The New Breed (OPEN!!!/ACCEPTING)

Anya yawned this battle wasn't particularly interesting but the sounds looked pretty. You see Anya had both Lexical - gustatory synesthesia and Total Sound - color synesthesia meaning she saw sounds and tasted words witch wasn't always as fun as it sounds. Anya was pretty fine lying on the roof listing to Gabriel's aristocratic tones and the crackle of the flames, the sirens were a different matter. When more and more police vehicles arrived the images in front of her eyes got fast and intense but it was bearable if she concentrated.

Joshua floated above the burning mall. He sighed as he figured he should probably go see what had happened. As he floated down to the roof he noticed a girl laying there. He wondered why he hadn't noticed it before and walked over to her. He made as little sound as possible as he wasn't sure if she was like him and had caused the fire. A lot of things like that had been happening around here.

Anya noticed Joshua easily, the sirens and the fight where Red and brown but Joshua's shuffle was a green spot that blinked in and out. Anya looked around, seeing him easily she didn't recognise him so she pulled on her noise cancelling head phones. She focused on his head seeing if it was different, she pulled out her smaller wings and tilted her head.

Joshua watched as she turned toward him and focused her attention to him. He couldn't stop now so he continued to approach her normally this time. "What are you doing up here? You do know this building is on fire right?" He was starting to think this girl might be a little weird in the head. He noticed her wings a little and figured she was like him. 'I wonder if she can fly too...', he thought.

Anya read his lips, and nodded, and shook the wings vigorously, they made a "shink" kind of noise and were suddenly very hard and metallic. She held the wings in front of her and stared at the man stretching her main wings behind her and hunkering down.

Joshua watched in awe as the girl spread another pair of wings. He stepped back a little and jumped into the air. He called up an updraft of wind and rose up into the air. "Those wings of yours look a little heavy...um what's your name?" Joshua wondered whether this girl was on his side or the side of the scientists. He figured he should get a little distance between them for now.

Anya didn't answer, she couldn't she just moved her mouth hoping he got the idea. She folded her wings back to the wind didn't disturb her, she was watching him, she could see his brain work as he moved this made him easy to read.

Joshua didn't understand what she had mouthed but did understand that she couldn't talk. The way she was watching him so closely was a little creepy, like she knew what he was thinking.He just waited there in the air, hovering, wondering what was different about her, besides the fact that she had metallic looking wings of course. He figured it had to do with the earphones she was wearing .

Narrowing his eyes, Renka jumped down to the level Gabriel was on and drew his gun from his belt, taking two shots at the pyro-maniac while keeping himself on the move to not get hit as easily.

Anya had figured this guy out already, he was trying to work her out as well. She plugged in an MP3 player and started to play some music, music that looked nice and more importantly was small and to the sides of her vision, she just kept staring at him.

Gabriel rolled out of his sight and climbed again till he got to the top, he shot a flame either side of Renka. When he got to the top he noticed Anya he didn't bother shouting he just ran other and tapped her on the shoulder.

Anya smiled at him then turned back to flying guy.

Joshua watched as another person appear and shot fire from his hands. 'He must be the fire starter', Joshua thought. The girl smiled at the boy and confirmed she wasn't with the rebels. He formed a ball of compressed air between his hands and threw it at the boy.

Renka used some rubble as a shield from the fire, then called his blood needles back and melted them back into a floating board. He jumped on and flew up after Gabriel, seeing someone shot something at the pyro. "Hey air-head, the pyromaniac is mine..." he called to the guy, then let off another three shots at Gabriel.

Anya ran in front of Gabriel holding the wings to block as much of the wind as possible, but enough hit her to make her fall back into Gabriel with a squeak.

Gabriel caught Anya and stood her up "Idiot" he said bending over so she could see her mouth. He turned to the flying guy, "You don't hit Anya" he said smirking forming a flaming whip that he swung at him.

Anya heard the bullets through her music and spun quickly blocking two of the bullets. The flagstone hit her head, breaking her headphones. She let out a scream as she heard the Sirens again, they were to loud, to bright, it hurt.

Joshua easily dodged the whip and threw another ball of compressed air this time at Anya. He nodded to Renka. "Alright then. I'll take the other one."
