Letting out an audible sigh, Allix straightened up a bit while running her fingers through her, unfortunately non-wavy, hair. Ah, one day she'll achieve those beautiful locks she oh-so-desperately wanted. While the similarities were amusing, she did feel a bit creeped out in a way. What were the literal chances of meeting your possible doppelganger? Especially in a grocery store with similar outfit colors. This lady wasn't stalking her... right? " Hmph, I'm honestly a little jealous that I'm the less attractive twin in this situation. " She replied jokingly while plopping her can of voluminizing hair spray into her little basket. " Seriously, though... you gotta spill the beans on how to get better hair, girl. My s**t's flatter than paper! " Now, the next set of questions were a bit unexpected, as well. BREE? This wasn't THE Bree, was it? Not... Finn's Bree? Well, used to be Finn's Bree. Oof. Allix never saw a picture of his ex-wife and she never really asked either since it was a touchy subject. Besides, there were probably tons of women named Bree in the city. Maybe this was just Bree #235 and not Bree #1? It was probably best not to ask. There was no point in beating a dead horse or stirring the pot more. " If it was, we'd have to start a parody movie! "Bree: Into the Bree-verse!" The name's actually, Allix. But feel free to call me Alli~ Nice to meet ya. "

To whether or not it was appropriate Audrey just shrugged/ Though she didn't really get why it wouldn't be. If anything it would probably be more impolite not give a person you just met a name to match the face. Of course there still the issue that Audrey could not reciprocate as easily so instead she held a finger up to gesture Aislin to give a moment as she dug the small notepad out of her purse and began to scrawl on it as they made their way into the building.
Hi Aslinn? Sorry not quite sure how to spell that but its nice to meet you. I'm Audrey and sorry for the delayed response but I can't actually speak so i figured this would be best option. Unless you happen to know sign I guess? Though you don't need to bother writing or signing back as some people tend to do when I tell them. I can hear just fine i'm just mute.
After which she pulled the piece of paper from the booklet before handing it to the other girl hoping she had made things clear enough to not confuse her too badly with such actions.

After giving her name, there was a pause before the other person raised her hand to gesture at Aislin to wait a moment, which she did. Unconsciously shifting her hands in a loose hold at her front in a semi-attempt to gain some warmth in the contrast from the rain, her walk inside after consisted of her dropping that gesture as her attention moved to the baskets set near the entrance. This wasn’t given further attention initially, her focus moving to the other girl once her quick glance moved back up from the side. After a near-minute, being handed a paper from the notepad in her grasp, it was carefully turned around in awareness of her own current state. Despite some confusion still remaining from the earlier span, what was written on it made a lot clearer.
Once skimming over the wording, she looked back up and nodded in a gesture of recognition, the paper still held near her front but at a lower degree than it had been. While her voice lacked some certainty as to what she responded with, confidence overall existed; for now moving past how to spell her name but trying to make a note to clarify that later. "It’s nice to meet you too. --I don’t know sign language, not the standard one; communicating like this shouldn’t be a problem." Careful to keep her tail down low, Aislin was aware of the brief looks put in this direction; some people around the aisles recognizing that they had just come in and were likely about as affected by the weather as they had been, if not worse off. In her own viewpoint, keeping out of their way would have to be held as an awareness: knowing that her own person was technically soaked through, despite not as badly off as she could be.

At that Audrey just nodded a bit not really too surprised. It wasn't really something people tended to pick up without needing to for some reason or other. There were a few exceptions of course but for the most part it tended to be a thing of necessity which was of course was why she normally stuck to writing despite sign being a little more convenient.
Though on the plus side that also made it a good way to keep others from eavesdropping on private conversations as much so there we some definite benefits to its exclusivity. Especially when it came to s**t talking those who got on her nerves. Nothing better than getting to mock a boss or someone to their face because you've befriended the one who usually translates to make s**t up instead. That had been fun. Probably best not to try and get away with it at her new job though.
After a moment or so though Audrey had managed to snap out of her mental tangent she then got a basket as well mostly so following around a complete stranger would be slightly less awkward. With a friend you had know for a while sure that would be normal but a random individual who you let borrow your umbrella? Yeah that was a little weird in her mind at least .Yet at the same time she couldn't really figure out a way to bow out without it being just as awkward and a little rude with only a minor introduction having taken place so it seemed she would be stuck for now.
So, have you been in the area long? I just moved here recently.
Money: $100 (On-person) - $600 (In the bank) Some words are passed ahead while Aislin awkwardly tries to interact>> Healthy, somewhat dampened despite holding an umbrella>> At the Grocery>> Audrey>> Outfit>> Two umbrellas and a small wallet; a paper and basket>> N/A>>

Once picking up the basket, Aislin let it hang from her grasp at her side, a conscious thought put toward how much she needed to buy and how heavy that could turn out. She shifted in her stance, moving away from the stack of containers and looked back toward the stranger after that semi-hurried motion, who for the moment had appeared to be deep in thought. This broke shortly after that motion and turn back, the other going for the baskets as well. Not minding the fact that it may have been a little awkward for them to walk around without having made much in terms of introductions yet, a note of thought regardless passed across as an expression, although it may not have been obvious to others except herself given her person. Carefully holding the umbrella she had been handed in the crook of her arm, against her side, Aislin paused to wait for the other to finish her writing before saying anything or starting off on a walk down the nearby aisles.
A scan across what the page said occurred; a response then passed ahead. "Not by far. I just came around a couple weeks ago." That including moving in, which had taken around that span to be accomplished, the fact that she hadn’t mentioned that then becoming apparent. "It took me a while to get settled in. I live around Etoile." Her tail, briefly waving in awareness and almost doing as much to a nearby stack of paper rolls, then was itself settled down again in further awareness of hitting anyone or anything, Aisling taking on an uncertain and slightly self-conscious tone for the moment, without thinking. Walking ahead seemed like a better idea than not to her at this time, which wasn’t started yet but did shortly; a look down the pathway coming and going by an indirect glance, followed up by one to Audrey to signal she was going that way. Then, after a hesitant pause, a brief careful pace in that direction started; knowing that it likely seemed awkward to others to remain standing there.

So she was new too. Probably wasn't going to do mych good in helping her navigate her way around the area but oh well. She'd have it down well enough eventually, Though she could definitely understand the taking a while to get settled in thing as it had taken her a bit of time as well. Especially with such small housing. Not that it was bad or anything just took a little getting used to compared to the estate her parents owned or the beach house her aunt and uncle had let her stay in once they kicked her out. Though unlike either of those places however this one was all hers which was something she felt a bit of a sense of pride in.
"That makes sense. It took me little while to get settled in as well. I'm over in in Ombre which isn't really like anything i'm used to honestly but I like it.
she continued before looking out the window noticing that was probably her chance to bow out. Not that she wasn't enjoying Aislin's company but she really didn't want to follow the girl around like a child or some creeper.
Hey it looks like its getting late so i think i'm just going to head back home; It was nice meeting you though.

In the short span that followed her own response, there was a further wait before Aislin answered again, putting some consideration toward what was there off-hand. After her gaze moved back from a short drift off in thought, more was admitted: relating on some levels yet not entirely. "It mostly is the same for me, even when I traveled before coming here." Although a distance from the other person, that she looked to the window wasn’t missed; the frame and scenery beyond it also drawing Aislin’s attention for the moment. Earlier, it had been dark out from the rain; that had changed to the extent it almost seemed like night out.
At the shuffle of paper from nearby, the sky was turned away from as she looked back to Audrey, what the other girl had written shortly apparent. "Thanks for lending me this. It was nice meeting you too." With some caution, she took the umbrella from the crook of her arm and held it out to the other before she left, and Aislin in her own case would turn back to the nearby rows.
"Here love, fancy a bag'a chips?" "Sure we had a whale of a time!"

Today is not the best day for comfort food, but Stevie has a craving for it. It probably would have been more appropriate during the days when the rain poured like the end of the world was coming. Unfortunately, she did not have the ingredients or craving for food that may not necessarily be good for you, but certainly taste mighty fine for the palette and soul. The weather has improved drastically, and now she can go shopping for the ingredients she will need for today's meal. Her plan is make a Shepard's pie. Hopefully the store will have lamb, but if they don't, she will have to make due with beef. However, what is more important to her than the meat for the pie is the potato. These potatoes got to be tough enough to handle the intense heat of the oven, but still result in a smooth mashed potato layer. Russet potatoes will be ideal for what she plans on making. This is her first time going shopping for food, and what she found was not what she expected. This did not feel like the stores she is used to going to. Now she is concerned that she will not find what she is looking for. The first thing she searched for were the meats, but all she found were prepackaged lunch meats. Then she searched for potatoes, and she was more fortunate there. Perhaps someplace else has the meat she is looking for. As a last resort, she can swing by the Italian restaurant she works at and take a little bit of meat from there to cook at home, although she would like to avoid doing that. At least she knows that this is probably not the place she would like to shop at for quality ingredients and will have to look elsewhere. Of course, she was not aware that a farmer's market is going on. After grabbing the potatoes she will need for the pie, she moved toward the dairy section to grab the best milk and cheese she can get to make the mashed potatoes.
"Hmm...perhaps organic milk is out of reach for this place...oh well. I've learned my lesson."

"You'd probably have more luck in at the farmer's market if ye need fresh ingredients, miss." Duncan had appeared next to her, browsing the dairy aisle as well, he picked up a pint of heavy cream and placed it in his basket. He glanced back at the woman next to him that he caught mumbling to herself. "Not used to shopping around here yet? I can't blame ye. Took me a while to get used to it as well."
