But don't Muslims pray five times a day? Does that mean she would have to wash off and reapply the lipgloss that often?

first lipgloss does not attracts boys!! stressed

secondly yes ! you will have to !! i thought that was the reason girls have a beauty parlor in the purse? rofl

XD No, we keep so many things in our purses incase our make-up gets smeared, not because we plan on washing it off and reapplying it very often.

And I like lipgloss. ._. It's pretty.

1. Exacly.

2. But you can get married.

3. That dossen't mean that u don't need to thake it off! And isen't it haram? When people waste money on ridiculos stuff, while people are dying because of no food and drink!

Don't you have anything better to use your money on? Example a Playstation, ore a new hard-disk?

Why buy s**t, when u can buy teknology razz

Actually one would think that lip gloss is the lesser of two evils because it costs less than buying technology. Maybe you should rethink your statement.

Neither are a necessity, but it doesn't mean it is haraam because of that. If we were to give every spare cent out to the poor, we wouldn't be able to adequately take care of ourselves... It's everything in moderation. Lip gloss is somewhat frivolous, yes, but it also has some medical qualities as well, as it hydrates the lips, which is part of your body, which I believe is something to be encouraged in Islam, last time i checked. Dried lips become cracked and bleed, leaving you vulnerable to infection.
I consider lip gloss to be the feminine version of chapstick. xd

On a videogame however, you can get addicted and waste not only your time, but your parents money for the electric bill and get seriously distracted from life. You also have to purchase games to play on and a memory card....the costs add up. Which could feed a poor FAMILY far better than that $3.00 lipgloss.

If you have pictures in your house then Allah's angels will not come to check on you, therefore when you pray, your prays will not be as powerful as they should be... this means turn off tv's, pc's and get rid of all pictures in your house otherwise no angels will ever enter your house...

السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته

Seems like Allah is afraid of competition or something? They're just images! They have no significance whatsoever? Why would an angel or Allah seriously care if you have pictures in your house? Should Allah also be discriminatory of your weight as well?
This doesn't make any sense to me.

Alsalam AlaykUm ~

Allah isn't afraid of anything and will NEVER be .. Drawing Images of '' Humans '' >> It says in the Sunnah that this is forbidden. It is not permitted to draw anything that depicts animate beings, because the Prophet (PBUH) said, according to the saheeh hadeeth: “Every image maker will be in the Fire.” And he (PBUH) said: “The most severely punished of people on the Day of Resurrection will be the image-makers, those who tried to imitate the creation of Allaah.” And he (PBUH) said: “The makers of these images will be punished on the Day of Resurrection, and they will be told, ‘Give life to that
which you have created.’”

The Prophet (PBUH) cursed those who consume riba (interest, usury) and those who pay it, and he cursed the image-makers. This indicates that making images is forbidden. The scholars interpreted that as referring to images of animate beings such as animals, people and birds.

With regard to drawing inanimate objects – which is the second type of drawing – there is no sin in that, such as drawing mountains, trees, planes, cars and the like. There is nothing wrong with that, according to the scholars ~~
and With regard to forbidden kinds of pictures, an exception is made in cases of necessity, such as drawing pictures of criminals so that they will be known and caught, or pictures for identity cards which are essential and which cannot be obtained otherwise, and other cases of necessity. If the ruler decides that producing images of criminals is necessary, because of the seriousness of their crimes and to protect the Muslims from their evil when they are known, or for other reasons, there is nothing wrong with that. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“…He has explained to you in detail what is forbidden to you, except under compulsion of necessity …”
[al-An’aam ]

and of course Allah and the Angels cares !!!! and Allah sees everything so it's not any odd/strange thing .. and for me it does make sense !!

Not that I trust all these hadiths, But I do believe that it is forbidden to:

2. Worship a picture or anything in general other than Allah (SWT) in some way or take it as a higher power.

Drawing pictures without number 2 is ridiculous to me because there's nothing wrong with drawing, Drawings are all around us, It's only forbidden to take them as deities and the like of such.

I agree, people with not very much faith can consider these pictures as something powerful and should be worshiped, but of course this is wrong, and to forbid these things from happening, it became forbidden.

For me, I have pictures of my own, and from my childhood, and my parents. These moments are important, so it's nice to be remembered. The point from these pictures are not to show them off, they're just for you. So, no need to hang them on the wall!

I suppose I agree with you there, But my sister draws pictures all the time, and the only way it is forbidden is if you worship it or hold it high, You could still draw or paint whatever AS LONG as you DO NOT hold it anymore than a mere painting/drawing/picture.

So let's say that pic in your sig with the two hands shaking is a painting, Would that be haram or not?

The ONLY way it's haram is how you interpret it, You can have one thing, yet that same thing can be both haram AND halal, Such as lets say, Soda.

Soda is bad first of all for your health, Making it haram, but it is also Halal because it keeps you from being quenched, which is Halal. Do you see what I'm saying?
