Avery knew that she couldn't ask the guy out until the following Monday, so she went to bed. She smiled, going to sleep.

Aiden walked into the school and smiled softly as he wasted no time in finding a girl to ask. She was a rather shy girl, but he made sure he wasn't acting desperate. He told the truth to her, she did seem like an interesting girl and he wanted to get to know her better.
This might turn out okay. I'll get the girl and win the best. A win-win situation.

Avery walked up to the school and past Aiden, actually wearing a skirt and a cute shirt. She walked over to the boy, holding her breath.
"Hi," she smiled softly.

The boy, Michael, smiled at her, "Hey...you're...Avery right? From my auto class? What's up?"

"Not much," she shrugged, then met his eyes. "I was just wondering, do you want to go out sometime?" she asked, smiling.

Michael looked away and sighed a little, "Avery...you're a nice girl and all, but....I don't really think you're my type. I'm sorry. Anyway...why the sudden interest?"

She blinked, "Oh..." she smiled softly, "Oh... well... I kinda needed help on my car..."

Michael thought about it for a moment, "Well sure, I'm not sure how much good I'll do, but sure."

It was a nice try though. She thought to herself, and this way she'd get a hand on the car too. She smiled, "Thanks," she turned and walked away.

Aiden watched Avery and walked up to her, "So what are you doing with Michael?" He smiled at her, "I already have my date set up for tonight."

"Oh, he's just helping me fix my car," she smiled. "But I'm not his 'type'..." she admitted, looking at him.

Aiden felt a little bad for setting her up like this. He bit down on his knuckle before he spoke, "Well when I'm done with my date, we could still play cards."

Aiden felt a little bad as the school day progressed. Even when school ended he wondered how Avery was.
He tried to put that out of his mind as he picked up Chelsea at her house for their night at the movies, "How are you doing Chelsea?"
