Personality: Tyche is a happy-go-lucky cub who always has something positive to say. She truly believes that fate and fortune have a significant influence on a lion's life, and tries her best to stay in good hands (and to help others with their troubles). She has a very gentle, old soul and is most like her father. Her accent (courtesy of her father as well) is not as thick as 'Kota's, and her drawl is more lady-like, though she doesn't talk as much (in that aspect, she's more like Isitini because she prefers to listen).

Personality: Magebari-gura is a quiet lioness who believes that many things simply need time, whether to heal or to come to a solution: time is the best medicine. She is an avid believer of those slow and steady shall win the race. Bari has helped many to heal emotional wounds with her belief of time, and intends to continue doing so with her family and pride.
Although quiet, she is a very friendly lioness who won't hesitate to put herself out into the open and make an acquaintance. Bari does believe that time will heal all wounds, and will give an answer for everything, but she does tend to burst into things child-like. She'll soon grow out of that, with this new adaption to a just-not-family way of living, in the Swamplands.

Other: This is how she got her true name, out on her naming quest as an adolescent:
Bamba tilted her head to look at the scene before her from another perspective. It had been a few days since she had left her homeland of the swamps and had already traveled a great distance. Though she did not know much of the bordering prides, she figured she was somewhere near the Pridelands, with the Umande'mfuni not far off, for she could see the mountains of the latter's pride from here. But she was close enough to see them distinctly, to see each peak of each mountain form a chain, a strong range that stretched along the horizon. That was why she had stopped, to take the time and inspect what she could from a safe distance.
The rock she had chosen as her perch was sturdy. It was half buried into a hill, and the overhang one side created was the perfect sleeping place while she stayed in this area. But when she was not sleeping, or hunting, or eating, Bamba was sitting here and looking at the mountains.
She found that if you tilt your head just so, you see almost-upside down mountains. If you tilt your head the other way, just so, you see almost-upside down mountains in a completely mirrored direction as the first way. Then, she also discovered that if you sit in one spot and move, inch by inch, to one side, the the mountains seemed to move in the other direction. Like she was pushing them away. And then, when she inched by the other way, the mountains came back to where they had originally been. The meditative patience she had entrusted herself to had led her to this great discovery.
For Bamba had discovered that only one lion can move mountains in one way. Though there are many mountains, and probably twice as many lions in the world, each one has their own way of moving the peaks to another place. Perhaps they tilt their head one way to see things in another. Or perhaps they scoot to the west, near a setting sun, and view the western side of the mountains more than the eastern. Either way, each lion moves their own mountains in their own way. Bamba had discovered only some of the many ways to do this, both literally and figuratively. She had discovered her true name, gazing upon these mountains. Because, given time, one's mountains may very well be at the opposite end of where they had started. |

Personality: Jaribu is old (not ancient, mind, for he still has a spring in his step, though he's not a young stud either), but he really is a rather clever lion. He never liked his vengeful, active family. He would much rather remain pacifist and only did what he had to in order to survive before he could leave. To all that agreed with his belief in nonviolence (unless it was utterly necessary), he was a kind and gentle lion. He looked after his own with a great duty and enjoyed doing so.

His family wanted to start up their own pride, but arguments and fights for power kept them from doing so. There was a tradition in their family/pride, however, to form tattoos on each other for achievements.
If you won a fight, you got a marking.
If you were the best in a hunt, you got a marking.
When you reached adulthood, you got a marking.
When you killed a fellow lion, you got a marking.
The last two were put on the face, the cheeks, as the two most important achievements in the pride, so everyone could see what greatness you had accomplished.
He left his pride one day during adulthood and never looked back. The markings he has on his coat now were what he was given for his achievements. The back markings are for hunts, winning challenges/fights, and the trivial things in his family's pride. The identical ones on his cheek mark two things: reaching adulthood and killing a fellow lion.
Which is why he left his "pride" in the first place.
