I looked it up on world guns.
They make full auto M4s, but they're for special ops.

I thought that was the entire point of the M4, a fully-automatic carbine.

I always thought that too, but no not really. I guess they just wanted a shortened down M-16 but with the same functions. That's why special forces guys either use those modified M4's or CAR-15's.

The m4 carbine is not automatic.

The M4A2 is fully automatic, the M4A1 is burst. I think the Army uses the M4A2.
