Cookies and Rivalry (otawara)

"Sure thing. It's on me." Danny said, grinning at her.
'.....'
'Are you an idiot? I'm low on money as it is and now I'm taking HER to a ROMANTIC dinner?'
'C'la vi.'

She looked at him, "No, you did the work today, I owe you. I'm paying," she said, walking out the door and pausing for him to follow.  

[otawara]

'Thank G-'
"No need, its my treat. Don't sweat it, I won't let you pay." Danny said.
'Go die in a fire....'
He smiled lightly at her as he walked outside.

"Yes, you will," she replied, looking at him. "Why do you want to pay?" she asked.  

[otawara]

"Because I... I just feel like it's my job." Danny said.
'Your JOB was just mauled over BY HER.'
'But... I don't seem to care so much anymore...'
'....I quit.'

She looked at him, "Well, it isn't your job," she replied, stepping into the restaurant.

"I know, but hey.... why not.... I mean... I'm glad to see you, so I'll pay up. I'll let you take the tip since you insist on paying." Danny said, hoping that would satisfy her.

She sighed, smiling, "Okay, but you have to give me something later on tonight," she bargained, pulling him towards a seat.

"No problem. Anything." Danny said as he pulled a chair for her.
'And now you're pulling chairs for her? And doing anything she wants? Are you stupid?'
'You liar.'

She raised an eyebrow, "You've turned into a gentleman eh?" she smiled a bit, pulling her chair in.

"Perhaps. Or maybe I'm still the rotten little kid you knew and hated." he winked playfully. Danny sat quickly on the opposite side of her.

She blushed a bit when he winked, but recovered quickly, "I'll just have to find that out, won' t I?"  

[otawara]

"I guess you will. So what's that 'thing' you wanted me to do, or will I have to 'just find that out' too?" he asked as he picked up his menu and smiled over at her.

"You're going to pick, I want a surprise," she replied, smiling and glancing over the menu.  

[otawara]

"A surprise eh? This should be fun. I've always liked your surprises." he said, calling the waiter over. "I'll have the Fettuccine Alfredo please?" Danny said. "And your girlfriend?" the waiter asked. "Oh... she's not my girlfriend.... yet...." he said the last words so low they were barely audible.
