Personality:
Having had such a lonely upbringing, Farvardin is used to remaining silent, and speaks relatively little unless provoked. He is extremely protective of the creatures that he cares about, and will not think twice to put himself in harm's way if it means the safety of another. Having matured at a young age, he constantly feels responsible for the wellbeing of others, often taking it upon himself to care for others, even when he has few ties to them, and even if he does not particularly like them.
He has few ambitions for himself, thriving instead of the happiness of the creatures surrounding him, and thus rarely pushes himself to try to achieve his true potential in anything. In fact, he hides a deeply rooted fear of failure behind this lack of ambition. He feels the need to convince everybody else that he can succeed at what he does best (protecting people), due to the subconscious misunderstanding that the creatures around him will abandon him the moment they detect any weakness.
In truth, he finds it very difficult to trust, and requires the trust of others in himself before he will reciprocate with his own. Farvardin operates under the belief that the lions around him could, and probably would, abandon him in a minute for whatever reason, and as such, tends to keep his guard up as best as possible. He refuses to be let down by others, although he has been so many times before, and has thus distanced himself from everybody elses' affections by remaining aloof.
Yet, despite the facade, it takes but a moment of pause to stop and try to understand him to begin the long and arduous task of breaking down the walls he has put up between himself and the world, and though he does resist the idea of becoming too attached, the child in him still craves affection and companionship.
History:
Farvardin was born to one of the survivors of the Ilanga'Izwe, although neither his mother nor his siblings survived. He was raised by his grandfather, although Ukoga was never a very touchy-feely kind of parent. He followed Ukoga and the king of the Ilanga when the king decided to seek a safer lifestyle.

Windfola is the kindest, most genuine character anyone would ever have the pleasure of meeting. She embraces the world with an almost naive enthusiasm, sharing her complete devotion and love with everything and everyone. Everything - absolutely everything - is lovable to Windfola; everybody has a rich, chocolatey center just waiting to be loved on and hugged, and it's up to her to hug it to its heart's content. She adores the world and all of its creations with a passion that cannot be derailed, and she would willingly and enthusiastically open her heart and arms to anyone, if they but asked.

Živa seems to have been born with an innate understanding of the workings of the world - the way everything seems to meld together in what is known as the great circle of life, the way pain seems to exist for all creatures, the way death is the inevitable, eventual end of all living beings - and because of it, there is an air of unusual maturity about her: unusual in that while it is there, it has in no way stopped her from being the child that she is. If anything Živa loves to romp and play more than the average cub.

In a word, ambitious. Wemusa is out to be the king of the hill, no matter how small the hill or how terrible. He thirsts for power and recognition above all else, and has little concern has to what he has to do or who he has to trample on to get them. Nothing is ever enough for him, and he wants nothing more than to take, take, take continuously, and to have proof that he is as he so desires to be: powerful.
His relationship with Msiba is somewhat superficial, with neither party particularly trusting the other: Msiba largely due to a reluctance to open himself up to further heartbreak after the death of Wemusa's brother, and Wemusa in turn due mostly to the belief that everything and everyone is dispensable. He would leave in a second if such a move would benefit him, and both Msiba and Wemusa are perfectly aware of it. Theirs is a relationship formed strictly for the convenience and benefit of both, and for no other reason.
History:
The youngest brother of Werevu, the late king of the vultures, Wemusa was never quite in the running for the throne, a fact that has caused him no small amount of grief since he was old enough to be aware of it.
Angered by this cruel twist of fate, Wemusa took to the skies after his brother's death to seek out the one whose plans to wreak havoc upon the Aka'mleli came so close to fruition. In Wemusa's eyes, Msiba and his troupe of troublemakers represent the most intelligent and heartless (and, therefore, brilliant, awe-inspiring, and superior) group to ever have come through the pride, and he believed that it was with Msiba that his dreams of ruling the world would be fulfilled.

Personality:
Stubborn and obstinate to a fault, Nergui refuses to depend on others and is fully convinced of her own ability to take care of herself. This belief has, most of her life, been backed up by unusually good luck, which has also given her a false sense of invincibility when it comes to certain things. She fears nothing and reveres no one, and is a free spirit in every sense of the word.
History:
The idea that nothing bad will happen to her, that the bad things happen to "everyone else" but not to her made her bold. All her life, she has been experimenting, and when one day, she took it too far, it claimed her sight.
Having wandered into the jungle, she caught and ate a little creature she had never seen before. As it turned out, the little creature had in its body a strange sort of protective poison, which plunged her into a painful and terrible illness. Convinced that she would be able to tough it out, she refused to seek out a shaman that was rumored to live in that particular part of the woods until she had been suffering for days and the pain finally became too much and the possibility of death too real for her to face.
By then, it was almost too late. The shaman was able to cure her, but her initial refusal to seek help allowed the illness to spread too far and take her eyesight. What other ramifications her decision might have, she has yet to find out.
What happens now:
For now, she will be having trouble coping with the loss of her sight, which will be a terrible blow to her confidence as well as her initial belief that everything in her life will always be fine and dandy.
There will probably be consequences other than the loss of her sight from the poisoning, which she will come to discover slowly (maybe a mental issue? Not sure, but if so, it may eventually bring her to the Kiza pride where she'll feel more at home perhaps).
She'll slowly come to cope with her blindness (perhaps not too well? Hmm) and figure out a way to live. Most likely, she will refuse the help of anyone else, and may continue to live like that, but she may also eventually come to realize that she simply can't do this on her own and find friends or a mate.
The meaning and use of her name might also come into play. Maybe she'll start to believe that her illness was brought about by evil spirits and think that it's of no use to her any longer and change it. Or something?
Ah the possibilities...

Inflicted with slight insomnia, Kofie finds it difficult to sleep at night, but it seems to suit her just fine. She loves the darkness and the absolute quiet of the night, preferring to be alone for the most part. The night is hers, the time she truly seems to come to life, as if there is something invirgorating about the moonlight at the abstract darkness.
She has a knack for making cryptic comments, but more for the entertainment that she gets from seeing other squirm than for the relating of any true cynicism on her part, and she enjoys pushing social limits just to see how others might reacty. Conformity is not her strong suit, and she does her best to avoid being grouped into a "type."
She's a bit of a tomboy, and always out to prove that anything her two brothers can do, she can do just as well, and as she grows, she will (likely) start to resent her brother's efforts to treat her like her sisters and take care of her.
She's also jealous of the obvious bond between Riddiq and Jakyra, and often tries to hang around Vaako in an attempt to create the same kind of bond.
