Well, furry itself is a fantasy sci-fi fandom and dragons cross into that. Even though they are a mythical creature, they are often portrayed as antho in media so fit along in the category as well as you meet quite a few people that have a dragon as their fursona.

Sometimes those with reptilian-like characters are referred to as scalies, but the term is not used as often as it use to be. Was a time where people were trying to separate themselves from the term furry because their animals did not actually have any fur, but it has been embraced as an umbrella term for all.

I've heard the term scaly before! I always found it odd to seperate them...

Now...in furry rps....how does that you know..go? Do the animals possess animal abilities? Are they seperated, or do they intermingle? Or does that change all the time too? I'm really interested in the rps, especially if their done in chat since I haven't rped online in months!

It is truly different for everyone. Everybody has their own interpretation on how a world with walking and talking animal should function.

Ahhh, I would imagine that one could be hard..

Like would there be a nation of gorillas? do regular animals exist with furries side by side? But if the setting varries I would just need to take another step for prep...

But as I said, the setting for RP are always different. Usually agreed on by those involved or chosen by the person setting up the RP to begin with.
