Once, in his travels, he met a leopardess named Matawi. They became fast friends and decided to travel together.
Some time later, at a point when Matawi and he had momentarily gone separate ways, he came across a very emotionally broken cheetah named Kiji. Her story pained him, of how she regretted abandoning her cubs after their birth. He helped her come back to herself, even coaxed her into looking for her children.
When she returned, he was overjoyed and yet sad when she related their reactions.
Together they are returning to where he planned to meet Matawi again, having no idea what would await them when they once again joined the leopardess.
After traveling to the Pridelands, Matawi gave birth to six leotahs, three males and three females. She decided to keep one, leaving the remaining five with their father and the Troupe returned to wandering, during which a blind leopard, Kucha, joined the Troupe at the request of Matawi. Some time later, Kiji revealed that she was expecting Shaha's cubs.
After a fight with a rogue leopard, resulting in paired scars below his left eye, Kiji gave birth to five cheetons, three females and two males.
Shaha met a cheetah by the name of Taban shortly after the birth of sons and daughters. He was intrigued with joining in an alliance with the mercenaries of the Chokwe, and upon the agreement of the other adults of the family, his troupe joined the Chokwe. They didn't become mercenaries, but rather made up an entertainment half to the troupe and traveled apart from them, sharing information gained on travels when they crossed paths.
Some time after his sons and daughters reached adulthood, he and Kiji went separate ways. He insists that it was on nothing but the most pleasent of terms, but he carried a look of sadness deep in his eyes since then.
With all of his children gone their separate ways except his eldest, Safimoto, and losing track of Matawi and her family, he found himself mostly back to where he started, just with the addition of a usually quiet, yet supportive daughter.
They found their way back to the rest of the Chokwe. Together with Safi's adopted falcon chick, Altai, they decided to stay with the mercenaries as neither father nor daughter wanted to be without a large group around them.
