A few times. Usually to be sarcastic or prove a point.
Otherwise, I avoid it as often as possible.

I'm guilty of it, yes, but only while chatting online. I always use proper grammar otherwise ^^

I only use 'txt tlk' when I'm on texting someone when I want to save money because my dad's so cheap.

I don't fully understand most "txt-tlk" abbreviations. Whenever I'm online, even if just in a chat, I type intelligently. I avoid abbreviations while texting unless I'm at the maximum symbol limit, at which point I only make the few abbreviations I need to shorten the message. My mother once used "kewl" while texting me, and I had to resist the urge to bash my head in.

Surprisingly, I have never accidentally slipped into "txt-tlk". In fact, I've always found that, in my case, it takes much more time to stop and type "u" or "r" then it takes to type out the actual word itself. The reason for this might have something to do with the way I type, because my fingers simply dash about the keyboard without me actually looking at it and in order to type in "txt-tlk" I have to stop and stare at the keyboard to peck away at the letters. I've also found that stopping to stare at the keyboard really hurts my eyes. crying
I've only ever used "txt-tlk" out of my own will. The only one I actually use is "lol". However, I must admit that I actually like "Srsly"! I just think it looks funny and its fun to try to pronounce.

Yes I do. I admit but usually in text messages when I'm trying to get my point across. (yes I have some very intense text messaging moments) If I don't have enough room I'll use "u" instead of you and "2" instead of to, and so on. On gaia I slip up occasionally especially when my friend are around *bows head in shame*

Yes, I'll use lols and such and I usually don't use apostrophes when texting because it takes forever to find it. That's about it though.

Occasionally, I do if I am really tired, or just in a chat room, I sometimes use the LOL. But that is about it.

No, I have a keyboard on my phone, so there is no need for that.

soupyeh On my phone there is an option to use Word instead of Abc. It makes typing out my words a lot better. Instead of (God I'm about to type this...) LOL I just write hehe or haha depends. The other day a group of teenagers were making cards for the old people at a nursing home and one girl asked if she can write LOL on the cards! Old People + Text Talk = what does that mean? sheesh I couldn't believe her. I would do that. :'D
I'm pretty sure there are few people still in America who don't know what "LOL" stands for. Heck, my mother knows what a rick roll is.
Yes, I "txt tlk" sometimes, but I never do it accidentally. I use it as a form of joking expression, and I let loose and use acronyms for the same reason, and for brevity. "U" and "n" and "y" irritate me to no end, however, and I refuse point blank to use them... ever.
And sometimes a simple, sweet LOL can put across more hilarity than all the hehe's and haha's the world can muster. :)
