Fire and Ice (Romance RP)

[Hideaway Katherine]

Matthew had turned away to set down his cocoa, and turned back to see Lumi falling sideways. "Lumi...!" His eyes popped open and he reached forwards to grab her, just in the nick of time. Of course, her hot chocolate was all over the both of them, but Lumi herself wasn't hurt. He cradled her head in his arms. "Lumi? Lumi, are you okay?"

Lumi blinked a bit, grimacing. "Ouch," she murmured, noticing the liquid over both of them. "Sorry..."

He let out a sigh. He'd really thought she'd been hurt. Then he laughed, at her apologizing for the hot chocolate. "It's okay." He helped her up, then slid off his shirt, cleaning up any of the liquid that spilled onto the floor, before throwing it into his hamper. His upper torso looked as though he exercise a bit, though not daily, obviously. Therefore, he was perfectly comfortable without said shirt on. But he grabbed another from inside the closet anyhow. "Do you need another shirt to wear instead of the wet one?" He asked, holding up a black one with a rose on it, while he puled on a black with a flaming skull.

She blinked, "Y-yeah," she smiled, getting up and gingerly taking one of the shirts. She looked around for something to duck behind while she quickly changed her shirt. She did look at him out of the corner of her eye occasionally, blushing softly.

He turned into the closet so she could change, without fearing any prying eyes. So he didn't exactly see the looks she was giving him, though he did feel as though someone was watching him. Once she was finished changing, he turned around again, which messing with his eyebrow piercing. He gave her a somewhat cautious look, as if wondering if she was going to fall again.

Lumi fiddled with her lip piercing, then smiled weakly at Matthew. "Hey," she said, then noticed he was fiddling with his piercing as well.

Now it was his turn to blush. His hand dropped from his piercing, and he blew the short clumps of his white hair up and out of his face. "Err.... Since you spilled your hot chocolate, do you want mine?" he asked, pointing to the lightly steaming cup of cocoa sitting on the bedside table.

She shook her head, "No, its yours." she smiled, sitting back down and pulling her hand away from her lips.

Matthew nodded, going back to where he had been sitting on the bed, and took a sip of the cocoa. "Hmm.... Needs sugar," he joked, and pulled out the small baggie of marshmallows, pouring a fourth of them in. "That's better." He took another sip, a smirk on his face, as if laughing at his own joke.

Lumi smiled, shifting a bit in her seat. She fiddled with her shirt, then played with her lip piercing, "So... how long have your mom and my dad... erm..."

"Been together?" he finished for her. "To my knowledge a few months, though probably longer. They married last month," he said answering her question while swirling his cocoa slowly.

"Okay," she was glad that the two hadn't been together for a long time. She didn't like the idea that her father would've married so soon after her mother died.

Matthew noticed the change of mood in her. "You look sadder than before. Are you okay?" He questioned, setting down the mug again, and popping a single marshmallow into his mouth.

"Yep!" she nodded, smiling, "Just thinking about Mom," she replied.

"Where is she?" he asked, slightly confused. He didn't realize this may be a bad topic to go into.
