After healing yourself and restoring all your SP points, you head off in search of the boss monster. On your way, you find a lucky animal that is willing to assist you in your next five battles, a perfect way to start any boss battle.

Go to 29 to cast power up spells and such.

Coming clean is a pretty good idea when it could turn into a two against one fight, so you walk out into the open and say a hello, taking in the fact that you’ve never quite seen character models like these two before. The female character is all dressed in white and radiates a type of peace. Yet the male looks more zombie-ish than anything else, and you find yourself a bit unnerved when he rolls his head to look at you. Then you realize that the female character isn’t so much as standing but hovering, and while you study her the male character raises his right arm; an odd glow about it and pointing right at you. You don’t like the looks of this…

Go to 48 to stop and try and speak.
Go to 49 to draw your weapon.

Not knowing what was going on, you stay hidden where you are. You notice that the male player seems to be fixing on your position with a hungry stare, and you just start to think about leaving when suddenly he disappears. Blinking in surprise, you peek out from your hiding spot a bit further only to find that he’s standing right in front of you!

Go to number 55 to jump up, weapons in hand.
Go to 56 to sit there in surprise.

Thinking quickly, you try to say something to the two characters, anything you can think of to get you out of a troubling situation. This fails, and you dive aside right as the glowing on the male’s arm seems to explode and then fade; some sort of unseen energy whizzing right by you. Knowing a fight when you see one, you ready your weapon, though the male seems to freeze in time when the female character touches his shoulder.

Go to 57 to attack the male character.
Go to 58 to watch the female character.

Precaution is always a good thing, so you draw your weapon as you walk. At the same time, the male character pauses and lowers his arm, only to take out two blades of his own. A twin blade… a zombie twin blade… A zombie twin blade whose blades had three edges each. Tri… edges. Tri-edge. If the rumors on the boards are true, you’ve just come to the realization that your goose is cooked. It’s fight or die, so…

Go to number 55 to fight Tri-edge!

You bend down to carefully pick the item up; watching with wonderment as it glows in your hand. It looks like a bracelet of sorts, though an odd one. Thinking that you’ve just completed a rare event, you equip the item; watching as it appears on your right wrist, before gating back to ton.

Looking at the item, you leave it where it lies, as if knowing that it is not meant for you, nor is it something that you wish to carry the burden of. Instead, you chose to leave the area, and put Lost Grounds out of your mind forever.

A barrage of spells is just what the doctor ordered. Practically draining your inventory, your use of spells manages to keep the monster from getting close to you while also chipping away at it’s health until it finally reaches zero. A battle well fought, you do indeed gain a highly rare weapon that works wonderfully since it falls into your job class. It even has a special effect that can paralyze on it. Content with the weapon, and deciding you don’t want to risk loosing it by dieing in an unnecessary battle, you head back to town.

A physical attack tactic is a dangerous choice in such a close battle, but you’re one for living on the edge, and a second beast awakening and a few well placed Rengekis is enough to take the monster’s health down to where your strongest spell is enough to finish it. A battle well fought, you do indeed gain a highly rare weapon that works wonderfully since it falls into your job class. It even has a special effect that can paralyze on it. Content with the weapon, and deciding you don’t want to risk loosing it by dieing in an unnecessary battle, you head back to town.

Gating back into town and happy with your winnings you instantly go over to save your progress and start to logout of the game in order to go find some dinner when you remember the mention of the Lost Ground. Turning towards the Chaos Gate, you figure what would it hurt to explore one more area and thus open the selection menu.

You aim an attack at Tri-edge, but he blocks with ease and swats you away; sending you flying across the aisle way to crash into the floor. It felt as if you’re real body was thrown and suddenly your side and back hurts. You scramble to get up, but Tri-edge is already there and ready to finish you off. You shut your eyes and brace for the attack, but it never comes, and when you dare to open an eye you see the female character standing beside Tri-edge with a hand on his shoulder, seemingly keeping him frozen in place. Frozen in shock, you are unable to move and thus unable to dodge as Tri-edge swings his blades at you, effectively sending you flying and crashing into the opposite edge of the aisle. You attempt to scramble to your feet, but Tri-edge is much faster than you and he’s ready to deliver a finishing blow before you’re even to your knees. Cringing and flinching away, you’re ready to be PKed but nothing happens. Cracking open an eye, you see the female character standing by Tri-edge, a hand on his shoulder that seemingly kept him frozen in place. You…

In the moment that Tri-edge isn’t attacking you jump to your feet, weapon in hand and ready to take revenge for tossing you around like a rag doll. You don’t connect though, for it is as if both figures are suddenly holograms, and as you turn to face them again after passing through them, you find them both to be gone.
