I've been too busy to go since October. And there always happen to be people there that I don't really want to see. stare

And the date wasn't my idea, but I'm sure it'll be fun.

Man my parents are going to flip tomorrow....xP

I dunno, what's more important my happiness or theirs? Mine I guess, but geez... I really wish they could see it. See that this gender is female. I just wish that they could love me for me. I mean I know they say they love me. But I'm not sure they love the trans side of me....*sigh* it's really frustrating.

Well I'm sure they just need to get used to the idea. I mean, coming out as gay is one thing that's becoming easier for parents to understand. But telling them that you're trans would be hard for them to hear.

It's a harder thing to comprehend.

I agree it is hard. Maybe all I need to do is give them some time and show them that I'm actually serious about this. Because I think right now they think it's a 'phase' which it is not.

Ah well I'll give it time

I think that would help a lot.

Or start giving them examples of how've felt that way for a while. Remind them of different times when you've shown clues.

Maybe even get them some information on the subject so they can try to comprehend what you're going through. I'm sure they just want to help you.

Last time I tried to give them examples of the last time I felt like this they pretty much didn't want to hear it. So I'm going to show them my trans self and then I'll tell them about some examples.

I'm sure they do want to help, maybe I'm just being a bit harsh.

Children and parents tend to be harsher with each other than necessary.

Parents - because they feel the need to protect and guide

Kids - because they tend to feel like they dont get the respect they deserve and like they don't have the freedoms they should have.

The way to get the freedoms and respect (such as them taking you seriously) is to treat them as adults and equals at the same time. Use logic and always have an outline for your argument. If you're fully prepared, they can't argue with you.

You're right that makes sense.

I just hope though that I actually look pretty lol. I've never redone my WHOLE wardrobe but I feel I need to do this. I might not do all of it but a good portion.

I'm excited lol xD
