Dub or Sub...

Well, I go for the subs if at all possible. The dubs tend to be watered-down and rather stupid, but I guess they're for people who can't read fast. xd

But in all seriousness, subs have more information than dubs. They don't have the tones, so you don't know exactly how the character feels at the time they said it (unless you're actually listening to the original version while reading (like I do xp ). I stand by the subs! 4laugh

I would rather miss the anime completely than watch it as a dub... the freedom they take with changing to english (there are so many things lost in translation, even if they try to be accurate)... Dragonball Z is a great example of this, btw I think that Bleach and Naurto (he sounds so whiny) make terrible dubs.. Learn to read

Dubs should be shot. They're awful, and usually the people they hire to do the voice overs are sad excuses for readers. I know eight year olds that can put more feeling into lines.

With anime or other foreign cartoons, I actually prefer dub (when I have the choice). Just because for the most part, I'm not irritated by the English voice actors. However, whenever I watch a foreign live action film, it has to be subbed -- with live action, the voices need to match up to the lips...with cartoons, I can just throw it back at the animators. xD
