I have a sense of right and wrong, but I have a sense of personal desire which has ultimate veto over the two. I have my standards, and on the occasion they agree with the common concept of right and wrong, it is only because it suits my purpose to do so. I'm quite the Machiavellian, you know.

I think that everyone tries to do what will be best for them, to some extent.

I would be truly alone if I were the last person on Earth. Despite whatever animals there may be, haunting memories would plague me with such guilt that I could not go on.
