Personality: Even as a cub, Kali completely understood her old pride's customs and traditions (the Kunanda value bright and colorful coats). Because she has a bit more white than her sister, she always followed her example and tried to be a perfect little girl in order to be born with a even brighter coat with no neutral colors on her next life. Even now that she has joined the Kizingo, she still believes in most of the things she was taught so she might be seen as uptight on occasion. She's usually pretty friendly and cheerful though.
History: She was born in the K'N where bright colors are favored and females rule over males. She then left with her mother and sister and together they joined the Kizingo'zaa. |

Personality: This cub is a quieter than most and you might spend an entire day by his without ever knowing what he's thinking. He likes his space and most will have to learn from experience that he's not a pushover despite his lower ambitions (especially as a cub). He greatly despises those who get in his way or go about bullying others. Omari would probably grow up to be an average crew member if he was wasn't quite so... vain. That's right, he loves the pride's little trinkets and he can't wait to have some of his own! He's not shy about it either. Omari will never really like fermented fruits or big and long pirate parties for that matter. However, he likes to listen to pirate songs and make up ones of his own - his voice is pleasant enough but much too childish and it will probably get better as he grows. The only time you can get him to open up is when you ask him to sing. Only then will you get a peek into what goes on in this little guy's head. He seems to rather protective of his sister but not of females in general. He has a deep sense of loyalty regarding his family members and later his crew but he might not really show it ("Family and Crew, you can't choose so you gotta learn to live with them.")
History:His mother greatly respects the pride leader Pirato (who seems to give her some special attention) so Omari will also be very respectful of Pirato. He is grateful that they've been born into this pride and while he doesn't particularly embrace all of its views, the little cub is quite happy at the moment - even if he doesn't show it. Omari has always loved the prides's little trinkets but he is especially fond of fabric.
Family Members:
Makena'Lisedi - Makena's a spitfire of a girl, though she can be truly sweet. Sometimes shes even border line naieve. She just believes the world is an amazing place, and has met no one so far that changes her mind. She fell for a rogue, but when she went to tell him she was pregnant, he was gone. So now she raises her cubs on her own, and loves them very much. She found the Maestros Del Mar pride and was instantly intrigued. She loved the life that was around the beaches and sand, and everyone treated her really well. Pirato, the Commodore, took a special interest in the young adolescent, though it will never be anything, he does make sure shes well cared for.
Schylar - The middle brother, he feels he has alot to achieve in order to be bigger than his brother. He loves his family, but he feels that competitive need of most young boys to be better than their older brothers. Hes a loyal male, who aspires to be a good crewmember to Maestros Del Mar. He follows Pirato's rule, and tries to learn from him as much as possible.
Cortez- Your typical lil' kid, only instead of saying "I wanna be an astronaut" or "I wanna be a fireman", it's "I wanna be cap'n of a crew!" And he's sure to start making sure his name is spread about even as a cub. Mischievous but not mean-spirited (so far), Cortez acts like a bigger and tougher boy than he actually is, even acting as if he discredits his family for being only "crew material" or "giiiiiirls". 'Course, once Makena lets him play with her new swanky pirate items, he's 100% Momma's Boy.
Zamora - she is a very smart cub, and very loyal to her mum. She has a mix of hero worship and concern for her naive, but comptent parent. She's very serious most of the time, but has a playful streak in her that leads to all kinds of mischief and pranks, especially if she can embarrass her male siblings in anyway. Zamora loves to torture them, but only she can! Gods help anyone who picks on any of her kin. She'll band together with them and teach whoever it is a lesson, even if she is right pissed at the lot. Only SHE gets to abuse her sibs. Its her job after all. You're more then likely to find Zamora with mud and dirt on her, but she can play innocent with the best of them, and is starting to figure out that females are underestimate and that can be a real advantage!
Pizarro - Not much of an explorer at all, Pizarro's name is actually quite the misnomer. It's not that Pizarro is a coward or anything. Actually, yeah it is. When all's said and done, the poor boy is afraid of pretty much everything involved with being part of a crew. Warm, wet blood makes him kind of ill and his own blood makes him faint. Nevertheless, he is a proud lion and unwilling to admit to his weaknesses, thus he turns his willpower on himself to force himself to do things he finds repugnant. He will also develop a definite skill for bluffing, which is probably the only way he is able to convince his brother that he's still superior and a worthy competitor. He has no problem using his bulk as an intimidating factor to avoid violence.

Personality: While most around him seemed to be in tune with Ewya in general, Sata always felt a special connection with the creatures of the jungle. Ever since he was a cub, this bright boy could instinctively tell what they were feeling or thinking, anticipating their reactions with unusual ease. The creatures slowly accepted the presence of the harmless cub and Sata often found their company almost as fulfilling as that of that his own family, taking every opportunity he could find to explore the deep jungle and make new friends. He is a bright and happy cub with a nose for adventure, full of energy and wishful thinking. His future career choice will come as a surprise to no one, of course. Because of his deep understanding of the jungle animals, Sata will find hunting particular excruciating when he grows up.
History: Sata is an heir who sneaks off the safety of the hometree more often than not. As he grew, he has slowly tried to stay closer to his family.
A Note on His Rank: A Whisperer has a deep understanding of the creatures of the forest with whom he bonds deeply. They help him (or her) watch the borders, find disturbances and maintain the wellbeing of their home. A Whisperer will often feel more comfortable around the jungle creatures then the rest of his pride members. As such, there is an old saying going around which humorously states that Whisperers only marry other Whisperers - not necessarily true but it does seem to happen more often than not. Should a lion wish to have a companion, they may address a Whisperer who will look for a compatible creature.
The jungle animals often follow Whisperers around but they should never be considered “tamed” because the relationship between them is one of trust and respect. Animals who are sick, very old or in terrible pain will (rarely) approach a Whisperer they accept and offer their lives to their feline brothers. This is seen as a sign of the great trust and deep bond between the Whisperer and Ewya and proof that the Whisperer is doing his job properly. Creatures bonded with the Whisperers are usually marked and should not be harmed by the pride members.

Meaning: A name I stole from “Quidditch Through the Ages”. /geek

Rank: Quaero (I thought scout suited him best and all the gold/yellow just screams Hufflepuff… ^^’)
History: Because of his rank (Quaero), he reported directly to the Regius so he had developed a good friendship with previous head of his House. The assassinations took a great toll on him: he’d always hated the competitive and even aggressive nature of the inter-House relations and the death of the Regius (symbol of loyalty and kindness as well as a close personal friend) was the final blow. He left before the fighting even started. After spending a lot of time alone in the rogue lands, Cyprian now believes his actions were an act of disloyalty because he should’ve stayed and fought with those he called friends and, as such, unbecoming of a member of his House. When he found out about the pride’s revival, Cyprian decided to return, make amends and do his best to maintain the peace.
Current: Cyprian considers his past actions shameful and wants to prove himself once again. He hopes to attain his previous rank but because he’s still a little damaged from past events, he’ll be a little distant towards the new Regius. Likewise, he will also maintain a certain distance from Hetal. He still sees the leader as the cub he once knew so it will take a while for the wild dog to see her as a suitable leader (or even as an adult!) to a pride with such a bloody history. So far he seems pleased with the new structure of the pride at least.
As for personality, the death of the Regius he so admired as well as the time he spent living alone in the rogue lands have changed his light-hearted nature. His loyalty and desire to stop at nothing to protect his friends hasn’t changed but he’s more serious now, more focused and sometimes even gruff. He's intent on getting the job done, teaching it to next generation and just generally contributing in any way he can to the prosperity of the pride and that is the only thing that might ease his heart in the future and bring his old self back.
