Whatever your names mean in your native language, it bears zero meaning when translated into katakana. Those are just phonetics, and though some of them may sound exactly like certain kanji, you can rest assured that whatever pops up on the system you are using is just nonsense. The few exceptions perhaps, are those with either Chinese, or Korean names. When it comes to racial identity I'm a chinese, and it's extremely difficult for me to pin down how it should be read because each word has lots of different possible pronunciations in Japanese. If you're thinking about Korean names, please consult an expert in that field.

I can also convert any name into Chinese, but it holds no inherent meaning since the words that would constitute your name are just phonetics.

Once you understand the difference between katakana, hiragana and kanji, it would become very clear that these systems translating your names are just spouting rubbish. It's not just fishy, it doesn't make any sense in the least.

Foreign words are always written in katakana, which are meaningless just by themselves alone. You don't write 'pink' as 'ぴんく'(pinku), it's 'ピンク'(pinku). Hiragana 'か'(ka) can be interpreted as '火', '課', '家' or '禍' for example. However, the katakana 'カ'(ka) is just a sound, and does not constitute a kanji.

My name is a tad awkward because the way both Kanji's are read is different.

My name has two kanjis: 遠 (Tou - Eternal / Usually it's read "En"), and the other is 希 (Ki - Hope). Eternal Hope is my name. The first Kanji would actually make my name read "Enki" unless I actually explain it.
