"Thanks, you're sweet. Good." he added the last part so she'd understand. he closed his eyes with a long yawn

"S....sweet," Jinx whispered. "Good." She watched him fall asleep and continued to watch after that. After awhile though she grew bored and curled up on the floor beside the bed. She shut her own eyes and had another cat-nap to pass the time.

meanwhile, Kirk returned to the bridge after going through transport and told engineering to prep for the weapons arriving

Walking onto the bridge Shern turned to to Lieutenant Monroe "Lets test this com link"

As Kirk and Tallulah entered the turbolift he saluted them off.

"Right. Enterprise can you hear and see the bridge?"

Kirk nodded and waved a hand.
"I can see you and hear you loud n' clear, Commodore"

"Wonderful"

Shern waved back at the enterprise bridge crew.

"Make sure you keep this channel open; even if you small screen it to the corner of the main screen. It will also ensure you get the tactical layout Kirk has done"

"of course, though I hope you're not expecting too much of a show. We only perform musicals on Tuesdays." Kirk smirked

"I've always loved classical theatre. You should put on a show for us"

Kirk laughed.
"Oh really? Maybe I can satisfy you with fireworks instead?"

"You haven't seen fireworks Kirk... least not till you see these new warheads"

"Classified" Shern said as he sat down. "It's nice to be back in the captains chair!"

Kirk grinned.
"it suits you. Spck informs me he's plotted a course. we shouldn't waste any time. Shall we warp?"

"To the maximum I'd say" Shern chuckled. "We're following your course and speed."

"Might as well test Scotty, then." Kirk said with a grin. he leant over and ordered them to put it into full warp speed and get as fast as they could.

"What? captain is taht wise?" Scotty protested when he got the message. "you're hardly travelling a great distance."
