When my account was hacked it was put under a ban as well cause of the hacker phishing. I never got a response cause she changed my email. But you are a very lucky case! Gaia must have a very empty list right now.
But I would scan your computer for a possible keylogger if you didn't do anything to get hacked. You never know where it might have come from.

well, there was nothing missing... the email was never changed, etc.
i use a mac - are there keylogging programs for that? i know i'm relatively safe from viruses...

And I have been wanting to give gifts for quite a bit. I had my trades locked for a bit after I got my account back and then I got my ability to trade back and now the gift giving system is down. I have a present I have had for a friend for over 2 months! xd

Ah, forgive me. I was posting at a point where I was busy and tired.
But that is alright. I have been giving off gifts for a bit since my friends threw me one heck of a birthday party.

Well... my story is easy....

In august 2007 I was one of the first, or at least I hope, to get caught in the not-so-gaia logged-off page surprised

And then my account just did not stop logging off... so idiot me I logged off and tried to re-log in and it did not work.

I thaought it was gaia that had problems so let it go, 3-4 days later, no more items and I reported.

I was PMed in may 08 by an admin becasue the e-mail I gave them was already used and another time because of whatever and I had to re-send the hack report.....

Other then that my account is still naked and banned 3nodding

And thanks to gift giving threads I was able to make this pretty new avy with plenty of new items I did not have at the begginning biggrin

........ What I hate the most is thta I am here since january 04.... and man that was a lot of items I lost xp

Hopefully you should get your old account back. If they at least had you resend the report that means they were thinking about doing something.
When you can find wonderful people that will help you it really makes you feel good. I am still thanking the people that helped me when I was hacked even though I have my account back.

Well contrary to many Gaian's buttheaded replies to any of your "I got hacked" posts, you don't have to give your PW out to get hacked. I work in the IT field (so I should have known better) and I know what I did and didn't do. What I didn't do was go on any phishing sites and give out my pw or anything like that. What I did do...First off I had an insanely easy PW. Second, on Sept 8 I turned off my firewall, spybot, and virus protection. I wanted my computer to run as fast as possible so I could try and snag some good deals on the new MC's (you know the ones that are sold as soon as they are posted). And I did. When I went to log on the morning of Sept 9, I couldn't get on. I tried the PW recovery, and the hacker had changed my email address as well. I immediately PM's an Omni-mod, and filled out a hacking report. I then noticed that he had not taken the March 04 sealed letter out of my store, so I had the trading pass disabled. The hacker PM'd me (from my own account...talk about getting pissed off) saying that if I didn't reactivate the pass, he would start posting porn to get the account perma-banned. So I decided to have the mod ban the account. Yesterday I got a PM on my mule saying that my report had been taken care of, and I actually got everything back. In less than a month. I was very pleasantly surprised. Thank you mods.

And except some items (The most expensive ones), everything is here biggrin

You can see it in my quest but I lost some quite good items... but I got a compensation whee

A OMG hat and a pitchfork biggrin

I got the account back in the beginning of September, when I asked for an update and they told me I forgot to give them something or whatever xp

And they gave it back biggrin

I am quite happy even if I will certainly not get my items back xp
They are so~ expensive O___o

iacked once. not a really interesting story behind it tho.
i just logged in one day and all my stuff was gone. over 300k worth of stuff. no trades were made as the guy used the gift system to get his items. he even used up all the money i had left to buy some stuff and give it to himself.
i hate hackers.
but thanks to Beady and Dragon Rose, i managed to get back up to my feet.

my acount by the name ichigo_kurosaki_09 got hacked so i made a new main account , xXx_ichigo_xXx09. all my items are safe though. i traded them to my new main before the hacker could get them. willa-wisp invite my new account to the guild just so you know!
