I technically have no religion per se, but I'm open minded about it all - I like to believe that something spiritural created us all, but I don't believe that simply because a god may be there means he has to baby us - I hear people all the time saying things like "I wont believe in a god who doesn't do anything about murder or illness." But who says he needs to? Religion goes deeper than that surely. I also believe there should be no distinction between religion and science - take for example Christianity; it is said that god created everything in 7 days (I see that metaphorically, not literarly) so he would take the time to create man, goats, water...yet not the big bang itself? It doesn't make any sense when I hear people argue against evolution since surely it's part of god's plan? I'm not saying there is or is not a god's plan but as I said I'm open minded. And if there is no god, science is still proved - but I just think they co-exist, the battle between both 'sides' seems idiotic. I learned about Hinduism and such in high school but they didn't exactly go into detail about it so I lack knowledge on many religions really. I don't like it when religion can be too radical; e.g "Homosexuality is wrong..." which doesn't make any sense as what happened to forgiveness? Nevermind the fact that gay people are no different than hetrosexual people. But certain sides to religion can help run a safe and successful life: Don't kill, done! Don't cheat on your wife, okay! Stuff like that just makes good sense. And it can be a comfort to those who need it, and it's just interesting as well. xxx

If anything I suppose I'm agnostic, I just don't generally do organized religion. I think that in the beginning, something had to set things in motion (i.e. The Big Bang), and every living thing has a bit of that original energy in it, because energy never goes away, it just changes. Religion started to fill humankind's need to understand things larger than them, like why the rain falls or the seasons change, so different people started forming beliefs that sounded right to them. Therefore, each and every religion is true because it's true for its believers. Unfortunately, as with fans of a certain show, people get overzealous about their beliefs and thus wars are spawned. So, I think it's better to hold good ideas, because ideas can change easier than beliefs can.
Or perhaps an easier way to put it would be one of my favorite Einstein quotes: "A man's ethical behaviour should be based effectually on sympathy, education, and social ties and needs; no religious basis is necessary. Man would indeed be in a poor way if he had to be restrained by fear of punishment and hope of reward after death."

Alright. Firstly... to get this out of the way. You can be a solitary Wiccan, but you're not a proper one until you've been in a coven that is lineaged (meaning descending from Gardnerian or Alexandrian "Wicca" which would be British Traditional Wicca). You can DEDICATE as a solitary, but not INITIATE. INITIATION is an obvious term, it means you must be INITIATED. Duh.
Okay. Now that that's out of the way.
I am loyal to the Tuatha de Danann, the Irish gods. They are "Family" and if anyone says any different, well, they can just ******** off.
My practice is traditional witchcraft, and fairy faith.
My philosophies run through the old beliefs, as well as a little bit of gnosticism, just because of my ties. And I'll probably end up having to join a UU church because my prospective husband is Christian, though an open one.
I believe that any and all gods and god-like entities exist, just not all of them deserve my respect, or even attention.

So? Honestly, pages 2-3 I didn't even read through.
I'm still going to say whatever I feel like. Not really sorry either.

In real life? I'm a Christian, but not the bigoted hateful fakes that are part of the BNP and KKK. They will burn in hell for what they have done, just like the Nazis. In my roleplay form as Lord Sithious though? I believe in my religion, which pretty much revolves around Lord Sithious, the incarnation of evil itself. If anyone knows what the Sith philosophy is, that is basically the other part of the religion. Making friends just to kill them is fun! blaugh (Just kidding!)

ferret658 I'm a Southern Baptist Christian. I don't believe in religion because that's man's attempt at getting to know God. Religion is laws and formality. A personal relationship with Jesus Christ is what life is all about. ^^ by george- he's got it!
