BIO: Chewa began life as a fairly normal cub, with a few exceptions. However, as he grew older, he became quiet, his behavior turned erratic and his behavior was so strange that others in his pride began to attack him. His father, who had once been very loving, started to distance himself from him, not knowing how to cope with his son’s strange new behaviors. Eventually, Chewa wandered away from his pride and got lost.
Chewa suffers from several delusions and disorders. First and foremost, he believes that he is always inside Bhanu'Ecchumati and cannot be convinced otherwise. Like his mother he also has a tendency toward forgetfulness and distraction, which is worsened by his jumbled thinking - he often needs to be told the same thing twice before he gets it. His jumbled thoughts have also had a bad impact on his speech. He speaks in short sentences and makes up new words, leading some to believe that he's stupid or childish. His moods can be manic or depressive. Even though he seems childish Chewa is more than capable of complex thought - it's just that these thoughts tend to be extremely disorganized.
Aside from his odd behavior, Chewa is incredibly sweet. In fact he is toxicly sweet. No matter how much someone abuses or takes advantage of him, he always comes back to them sooner or later, usually with some kind of gift. The gift is often something he made himself – or rather tried to make himself. Since he was a cub he’s been very imaginative and creative. There was a time when he could have become a great crafter but as his illness progressed more and more of his projects have gone unfinished, which is a continuing source of frustration for him. He's a lion of few words but his mannerisms are heavily exaggerated and often quite goofy.

BIO: She's basically a sociopath and has an impaired ability to feel empathy. She only cares about looking out for herself. Intelligent and highly ambitious; once she sets her mind on something it's impossible to stop her until she's accomplished her goal, so if she sets her mind on killing you, you're completely out of luck. She's possessive and falls easily to jealousy. As a cub she'll want to have an army of friends, not for social contact but merely to do her bidding and make her popular, because popularity leads to power and influence. Despite that, she'd turn on any of her friends in an instant if they displeased her. Her anger is usually extremely cold.
Being a Tu'azane Shababa naturally has an extensive knowledge of the pride's history, traditions and laws. In fact her ability to recite the pride's laws is somewhat creepy. Her memory is quite good, but due to her lack of emotion she comes off sounding a bit like a computer. She has learned to fake her emotions by now, smiling when she's expected to smile and frowning when that is expected of her, and she's slowly learning how to manipulate others. Sometimes though she comes off as a bit manic. This just means she's trying too hard.
She greatly prefers the company of other females. Having no desire for cubs or love, she sees little point in socializing with males unless it gives her power. She generally sees men as the inferior sex, though she doesn't voice her opinion.
Interesting note: Shababa believes that her demon is male.

BIO: Kobe'gumu is the former king of Ilanga'Izwe, a pride which went to war with Mwezi'Johari over a generation ago. Originally Kobe had an older brother who was the true heir to the throne. Unfortunately, after his brother perished to an infection, Kobe was forced to take the throne in his place. He was only an adolescent at the time of his brother's death and had only a short time to prepare for his new role. Some have seen the suddenness of his brother's death as a factor in his poor leadership.
When the Ilanga'Izwe lands began to die, Kobe wanted to wait it out. Kobe always went to *Habanana, his mate, first when important decisions needed to be made and she agreed that it would be best to wait it out, even though at least one member of the council suggested moving to a new territory. However, after months of watching his pride slowly suffer and increasing pressure from the pride council to do something, Kobe made a drastic choice: war with the Mwezi'Johari. With many capable warriors in Ilanga'Izwe, Kobe believed they could strike a decisive victory in spite of their decreased numbers. He was wrong.
Kobe's reasons for going to war were almost entirely selfish. Although some part of his decision was based on his concern for the well-being of his pride, he thought that going to war would give him legitimacy as king and win him glory that would surpass even that of his late father. Although she disagreed with him, his mate helped Kobe during the war by developing strategies with him. When she was killed by an assassin from Mwezi'Johari, Kobe plummeted into depression and Ilanga'Izwe's odds of winning fell with him.
After working his entire life to live up to his father’s image, Kobe sees himself as a failure. Before the war he was criticized as a cowardly ruler, but that is not so. Kobe is merely careful and cares deeply about the well being of every lion in his pride, reluctant to help the majority if it hurts the minority. Kobe thrives on structure, putting more faith in tested experience than untried ideas, and takes a long time to adapt to a new routine. Hesitant to make snap decisions, preferring instead to think long and hard before he acts, he only acts impulsively under intense pressure, such as the crisis that led to the war. His name reflects his personality. He’s a serious fellow, especially after everything he’s lived through, practically oblivious to others’ sense of humor though he will chuckle if he thinks it makes his friends happy, even when he doesn’t get the joke.
Kobe had six cubs with Habanana, one of which was Dusana and all of which are now dead or dispersed.
