ffdarkangel Christianity has to evolve around the surrounding culture to get the message of God across, whatever that may take. I look foward to the day where homosexuals are accepted in the Methodist demoniation.
This is what Islam needs to do to survive in the future. Growing quickly or no, if it doesn't adapt to the surroundings, then like other living creatures that do not adapt...it will die until there are only a few groups left. Israel had her glory days, Christianity, while still strong, has persevered because of its unique ability to adapt to the time, therefore maintaining the emphasis of a "living" religion. Islam, in refusal to budge, will remain static and eventually hit a point where it no longer grows rapidly but will eventually decline to small numbers. Every religion that refuses to adjust will meet this fate, no matter what their scriptures and teachings say.
You want to talk about an extremely strong resistance to change? Look at the ancient cult of Baal. It is more or less a dead religion. The people refused to change, and it more or less died. It was a very, very, very strong religion. So strong that it caused monotheists to wander into polytheism, to get into the Bible, to exist in strong civilizations. It was THE religion of the time. Yet it failed to adapt to the changing times and became a thing of the past, remembered only by ancient text.
Oh, and the deal on homosexuality is ridiculous. I can't believe how immature people are about accepting those who are different from them. sheesh.

Ratri_Cat XeroRyn and that is why have our set of rules during war but some idiotic muslims took this as a reason for war and rejected what really islam hold on to it is like the permission for a husband to hit his wife when she dont listen the arrogant muslims took the advantage and deny the fact that we are permitted to do if the wife still dont listen even after advising and her attitude is over the limit and when hitting we cannot hurt the wife in any way and we cannot hit the face and the private part and the act of hitting is only to warn NOT TO HURT abusively!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I still am leery about "gentle hitting" part. You can still hurt people without leaving marks. It still sounds supportive of domestic violence, and I want you to clarify it, please.
well it actually hard i one way is from the prophet yaakub or jacob? if i am not mistaken he hit his wife with rattan like we punish a student first please define well domestic violence and the effects and reasons for it in Islam we only aloud such punishment when the wife misbehave too much (there is certain condition) the problem is that it is being misused and misunderstood by arrogant muslim when the wife misbehave the first thing is to advice then to warn then finally to hit but as is said to hit as to teach not hurt physically and emotionally

now ladies and gentlemen
be aware that in islam we have rules
about homosexuality
a gay person before being sentence for death
first is to advise
then if it is not working we seperate the couple until they insaf i mean dont be gay
if they dont regret of insaf we seperate them until they die
but if they are too serious like try to escape from the seperation then we can punish them by taking their life , i think...i really dont quiet remember
because homosexuality brings mooooooooooooore harm than goodness
i mean is their any benefit of being gay?

Simple, there is a benefit for society. If you can't have kids of your own (like homosexuals) and you want kids, you adopt them. You can't just have them like normal couples would. Since there are plenty of kids abandoned and currently living in our foster care system, the gays adopt these kids and give them a good home. So, since the straight couples are messing up and leaving their kids in the dust, God created gay people to help out. Yeah, that is my just reason as a Christian.
Plus, you can't surpress love. It is just cruel.

Wow, it's really been a while since I posted in here.
Angel -- You made me laugh there. It makes sense, BUT! If you logically follow Islam, there won't be any kids abandoned, and there wouldn't be lousy couples! So, gays wouldn't be useful if we followed that path..

Being gay is not a choice. Being useful in society is a choice. Being a stay at home mom or a mom that works part time or father that stays home with the kids or a full-time working father is a choice.
Your logic and reasoning is remarkably similar to Hitler concerning the "usefulness" of homosexuals.

Absurd, I was just saying it ironically, and as a response to Angel's thought, since you took it that serious. And since I really don't know the principle of what being gay is, whether it's feeling, or attraction.. I really don't know what to say. And I prefer not knowing ( About what being gay is )

Seriously, do you know how many kids are in our foster care system? We need at least part of a solution.
The world is not going to be all Christian/Muslims. It isn't possible, because of free will. Some people just don't want to be a part of religion and live by themselves in sin. Some people have evil that takes over their life, but it is mostly free will I believe, that causes all these problems. However, there are good sides to free will also. Yeah, I live in reality.
Being Gay is not a choice. Gee, why would I willingly decide to be the object of discrimination and hate, and have the risk of being thrown out of my house? That sounds like so much fun!
Being Gay is just like being straight, but you are attracted to your same sex. Why do you have crushes on the opposite gender?

Then you have no right to criticize homosexuality. You have no right to condemn them, especially since you refuse to learn about them. It's like the old Church's condemnation of Galileo's theory that the sun is the center of the universe and the earth revolves around the sun and the moon is blemished. He was accused of heresy and put under house arrest for telling the truth that was contradictory to religion. You are being blind and stupid for this assumption you carry.
