Chiara Rowena stepped lightly toward the temple, a bouquet of freshly picked lilacs draped with a golden chain from which a small amethyst hung was carried daintily in one gloved paw. Before she entered the temple, she made sure her gloves, boots, and the rest of her outfit were straight and smooth, betraying no wrinkle or fluff of fur out of place. She combed her paw through her bluish locks, taming them so that her appearance would not offend the Goddess of Beauty should she be priveledged enough to lay eyes on her or her offspring. With a deep breath to steady herself, she squared her shoulders and sashayed into the temple, finding a place to lay her gift down, and then she knelt before the altar, waiting patiently.

Calista Coralie moved convidently towards the temple of Tegan, the Goddess of Beauty. She turned around to see what was taking her daughters so long, and sighed. The teen meankis were standing a few feet behind her brushing their long flowing hair.

"Would you two come along, you can do that later, " she snapped out, sounding rather annoyed.

"But mother, we must look our best, when we enter the temple,"her daughter Dulcie Domiduci sighed out, as she continued to primp

"Yes, it would be so disrespectful to enter not looking our best. Auvita Anawreteadded as soon as her sister had finished talking.

"Primp later, move now. I swear you two, are getting on my last nerve. We are here to set offering before The Goddess of Beauty not enter a Beauty contest " CeeCee barked out at the two.

The teens looked at eachother then back at their mother and started walking up towards the temple.

" I hope the Goddess Tegan is pleased with the gifts we have brought her" DeeDee stated, as she moved infront of her sister and mother, so she was the first to enter the temple

The three Meankis entered the temple and looked around, they stood in ah of the beauty of the building.

"Mother, do we leave the gifts on the table over there?" Ana asked

CeeCee nodded yes to her daughter questing, and walked over to the alter and placed the gifts upon it. The stated, then stepped back to her daughters and smiled.

Blythe strode into Tegan's private quarters. "I'm leaving," she said. "I'm claiming a domain, and I'm leaving."

Tegan's eyes widened and she sat up on the bedecked chaise lounge. "What? Leaving? But you're only a--" Her eyes trailed up and down the very adult form of her so-recently-teenaged daughter. "I see," she said, her voice low. "And what domain do you claim, my lovely daughter?"

"Meankis," Blythe crowed, triumphantly. "And no one can ever take it from me, not even you." She glared at her mother, daring her to object.

"I see," Tegan said again. "I do not begrudge you your success. You do me wrong to think so."

Blythe narrowed her eyes, trying to hide the surprise she felt at that statement. But.. you told me off in front of that silly mortal! she thought furiously. "Well!" she said in a huff. "I'm still going." Blythe turned toward the door, ready to storm out.

"I am proud of you, my daughter. Please do not be a stranger." The Goddess of Beauty murmured her benediction to the new goddess' retreating form.

Glorious had watched his sister storming out of the temple, unsurprised - Blythe fought often enough. But...hmmmn...well, he couldn't quite put his finger on the feeling, but he was curious. Swinging down from his perch on top of a statue, he stepped into the back area of the temple.

"Mom?" he called, keeping his voice low. It echoed faintly against the marble. The last thing he wanted to do was barge into Tegan's quarters unannounced, especially if she was in a bad mood.

Tegan was sitting rather helplessly in her quarters when she heard the voice of her son. She wiped a few tears from her cheeks before calling back, "Come on in, Glory."

Hearing a strange tone in her voice - it couldn't be tears - Glory's tail curled in surprise. He bolstered his courage for whatever lay ahead and entered the room. At first, his mother looked amazingly calm, collected from where she sat. Then he noticed her eyes were misted over.

"What did she do?" At first he was full of indignity and shock, both which he toned down before adding, much more softly, "Are you all right?"

Tegan smiled, although she was a bit surprised to see that Glory had grown, too. It seemed like such a short time since she and Pol had been fawning over their beautiful little eggs.

"She's gone," she said softly. "She claimed a domain and a temple..." Tegan sighed and hugged her son around the shoulders. "Oh, I'll be fine, Glory. It's just hard to see you and Blythe all grown up."

Especially when Blythe seems to resent me so... Did I hold her back? I never meant to... She's such a strong, proud girl!

Glory patted her reassuringly on the back, finding it awkward because of the difference in height. Was it possible that she was shorter? Of course not. That'd be too strange.

"What temple?" he asked, pulling away after a moment. Oh, the poor Kats that visited that place. He didn't have high hopes for her ability as a goddess - naturally, being her brother - and was certain that Blythe'd come running back soon enough.

Glorious ignored the cries of 'jealousy!' from his conscience. Just as ludicrous as Tegan being shorter. Absolutely, positively ridiculous.

Tegan rested her head on Glory's shoulder. He was so like his father... and she had to admit that Blythe was much like herself as a young goddess.

"She didn't say, but she's apparently decided to be the Goddess of Meankis. A wonderful opportunity of course; I always knew she had the ambition..." Tegan trailed off. There were certain things she couldn't really tell Glory, as her son and as Blythe's brother.

He sighed, tail and ears drooping toward the ground. "She's ambitious, all right." he agreed, somehow not surprised by his sister's choice in domain. Meankis seemed very appropriate. Under his breath he added, hopefully quiet enough not to reach Tegan's ears, "It's too bad she's also a jerk."

Ok, so maybe he wasn't being very fair. Blythe wasn't bad for a sister. Glory just wished she hadn't stormed out on such bad terms and upset Tegan in the process, and not even coming back to apologize.

That was one reason.. 'Jealous!' ..but it definitely wasn't the only one.

Tegan hid a smile at Glory's muttered comment. She knew all too well of the ongoing rivalry between her two children. And she also wished Blythe hadn't left on such poor terms, but the goddess was sure she would come around sooner or later. Tegan could be patient.

She raised a delicate brow at her son. "You would also do well with a domain, Glory. No need to quibble with your sister over such things."

Her remark hit home. Glory tried to suppress a groan at his own stupidity - how quickly he'd turned to sulking like a kitten over this! Now was the time to be the mature one, when Blythe wouldn't be. He drew himself up, thinking quickly. Being too eager would erase all his chances. But if Tegan thought he didn't want to... "You need me the most here, mom." he said loyally, deciding it was the safest route.

Glory was a good boy. "You're sweet," Tegan told him. "But didn't I survive without you? Your father and I did have lives before you and Blythe, you know." She teased him gently, ruffling his long hair.

Glory endured the hair ruffling, though his ears twitched a bit. He started to point out, "But you're old-!" and clapped a paw over his mouth far too late. Crud.

Tegan laughed outright at that, her large wings fluttering as if amused as well. "Only old compared to you, darling, and I dare say I remember you being just out of the egg not too long ago! And besides, age doesn't mean much to an immortal; you should know that by now."

The goddess wiped her streaming eyes and put her paws on her hips (accenting her trim waist and modest curves, of course), affecting an insulted air. "I hardly look old, now, do I, Glory?" she asked, one eyebrow quirked.
