he found it absolutely adorable. He scratched the back of his head, a faint blush still staining his face. Hah, his luck has certainly changed for the better now hasn't it? Rina will be happy to know that. Maybe his new found good luck can rub off on her, her bad luck has been growing like crazy. He smiled when she talked about bowling, glad it wouldn't be just a sit-down and talk kind of date. Less chance of awkward silence! "Sure, it sounds fun." He agreed to the plan happily. "When will our date be?" He asked, it wasn't hard to find that hint of excitement that was in it. Considering that Lillian probably had a busier schedule than he did, then they should obviously have the date when she's not busy. It's true he hasn't really been on a date in a really long time. Usually, girls would want the guy to ask, and he just never found any girls to ask recently. Recently meaning the last few years.
Even though he really would love to stay with Lillian and Sela, he should really head down to that blind date and not stand up anyone. His phone had gone off a while ago, but he ignored it, so maybe something else changed. But he still wanted to eat that cupcake with Sela, and she isn't finished yet! Well, there's still some time in the day for him to have a blind date, he doesn't really have to get ready for it; he's already dressed. Maybe throw on some cologne, and just head to wherever. Man, it's still raining pretty hard outside! He'll probably have to get an umbrella too! He was considerably not as excited for the blind date as he was for his date with Lillian. That's saying something, but he's unsure to what it is exactly. Man, he's just excited that someone asked him out for once! It still excites him though! It'll be nice to meet whoever his blind date is, but his main focus is his date with Lillian!

Alex hoisted the heel of his palms on the edge of the counter, his shoulders hunch as he cocked his head towards his wife. He grinned, looking at what was in her hands. "Yes love, that's fine." He watched her trying to inch closer to his face, seeing the tip of her toes just barely come up short. Chuckling, he let her kiss his jaw before leaning down and kissing her lips. "Yeah, we practically have a lounge back there. Come on and go with me." He hummed, taking one bag so he could hold her hand. Merrily showing her the way, he peeked at the manager's office on his way by. Still gone? How long of a break did she need? He figured she was behind on his work. Biting his lip and winking at Rylee, he let them inside and grabbed the remote to control the television.

Lillian smiled to him again, clapping her hands together happily but making sure to do it gently given two of her fingers were broken. “Wonderful!” she exclaimed, elated that he agreed to her suggestion. Besides the traditional dinner dates, it meant that they could wear comfortable clothes which would help both of them feel comfortable, if either of them ended up getting nervous. Looking him over as she placed her chin within her uninjured hand, she couldn’t help the soft snicker as she could practically see him jittering with excitement. It was just written all over his face! Who would have thought anyone would be this excited to go on a date with her? Even Ty never showed so much excitement towards her. Lillian certainly didn’t think she was anything special, especially after her current drama. Being around Jason was actually like a breath of fresh air. He was lively and readily expressed his emotions, unlike Ty who kept everything locked up. She wasn’t much better, but even she showed more of her emotions than he did.
Garnet eyes rolled in thought. When could their date be? She was working all week, would have Sela all week but she could easily ask Sinclair to babysit since he was staying over. Furniture would be delivered throughout the week as the remodel on her house continued, but she trusted Sinclair to look after things. He was a perfectionist, always had been; he got everything done and kept track of everything else. Today was Monday, and Thanksgiving would be soon, if not later this week; she could never remember the day and that meant a family affair with Ty. Until she talked with Ty about that one, she wasn’t sure what that day looked like. Shaking her head to rid herself of thoughts of him, she pushed her lips to one side as she looked back up at Jason. “How about Wednesday, around...5pm?” she suggested as she shrugged. Looking at the time and letting her gaze drift to her daughter, who looked to be finished eating, she scooted her plate out from in front of her and motioned to Jason to set the cupcakes in front of her so she could choose.

Alex nodded, settling on soap operas and plopping down at one of the tables. "Let's go halfsies. We can have a little of both." He laid out what was in the bag he carried, splaying out the napkins and nibbling at the fries. He was starved after missing breakfast! He'd drank coffee after getting here, but that didn't help much. He was so 'late' he skipped getting something from the kitchen to eat. Which was an option, he got half off this expensive place since he was an employee. "So what have you been doing all day?" He asked, slumping back in his chair and looking her over. She didn't have much to do at home by herself, and he'd talked her into taking a break from work for a while. Which meant she was only at home all day, perhaps not even going out except to see him here; or errands. He didn't think she'd been complaining, although he knew she had to be bored and lonely. On his days off he tried to help, they hung out somewhere away from the house.

Rylee chuckled a little as she saw he had left the channel on a soap opera. Looking over at him again, she then grinned. "That actually sounds like a great idea." She said, her mouth watering as she saw the food. Reaching out, she grabbed a few fries and shoved them in her mouth. She was hungry! She didn't care if she forgot her manners for a moment. Grabbing a few more fries, she was close to putting some more in her mouth when she heard Alex speak. She ate the fries first, more politely this this time before she looked up at him. "Nothing much... I did a little bit of work around the house... but mostly I've been pretty bored and lonely by myself." She said softly, chewing the inside of her cheek a little bit before she chuckled softly. "I'm even considering the idea that we should get a cat so I have some company while you're at work." She said, wondering what he would think of the idea. It had completely slipped her mind that animals could usually sense what Alexus was and tended to be wary of him, like the dog she had as a kid would always growl at him. Shaking her head just a little bit, she ate a few more fries. "Or maybe I'll look into getting a hobby or maybe I should stop by the library and check out some books." She needed to catch up on her reading lists anyway. It wasn't like she was always bored, she really did appreciate it when the two of them would go hang out somewhere. Leaning forward a little, she grabbed the cheeseburger and took off the wrapping. Carefully splitting it in half, she was pretty proud to say that both haves were pretty even. Offering one half to her husband, she waited for him to take it before she wrinkled her nose just a little. Removing the top bun, she grabbed a napkin and used it to wipe off the onions. Now normally she would eat vegetables, but she really didn't care for onions. Once the onions were gone, she returned the top bun before taking a bite out of the burger. "Mmm." It was pretty good! Taking a few bites of her burgers, she then squirmed a little. "So... What would your opinion on getting a pet be?" She asked him curiously. She wanted to get her husband's opinion on it.

Jason smiled when Lillian clapped her hands together, happy that she was happy. When's the last time he went bowling anyway? He knows he been to a bowling alley at least once, but her can't recall when. He's definitely rusty for sure. Hopefully he won't fall on his rear end on his first try. However, that would certainly be something his laugh at. Oh, now he's gonna go out of his way and do that isn't he? He's now just a learning he's crazy for dates. He will admit, he's never been on many, but for reasons he's proud of. He doesn't really believe in just asking a girl, or guy, out on a date just because they're cute or something. He likes actually feeling a connection with them, or knowing them for a while before asking that question. And speed dating is definitely not his thing. Neither are blind dates, but it was Rina who convinced him to sign up for the thing. She shoulda signed up considering her current situation. And did she listen to him about that guy? Nooo, she just had to make this decision all by her self for her first relationship. She was an 18 year old who hadn't kissed anyone yet! Hadn't.. He almost grumbled unhappily about that. That b*****d most likely took her first kiss at the rate they were going, and he can't even call her back! And that hickey too..! Urgh, now he's thinking unhappy thoughts! Look at how quickly his mind went from one thing to the next!
He was brought out of his thoughts when Lillian suggested a time for their date. Wednesday at 5? That definitely worked for him! He was practically free all the time, it's not like he has a job or anything. With a happy nod, he agreed, "Yeah, I can definitely go then." Another blush came to his face as he spoke, once again happy that he was going on a date with her. It faded away when he noticed that Sela had finished eating, and placed the two cupcakes he had gotten for them in front of her. After she had chosen the one she wanted, he would pick up the other one, take off the wrapper, and bite into it.

Sela looked between them, watching as they smiled at each other with a curious tilt of her head. What were they suddenly so happy about? And was she invited to this plan they were making? Or was it like that time her mommy and daddy went on their date? She wasn’t sure how she felt about that. She liked Jason, he was nice, but she wanted her mommy and daddy to be together. She wanted her family. Jason wasn’t her daddy and he never would be. Plus, by his scent he was nothing like them. There was no problems with that, she was around normal people all the time, but she noticed that everyone in her family was different. Well, except her daddy’s aunt...Who didn’t seem to like her all that much; that was something she had picked up on. Why couldn’t her mommy and daddy be together? Silently picking the cupcake with pastel yellow frosting, Sela bit into it, getting frosting on her nose.
Lillian glanced over at her suddenly silent daughter, finding it slightly unnerving that she wasn’t as active as she usually was. She knew Jason enough to be comfortable around him, which meant a jovial attitude. Perhaps she missed Ty more than she was letting on. The little girl did cry for a little while on their way to work. It was reasonable though, she had spent the last three weeks with him and really got to build a bond with him. Even seconds after he left she had started crying, saying how much she missed him. Lillian sighed softly before looking back to Jason with a smile and grabbing a napkin. “Good!” she replied as she reached over and grabbed Sela’s chin before wiping off the frosting she got on her face. It’s a good thing Sinclair decided to stay, she didn’t have to ask Ty, or pay for Kassandra, to babysit. She didn’t want to be questioned by Ty, and she just didn’t feel like having an outsider in her home at the moment. She liked the teen, obviously, but after her last few weeks, she just wanted to have family in her home and no one else. At least for a few days.
A few bites into her cupcake, Sela frowned and set it back on the table. “Mommy…” Sela whined softly as leaned forward in her seat a little. Lillian looked over, a look of concern forming on her face as she looked at her distressed daughter. “What’s wrong baby?” she asked as she brushed navy hair out of her face. Looking her over a bit more, she noticed the girl looked a little paler than normal. “Are you not feeling well?” Sela shook her head as her face scrunched in what looked like pain. Beads of sweat slowly started to form along her forehead as her lips parted and her breathing became shallow, her canines sharpening. Placing her hands against the edge of the table, she rested her head against the table cloth before dropping to the floor and Lillian instantly jumping up from her seat. Sela’s small body wiggled under the table as Lillian bent down and tried to console the whimpering child. A few short minutes after rolling under the table, a small, fluffy white tail peeked out. “Damn…” Lillian whispered as she sat under the table, petting her daughter’s pelt. This was a new one for her. Sela had never shifted in a public place before, so trying to explain this away was going to be difficult.
Sela’s eyes remained closed as she panted softly, not at all comforted by her mother’s touch. It still hurt each and every time, and she needed to adjust. As her body began to settle from shifting, her yellow eyes flashed open, slowly turning red. Her fur bristled before her ears perked up. A low, angry growl rumbled in her throat before she jerked and attempted to bite Lillian. The blonde jerked her hand away and watched in surprise as the pup dashed out from under the table. That was the second time she has tried to bite her. To say she wasn’t slightly hurt by the action would be a lie. Shaking off her initial shock, she crawled out from under the table and ran after her. “Sela!” she called, skidding to a stop and turning back to Jason for a moment. “Sorry, I have to go.” Turning back in the direction her daughter had ran, she hissed in pain from her ribs before taking off again.

Jason smiled as Sela chose her cupcake and bit into it, laughing lightly when he noticed the yellow frosting on her nose. It just irked him that she became quiet, though. Was something the matter? Was she uncomfortable around him? It's.. It's probably just the cupcake in her mouth, she doesn't want to talk with her mouth full! Yeah.. Oh, he shouldn't worry about it! Sela is probably still a little uncomfortable around him, and if he wants her to be more comfortable around her, he has to spend more time with her. Even if he'll never be her father, he still wants to be viewed as a father figure by her. Maybe one day, he'll be able to spend a whole day with her. He bit thoughtfully into his cupcake after taking off the wrapper, finishing the pastry in a few bites. Jason smiled brightly when Lillian smiled, his good mood ever present.
His attention went back to Sela when she stopped eating, and began to learn forward in her seat. Was there something wrong with her cupcake? His worry began to rise as she placed her forehead on the table. When he saw Sela drop to the floor, he wondered if he should get help, but went to the floor a second or two after Lillian did. However, he became shocked and fairly confused when she suddenly began to grow white fur and a tail! Wait, what?! Sela wasn't human?! He jumped when the now wolf snapped at Lillian and ran off. What just.. what just happened? Is Sela a werewolf or something? Oh yeah, he did hear something about a full moon tonight! But this is crazy! This whole time that he's known her, she was a wolf! Jason just sat on his behind in shock as Lillian ran after her daughter, and it took him a few seconds to process what she had said. "W-wait! Do you need help?!" Too late. They were both gone. After a few more seconds, he got up, just staring in the direction they had gone. Should he go after them? With the way Lillian reacted, it seemed like she's experienced it before, but it wouldn't hurt to help would it? He really should go after them! With that he went towards the direction they ran in search for them.

Putting her nose to the ground, Sela sniffed around as she moved through the hotel. She wanted to get outside! She had to find her way outside. Hearing people shrieked as she walked through the halls caused the pup to jump and skitter away. Flattening her ears against her head, she made a mad dash for a singular direction, getting lost a few times as she tried to run away from the people that scared her; just as much as she scared them. Huddling under a table, red eyes darting around in a panic, she slowly tilted her head up and sniffed at the air. It smelled like...Rain. Perking her ears, she whipped her head in the direction of the smell and brought her body closer to the floor as she thought about whether to come out from under her hiding spot or not. After a moment or two of thinking it over, she bolted out from under the table and in the direction of the enticing smell of rain.
Where did that little girl go?! “Sela!” Lillian called as she stopped near the elevators, leaning against them and silently catching her breath. Placing a hand against her side, she inhaled deeply before pushing off the wall and continuing to search. The hotel was so big that it would be like searching for a needle in a haystack to find a wolf pup. Hearing the screams from patrons, Lillian followed them into the lobby. Leaning up against the reception desk, she took another breather, the pain from her fractured ribs being rather overwhelming. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed Jason running after her. Bringing her legs up, she pulled off her shoes so she’d be able to run easier. “Jason! If she makes it outside we’ll never be able-” Lillian stopped when she noticed a blur of white bolt out the doors of the hotel. “s**t!” Spinning on her heel, she jogged to her office and grabbed her phone before coming back up to Jason’s side. “C’mon,” she commanded as she motioned for him to follow. If he ran after them, then she might as well take advantage of his help.
Running out the door, she stood outside the lobby doors and looked around. She couldn’t see Sela anywhere which meant she was going to need more help. Lillian didn’t want to have to call him right now; so soon after everything that happened this morning. However, she was going to need him. Dialing his number, she jogged out from under the protection of the hotel and out into the rain. She only let the phone ring two times before hanging up and trying again. They were in the middle of Uptown, Sela could get seriously hurt wandering around on her own. “Ty, answer the damn phone…” she hissed as she looked back at Jason before taking off in a random direction.

Jason ran out into the lobby, finding Lillian by the reception. He still felt confused and shocked, but he could still understand where the concerned mother was getting at. He was surprised by the sudden sight of something white moving out the door, and Lillian's reaction to it. Everything's happening so fast! Still, with whatever's going on, they need to catch Sela! That's one thing he can get! Imagine it as if a kid just started running away, that's it! She literally is, just in a wolf pup form! It must be a wolf, because it definitely isn't a dog! He obediently followed after her after she told him to follow, getting a lot more worried about Sela now. Even if she's a wolf, it's still pretty dangerous for her to be out like this! What if she gets hit by a car? Now he's really worried!
He stood outside with Lillian in the rain, it was definitely gonna be harder to find the little girl in the rain. Or should he say little wolf? His attention turned towards Lillian when he noticed she was on her phone. Ty? Was she calling Sela's father? Was he the same as her? Even if he isn't, he could certainly help. He pushed his fear and nervousness of ever crossing paths with Sela's father in case that was him, finding their daughter is definitely more important. After Lillian began to run, he followed closely behind her, looking around just in case he could catch a glimpse of the missing kid. However, he couldn't help the nervousness he felt. He was nervous that they wouldn't be able to find Sela soon and/or that her father would beat the living hell out of him for multiple reasons.

Alex hummed amusingly as he watched Rylee stuff her face, forgiving the mannerism since it was just them anyway. He opened the box of chicken nuggets in the mean time, dipping one in bar-b-que sauce before biting it in half. It was unfortunate to know he wa right about her being lonely and bored, but her first idea to fix it made him hiss. "And share your attention?! Cats are demons!" He puckered his lips in a pout, eating the other half of his chicken as she cut the burger in half. He'd never had pets, not fish or reptiles. They all hated him, which was fine, he hated animals too. Especially birds, though. "There are plenty of things to do in town! They opened some new stores recently, you know." He added cheerily. When she asked how he actually felt about a pet, he shrugged. "Do what makes you happy, we can definitely afford a pet."

Alexus insisted on pouting in reply to Rylee's argument about cats, none were ever nice from his experience. Even her cat used to hiss at him. Alex had only become somewhat rattled by animals when hers died; he'd had a vision Rylee was the one hit by that car back then, and when the cat died, could see it's soul following her for months afterwards before finally crossing over. He always wondered if the panic he'd gone into, the one that sent him running over to her house, was what altered her fate back then. Something still had to die that day, and it was the cat. It was just so strange how it stuck around to guard her, still hissing at him every time. His grandfather advised him not to linger on the occurrence for long, or to touch that which was an echo of the dead.
Shuttering at the memory, Alex came back to himself as Rylee kissed his cheek, slowly blinking up at her before smiling. "Its fine, I promise. No household is complete without a pet. Right?" He pecked a kiss on her lips, his appetite gone as he passed her his food. Having those visions always made him sick to his stomach, even thinking about them was upsetting. As he got older they were less rare and more vivid. Don't get him wrong, it still didn't happen very often; the person he touched would have to be having a death experience in the near future for it to be triggered. But since the Halloween carnival, even that was becoming abnormal. He'd had one this morning, without being in contact with the person it was about. It was about his brother, and the deathling hoped he wouldn't be getting a phone call with the bad news.
