I'm going to just assume that your opinion of modern RPGs is based on ignorance and suggest that, if you want something different, drive up to Omaha and find a Comic book shop or game store. They can set you up with some pretty exotic fare.

And yes. Yes I do still have my Star Wars D6 books. All of them.

I was at one in Spokane Washington, and they boasted about their world class collection...

Skimming the shelves I didn't find one that different from D20... hell even those that didn't have the Wizards of the coast D20 license liberally borrowed from it.

D6 doesn't seem to be something many people make anymore... everyone is turning out D20 clones. Sorta like with MMOs, everything is WOW clone... which is actually derived from DnD if you look at the leveling process and so forth.

EDIT: I'm not talking about setting or any of that. I'm talking about mechanics.

Now the question is why do you want to know about my d6 collection?

And Dragon's Lair in Omaha has a gaming collection that probably would pants your store in Spokane.

White Wolf. Oh god I used to love playing whitewolf. Werewolf the apocalypse and vampire the masquerade were my favorites.
